On the Way Back…

With this issue, we are overturning another season and leaving summer behind. This

summer season, which we live a little different from each year and with a little more

difficulty, actually pushed us to be more sensitive in terms of our personal care. This

must be the only advantage of this difficult process for us ☺

We listened to ourselves the most during this period and showed the greatest care

in our health and care during this period. While spending time on the beaches and

beaches in the common areas, we paid attention to the hygiene rules during this

period most.

Of course, being careful and taking precautions is not always enough alone. We must

always shape our actions in the framework of tomorrow. For example, against the

sun that warms us. After this period when we store vitamin D and embrace plenty

of sunlight, we should not hinder our oxygen-enhancing treatments for our hair and

skin.

In the first month of autumn, our industry will have its first fair in a long time. We look

forward to counting down the days for this FIRST that we will all live together.

Bu sayımızla birlikte bir mevsimi daha deviriyor ve yaz ayını geride bırakıyoruz. Her

yıldan biraz daha farklı ve biraz daha zorlanarak yaşadığımız bu yaz mevsimi, aslında

kişisel bakımımız açısından bizi daha hassas davranmaya itti. Bu zor sürecin bize

kattığı tek avantaj bu olsa gerek ☺

Kendimizi en çok bu dönemde dinledik ve gerek sağlığımızda gerekse bakımımızda

en büyük titizliği bu dönemde gösterdik. Ortak kullanım alanı plajlarda, kumsallarda

vakit geçirirken, hijyen kurallarına en çok bu dönemde dikkat ettik…

Tabii dikkatli olmak ve önlem almak her zaman tek başına yeterli olmayabiliyor. Her

daim yarın çerçevesinde hareketlerimizi şekillendirmemiz lazım. İçimizi ısıtan güneşe

karşı mesela. D vitamini depoladığımız ve bolca güneş ışığını kucakladığımız bu dönem

sonrası, saçlarımız, cildimiz için oksijen arttırıcı bakımlarımızı da aksatmamamız

lazım…

Sonbaharın ilk ayında sektörümüz uzun süre sonra ilk fuarına kavuşmuş olacak. Hep

birlikte yaşayacağımız bu İLK için günleri sabırsızlıkla geri sayıyoruz.

Aslında her anlamda geri dönüş yoluna geçtik ve adımlarımıza hız katıyoruz. Bir

sonraki sayımızda güzel haberlerle sizi karşılayabilmek dileğiyle.

Summer Vacation with Covid

Sea, sand, sun… Unfortunately, the summer

months that every person looks forward to

and needs every year is hit by Covid this year.

While the negative effects of the Covid-19

virus, which we do not even want to hear

the name of, cause some difficulties in our

lives and bring necessities, we are trying to

meet our needs for a vacation. Although the

mask, distance and hygiene rules are fully

implemented, we can have our holidays in

certain areas because the Covid rules in our

lives put us in narrow spaces. While Covid-19

rules are the priority and obligation for our

health, we have to live our holiday pleasure

with a limited amount. On the other hand, we

take care by not ignoring the negative effects

of the sun and by not returning with damaged

skin that is very difficult to repair.

One of the sectors negatively affected by the

Covid-19 virus was the fair industry. The news

that heralded the end of our longing for the

fair came recently. In the statement made, it

was stated that physical fairs held in a closed

area will be reorganized with new measures

as of September 1. It was emphasized that

exhibitors, visitors and officials will enter

the fair area by querying the HES code. As

Beauty Turkey magazine, the first fair we will

attend after the pandemic will be the Beauty,

Cosmetics, Medical Aesthetic Devices and

Equipment CNR Beauty Wellness Show on

September 10-13. We wish success to all

partners of our industry.

gözle beklediği ve ihtiyacı olduğu yaz ayları

maalesef bu sene Covidli. Artık adını bile

duymak istemediğimiz, yaşantımızda bir takım

zorluklara yol açan ve zorunlulukları getiren

Covid-19 virüsünün olumsuz etkileri hala

devam ederken, bir yandan da tatil ihtiyacımızı

gidermeye çalışıyoruz. Maske, mesafe, hijyen

kuralı eksiksiz uygulansa da hayatımızdaki Covid

kuralları bizleri dar alanlara sıkıştırdığından

belirli alanlarda tatilimizi yapabiliyoruz.

