BIOMASS IN FOCUS

Instituto Senai de Inovação em Biomassa, ligado
ao sistema da FIEMS (Federação das Indústrias do
Estado do Mato Grosso do Sul), com sede em Três
Lagoas (MS), tem se destacado na produção de
pesquisas para o setor de biomassa, em busca de novas fontes
renováveis para geração de energia, produção de biocombustíveis,
bioinsumos. A Revista REFERÊNCIA BIOMAIS conversou
com o diretor do instituto, João Gabriel Marini das Silva, que
após atuar por 20 anos na área de metalurgia e soldagem,
assumiu a gerência do instituto em 2020 e em março de 2024,
passou a ser diretor. João Gabriel comentou sobre as linhas de
pesquisa e avanços já obtidos pelo instituto desde o início de
sua fundação.

he Senai Institute for Innovation in Biomass, linked
to the Federation of Industries of Mato Grosso do Sul
(Fiems) system and located in Três Lagoas (MS), has
distinguished itself in the production of research for
the Biomass Sector in the search for new renewable sources
for energy generation, biofuel production, and bio-inputs.
REFERÊNCIA Biomais spoke with João Gabriel Marini da Silva,
Director of the Institute, who, after 20 years of work in the
field of metallurgy and welding, took over the administration
of the Institute in 2020 and became Director in March 2024.
