Bu araştırmanın amacı, grupla öğrenme yönteminin hem kırsal hemde merkezi yerleşim
yerlerde öğrenim gören öğrencilere bilgi ve beceri kazanıp kazanmadığını test etmeye yöneliktir.
Araştırmanın örneklemi, 2003-2004 öğretim yılı bahar döneminde biri Merkezi Lise (ML) ve
diğeri ise Kırsal kesimindeki Lise (KL) olmak üzere iki Lise de toplam 56 öğrenciye
uygulanmıştır. Bu liselerin ikinci sınıflarında öğrenim gören Fen şubelerinde, her biri dört
öğrenciden oluşan gruplar oluşturuldu. Daha sonra bu gruplara, Kimya dersin yıllık planı
dikkate alınarak “ çözeltiler” ünitesi kapsamındaki konulara beş hafta süreyle grupla öğrenme
yöntemi uygulanarak işlenmiştir. Grupla öğrenme yöntemin öğrencilere kazandırdığı bilgi ve
becerilerin etkinliğini ölçmek için; Ünite bitiminden sonra on sorudan oluşan, grup çalışması
hakkında, öğrenci görüşlerini almak için Grupla Çalışma Görüş Testi uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen
veriler SPSS paket programı kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Değerlendirme sonucunda, grupla
öğrenme yönteminin, hem merkezi hemde kırsal yerleşim yerlerdeki liselerde öğrenim gören
öğrencilere, bilgi ve beceri kazandırdığı sonucuna varılmıştır.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS THE STUDENTS IN THE HIGH
SCHOOLS ACQUIRE THANKS TO THE COOPERATIVE
LEARNING METHOD
Abstract
This research was carried out in two high schools, the one is a central and the other is a rural
high school. Sampling of the study involves a total of 56 students in 10th grade students of two
residence schools in 2003-2004 educational year spring term. They created the groups, each of
which had four students for one class of science at the second class. Later these groups were
taught the subjects in the unit of “solutions” using the cooperative learning method for five weeks
by taking annual schedule of chemistry into consideration. In order to evaluate the effectiveness
of knowledge and skill the students gained by group work, Cooperative Study Opinion Test was
applied to get students’ opinions which consisted of ten question at the end of unit. The
information obtained was evaluated using the packet programme of SPSS. At the end of the
evaluation, they concluded that cooperative learning method enabled students attending both
central and rural high schools to gain better knowledge and skill.