Sağlığımız için Covid-19 kuralları önceliğimiz

ve zorunluluğumuz olurken, tatil keyfimizi

sınırlandırılmış olarak yaşamak zorunda

kalıyoruz. Bir taraftan da, güneşin olumsuz

etkilerini de göz ardı etmeyerek, onarımı çok

zorlaşan hasarlı ciltlerle dönmemeye özen

gösteriyoruz.

Covid-19 virüsünden olumsuz etkilenen

sektörlerden biri de fuarcılık sektörü oldu.

Geçtiğimiz günlerde fuar hasretimizin bittiğini

müjdeleyen haber geldi. Yapılan açıklamada,

kapalı alanda gerçekleştirilen fiziki fuarların

7 Months Chemical Exports Exceed 10 Billion Dollars

According to the data of Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical

Products Exporters’ Association (IKMIB), exports of the

chemical industry decreased by 8.5 percent in July 2020

compared to the same period last year, and this year increased

by 11 percent compared to June this year and reached 1 billion

586 million dollars. The 7-month export of the sector reached

10.15 billion dollars. Iraq, USA and Germany became the top

three countries with the highest chemical exports.

Evaluating the chemical industry export figures in July, Adil

Pelister, Chairman of the Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical

Products Exporters’ Association (IKMIB), said, “The export

of our chemical industry in July was approximately 1.6 billion

dollars. There was an 11 percent increase compared to June.

The seven-month exports of our industry exceeded 10 billion

dollars. We managed to be the second sector in the period of

seven months. In July, the USA stands out as the second country

and among the top 10 countries with the highest increase with

56.30 percent.

İstanbul Kimyevi Maddeler ve Mamulleri İhracatçıları

Birliği (İKMİB) verilerine göre, kimya sektörü ihracatı 2020

yılı Temmuz ayında geçen sene aynı döneme göre yüzde 8,5

gerilerken, bu yıl Haziran ayına göre yüzde 11 artarak 1

milyar 586 milyon dolar olarak gerçekleşti. Sektörün 7 aylık

ihracatı ise 10,15 milyar dolara ulaştı. Irak, ABD ve Almanya

en çok kimya ihracatı yapılan ilk üç ülke oldu.

Temmuz ayı kimya sektörü ihracat rakamlarını değerlendiren

İstanbul Kimyevi Maddeler ve Mamulleri İhracatçıları Birliği

(İKMİB) Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Adil Pelister, “Kimya

sektörümüzün Temmuz ayında gerçekleştirdiği ihracat yaklaşık

1,6 milyar dolar oldu. Haziran ayına göre de yüzde 11 artış

gerçekleştirildi. Sektörümüzün yedi aylık ihracatı ise 10 milyar

doları aştı. Yedi aylık dönemde de ikinci sektör olmayı başardık.

Temmuz ayında ABD, hem ikinci ülke olarak hem de ilk 10

ülke içinde yüzde 56,30 ile en çok artış sağlayan ülke olarak

öne çıkıyor. Özellikle Latin Amerika bölgesinde sektörümüze

yönelik fırsatlar var. İKMİB olarak düzenlediğimiz ticaret

heyetleri ile bu fırsatlardan yararlanmaları için ihracatçılarımızı

satın almacılarla buluşturuyoruz. Gelecek için ülkemize ve

sektörümüze yönelik umudumuz ve beklentimiz pozitif.

Ekonomik göstergeler de bu umudumuzu artırıyor. Bizler

de üzerimize düşen sorumluluğun bilinciyle var gücümüzle

çalışmaya devam ediyoruz. Sektörümüzün pandemi sonrasında

oluşacak talebi karşılamak adına hazır olması gerekiyor.

There are opportunities for our industry, especially in the Latin

America region. As İKMİB, we bring our exporters together

with buyers to take advantage of these opportunities with the

trade delegations we organize. Our hope and expectation for our

country and our industry for the future is positive. Economic

indicators also increase this hope. We continue to work with

all our strength with the awareness of our responsibility. Our

industry needs to be ready to meet the demand that will occur

after the pandemic. Therefore, we should prioritize high valueadded

product investments in line with digital transformation

principles. We expect our government to provide incentives and

support for investments to be made in our chemical industry.”

katma değerli ürün yatırımlarına öncelik vermeliyiz.

Most exported country in July was Iraq

Iraq was the top export country in July. The other countries

in the top ten, following Iraq in July, were the USA, Germany,

Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Israel, Romania

and Iran. Chemical exports to Iraq amounted to 97 million

192 thousand dollars in July 2020. Mostly, “plastics and their

products”, “essential oils, cosmetics and soap”, “pharmaceutical

products”, “washing preparations”, “paints, varnishes, ink and

preparations”, “various chemicals”, “minerals” were sent to Iraq

in July. fuels, mineral oils and products, “fertilizers”, “adhesives,

glues, enzymes” and “inorganic chemicals” were exported.

The countries with the most chemical exports in the sevenmonth

period January-July 2020 were the Netherlands,

Germany, Iraq, Italy, USA, UK, Spain, Israel, Romania and

Belgium, respectively.

Most “plastics and products” exported in July

Exports of plastics and products in the chemical substances

and products product groups in July ranked first in chemical

exports with 588 million 783 thousand 979 dollars. Mineral

fuels, mineral oils and products ranked second with exports of

196 million 179 thousand 519 dollars, while exports of essential

oils, cosmetics and soap ranked third with 138 million 214

thousand 524 dollars. Following essential oils, cosmetics and

soap, other sectors in the top ten are; “Inorganic chemicals”,

“pharmaceutical products”, “rubber, rubber goods”, “various

chemical substances”, “dyes, varnishes, ink and preparations”,

“washing preparations” and “organic chemicals”.

Irak, Temmuz ayında en çok ihracat yapılan ülke oldu.

Temmuz ayında Irak’ı takip eden ilk onda yer alan diğer ülkeler

ise ABD, Almanya, İngiltere, Hollanda, Belçika, İtalya, İsrail,

Romanya ve İran oldu. Irak’a yapılan kimya ihracatı 2020 yılı

Temmuz ayında 97 milyon 192 bin dolar olarak gerçekleşti.

Temmuz ayında Irak’a en çok “plastikler ve mamulleri”, “uçucu

yağlar, kozmetikler ve sabun”, “eczacılık ürünleri”, “yıkama

müstahzarları”, “boya, vernik, mürekkep ve müstahzarları”,

“muhtelif kimyasal maddeler”, “mineral yakıtlar, mineral yağlar

ve ürünler”, “gübreler”, “yapıştırıcılar, tutkallar, enzimler” ve

“anorganik kimyasallar” ihraç edildi.

2020 yılı Ocak-Temmuz olarak yedi aylık dönemde en çok

kimya ihracatı yapılan ülkeler ise sırasıyla Hollanda, Almanya,

Irak, İtalya, ABD, İngiltere, İspanya, İsrail, Romanya ve Belçika

olarak ilk onda yer aldı.

gerçekleştirildi

Temmuz ayında kimyevi maddeler ve mamulleri ürün

gruplarında plastikler ve mamulleri ihracatı, 588 milyon 783 bin

979 dolarla kimya ihracatında ilk sırada yer aldı. İkinci sırada

196 milyon 179 bin 519 dolarlık ihracatla mineral yakıtlar,

mineral yağlar ve ürünler yer alırken, uçucu yağlar, kozmetikler

ve sabun ihracatı 138 milyon 214 bin 524 dolarla üçüncü

sırada yer aldı. Uçucu yağlar, kozmetikler ve sabunu takiben

ilk onda yer alan diğer sektörler ise; ‘anorganik kimyasallar’,

‘eczacılık ürünleri’, ‘kauçuk, kauçuk eşya’, ‘muhtelif kimyasal

maddeler’, ‘boya, vernik, mürekkep ve müstahzarları’, ‘yıkama

müstahzarları’ ve ‘organik kimyasallar’ oldu.

Allergan Medical Aesthetics conducted an extensive survey

on the potential changes in consumer behavior regarding

medical aesthetics and personal care treatments after the

Covid-19 pandemic. The survey conducted with more than

one thousand respondents in Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara

assessed how the medical aesthetics and personal care

behaviors of women evolved during the pandemic. The survey

results revealed that close to 40 percent of the respondents,

who did not favor medical aesthetics prior to Covid-19 are

now considering a treatment after the pandemic is over.

With the coronavirus remaining the number one topic on

the global agenda, consumers that stayed at home have been

forced to postpone their personal care treatments and medical

aesthetics procedures. But now, as clinics reopen, beauty and

care topics are back on the agenda while there are changes in

how women are approaching medical aesthetics. conducted an

extensive consumer survey in Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara with

over one thousand women to assess these changes. The survey

results revealed that almost all women are inclined to have a

personal care treatment, which they previously did not favor,

after the pandemic is over. Nearly 60 percent of the respondents

stated that they were considering hair care, with 40 percent

thinking about medical aesthetic treatments, and 20 percent

about permanent makeup along with normalization. According

to the survey, 15 percent of the respondents are considering

depilatory treatments while 13 percent intend to try a slimming

treatment, both for the first time.

7 out of every 10 people say they will resume personal care

treatments within 10 months

According to the survey results, over 70 percent of the

respondents are considering a personal care treatment once the

pandemic is over.

Allergan Medikal Estetik, Covid-19 sonrasında medikal

uygulama yaptırmayı düşünüyor.

Koronavirüs gündemi tüm dünyanın öncelikli konu

başlıklarından biri haline geldi. Bu süreçte evde kalan tüketiciler

kişisel bakım ve medikal estetik uygulamalarından da uzak

kaldı. Kliniklerin yavaş yavaş açılmaya başlamasıyla güzellik

uygulamalarının yine gündeme geldiği bugünlerde, kadınların

medikal estetik davranışlarında da değişimler yaşanıyor.

Allergan Medikal Estetik bu değişimleri değerlendirmek üzere

İstanbul, İzmir ve Ankara’da binin üzerinde kadınla kapsamlı

bir tüketici araştırması gerçekleştirdi. Araştırma sonuçlarına

göre; kadınların neredeyse tamamı daha önce yaptırmaya sıcak

bakmadığı bir kişisel bakım uygulamasını pandemi sonrası

yaptırmaya eğilimli. Katılımcıların yüzde 60’a yakını daha önce

yaptırmadıkları saç bakımı uygulamalarını, yüzde 40’a yakını

medikal estetik uygulamalarını, yüzde 20’si ise kalıcı makyaj

uygulamasını normalleşmeyle birlikte yaptırmayı düşünüyor.

İlk defa epilasyon yaptırmayı düşünenlerin oranı yüzde 15 iken,

ilk defa zayıflama uygulaması yaptırmak isteyenlerin oranı ise

yüzde 13.

Her 10 kişiden 7’si 6 ay içinde kişisel bakım uygulamalarına

geri döneceğini belirtiyor

Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, katılımcıların yüzde 70’ten fazlası

salgın sonrası kişisel bakım yaptırmayı düşünüyor. Zamanlama

olarak, 1 hafta ile 6 ay arasında işlem yaptırmayı düşünenlerin

oranı yüzde 60’a yakın. 6 ay ile 1 yıl arasında beklemeyi

düşünenler yüzde 33’lük bir oranı oluştururken, 1 yıldan daha

fazla bekleme kararı alanların oranı ise yüzde 9. Katılımcıların

yüzde 72’si salgın sonrası kişisel bakım için harcama yapmayı

düşündüğünü belirtirken, yüzde 13’ü harcama yapmayacağını,

yüzde 15’i ise kararsız olduğunu ifade ediyor.

Covid-19 sonrasında önceliklendirilen bakım işlemleri ise saç,

Katılımcıların yüzde 72’si salgın sonrası kişisel bakıma

para harcamaya sıcak baktıklarını belirtirken harcama

limitleri uygulamaya göre değişiklik gösteriyor. Sonuçlar

değerlendirildiğinde; en çok harcama beklenen alanlar medikal

estetik uygulamaları, zayıflama ve cilt bakımı.

Klinik hijyeni önemli bir tercih kriteri

Covid-19 sonrası tüketicilerin tercih edeceği kliniklerinden

beklentileri de değişti. Tüketicilerin yüzde 70’inden fazlası

klinik tercihinde alınan hijyen önlemlerini birinci kriter olarak

belirliyor. Katılımcıların yüzde 25’e yakını indirim imkanlarını,

yüzde 12’si ise bekleme süresinin az olmasını dikkate alıyor.

online ortamda yaptırmaya sıcak bakıyor.

the top criterion. Nearly 25 percent of the respondents indicate

that they also take into account offers and discounts while 12

percent consider short waiting periods as an important factor.

of the pandemic

According to the survey results, consumers refer to their

physicians for guidance about the risks of the pandemic. 57

percent of the respondents rely on the opinion of their physicians

on whether the beauty and care procedures pose a risk for the

virus or not. The respondents also regard conducting an online

interview for a preliminary assessment during this period as an

important criterion. The survey results indicate that 45 percent

of the respondents favor an online interview without having to

go to the clinic.

Stress is the main actor of skin diseases

Frequent washing of hands with soap to protect against viruses,

Cilt hastalıklarının baş aktörü stres

Virüsten korunmak için ellerin sabunla sık sık yıkanması,

dezenfektan ve kolonya gibi alkollü ürünlerin yoğun

kullanımı, cildin doğal yapısını bozarak çeşitli sorunlara neden

olmaktadır. Tüm dünyayı saran bu hastalığın oluşturduğu

panik ve endişe ile stresin tetiklediği çeşitli deri hastalıklarında

bu süreçte artış görülmektedir. Deri, tüm yaşam boyunca gün

boyu çok farklı streslere maruz kalan en geniş organdır. Cilt

hastalıklarının önemli bir kısmı psikolojik faktörlerle ilişkilidir.

Terör, korku, aile içi sıkıntılar, ekonomik sorunlar ya da içinde

bulunduğumuz koronavirüs salgını gibi durumlara bağlı ortaya

çıkan aşırı kaygı ve stres; kaşıntı, terleme, yüzde kızarma ve

yanma gibi geçici problemlere yol açabilmektedir. Bunların

yanında prurigo nodularis, atopik dermatit, psoriasis, seboreik

egzama, dishidrotik egzama, kronik ürtiker, akne vulgaris,

as prurigo nodularis, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, seborrheic

eczema, dyshidrotic eczema, chronic urticaria, acne vulgaris,

lichen planus, recurrent herpes simplex, alopecia areata and

telogen effluvium. Intense stress causes changes in the immune

functions of the skin and triggers various reactions. Stress and

other mental problems can affect different organs, especially the

skin.

There may also be an increase in acne

During this period, an increase in acne can be seen due to

changes in diet and the use of masks. These factors can cause

acne formation in many parts of the body, especially in the face,

by activating the sebaceous glands on the skin more. In order

to prevent acne formation, it is important to pay attention to

daily hygiene and to wash the face 1-2 times a day with special

cleansing gels for acne skins. Moisture and airless environment

that occurs while wearing the mask also increases the oily skin

on the skin. If the mask is worn for long periods, it should be

changed frequently. Another important issue is diet. You should

drink plenty of water and eat low in carbohydrates. Chocolate,

milk and dairy consumption should be restricted. Products

üzere vücudun pek çok yerinde akne oluşmasına neden olabilir.

Akne oluşumunu önlemek amacıyla günlük hijyene dikkat

edilmesi, akneli ciltlere özel temizleme jelleriyle yüzün günde

1-2 kez yıkanması önemlidir. Maske takılırken oluşan nem

ve havasız ortam da ciltte yağlanmayı artırmaktadır. Uzun

süreler maske takılıyorsa, sık sık değiştirilmelidir. Bir diğer

önemli konu diyettir. Bol bol su içilmeli ve karbonhidrattan

kepeklenme, kabuklanma, su dolu kabarcıklar ve sulantı ile

ortaya çıkmaktadır. El egzaması en sık; su, kuru hava, sabun,

deterjan, dezenfektan, kolonya gibi kimyasal maddeler, lastik

eldivenler, kişisel bakım ürünleri ile aşırı temas sonrasında

deride tahriş nedeniyle gelişmektedir. Ayrıca birçok sağlık

çalışanı ve diğer bazı meslek gruplarında uzun süreli lateks

eldiven kullanımına bağlı lateks alerjisi gelişebilmektedir.

Dolayısıyla bu kişiler lateks içermeyen eldivenler kullanmalıdır.

El temizliğinde ise özellikle renksiz, kokusuz kalıp sabunlar ve

kolonyayla temizledikten sonra el kremi kullanılmalıdır.

become the production base of high-tech new generation

adhesives to be produced locally and nationally for the first

time in the Turkish chemical industry with an investment

value of 315 million TL, will provide employment for 500

people by operating with an annual production capacity of

150 thousand tons.

BETA Chemical Co. one of Turkey’s oldest chemical

million dollars will be prevented. After domestic needs are met,

Kimya GEBKİM Kampüsü’müz ile Türk kimya sektörü açısından

büyük önem taşıyan, dijital dönüşüm ilkelerine tamamen

uyumlu modern bir entegre üretim tesisi projesine imza

atıyoruz. BETA Kimya olarak, 34 yıldır Ar-Ge ve inovasyondan

güç aldık ve kendimizi yüksek teknolojili ürünler geliştirmeye

adadık. Yeni entegre tesisimizde Ar-Ge için önemli bir yatırım

hamlesine de imza atıyoruz. Ar-Ge Merkezi Belgesine sahip,

tamamı Türk mühendislerden oluşan inovasyon üssümüzü,
