Plastk endüstrs genç yetenekler cezbetmekte büyük sorunlarla 

karşı karşıya kalırken, okulu bırakan gençlern de 

plastk endüstrsnde sunulan çeştl karyer fırsatlarından 

habersz olmaları, bu sektöre lg duymalarını zorlaştırıyor. 

Gelecekte yeterl sayıda genç yeteneğ şe alablmek amacıyla 

GKV – Gesamtverband Kunststoffverarbetende Industre 

(Plastk İşleme Endüstrs Genel Derneğ) tarafından 

Plastk Eğtm Grşm olan ‘Ka’nn 2010 yılında başlatılması, 

gençler çn fırsat yaratarak, öğrenclere plastk endüstrs 

le lgl gelecek vaat edyor. Plastk Eğtm Grşm dernekler, 

kuruluşlar ve eğtm kurumları tarafından da desteklenyor. 

Sergler ve moderatörlü panel tartışmalarından deneylere 

kadar çeştl etknlklerle gençlern K 2022 Fuarında hedefl 

br şeklde bu sektörü tanımaları sağlanıyor.

While the plastics industry faces major problems 

in attracting young talent, the fact that young 

people who drop out of school are unaware of the various 

career opportunities offered in the plastics industry makes 

it difficult for them to become interested in this industry. 

The launch in 2010 of the Plastics Education Initiative ‘Kai’ 

by the GKV – Gesamtverband Kunststoffverarbeitende 

Industrie (General Association of the Plastics Processing 

Industry) in order to recruit sufficient young talents in the 

future, creates opportunities for young people and promises 

students a future in the plastics industry. Plastic Education 

Initiative is also supported by associations, organizations 

and educational institutions. With various activities 

ranging from exhibitions and moderated panel discussions 

to experiments, the young people are introduced to this 

sector in a targeted manner at the K 2022 Fair.

Young, creative, flexible, future-oriented Start-Ups stand 

out with their innovative and problem-solving approaches. 

K 2022 offers a special exhibition space for young companies 

specializing in developing innovative products and 

solutions together with the plastics and rubber industry.

Exhibition Center, K 2022, young companies have

The 31st Plast Eurasia İstanbul Fair will be organized 

by Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization 

Inc., the pioneering and leading exhibition sector in 

cooperation with PAGEV (Turkish Plastics Foundations) 

the unifying force in the plastics sector. The fair is almost 

ready to bring together the professionals of the sector 

on 23-26 November 2022. 

A New Machinery and New Raw Material Hall Was 

Opened Meeting the Large Turnout from the Sector. 

New halls were added to the existing halls upon the 

intense participation demand from the sector companies. 

Hall 9A for the raw material section and Hall 11 for 

the machinery section were opened to exhibitors and 

visitors. 95% of the sales of stands at the halls were 

already completed. Machinery companies are waiting 

for their visitors in halls 2-3-4-10-11-12-14, and raw 

material companies are waiting for their visitors in halls

ERKUR MAKİNE, MAKİNE İHRACATINI 

HIZLA ARTIRAN 5 FİRMA ARASINDA... 

AMONG 5 COMPANIES THAT INCREASED THE EXPORT OF MACHINERY RAPIDLY ERKUR MAKINE... 

Makne sektöründe serbest bölgeler harç 2021 yılında 

toplam hracat 2020 yılına göre %24 artarak 21.4 mlyar 

dolar olarak gerçekleşt. İthalat se %21 artarak 33 mlyar 

dolar sevyesne geld. 2022 yılının lk yarısında se makne 

hracatı geçen yılın aynı dönemne göre %7.9 oranında 

artarak 12,5 mlyar dolar oldu. Türkye’nn Avrupa’ya mal 

satmak steyenler çn stratejk br önemnn bulunması ve 

makne sektörünün yükselen performansı bütün krzler 

lehne çevrme yeteneğne sahp olduğunu gösterd. 

Makne İhracatçıları Brlğ 2021 yılında hracatta en yüksek 

performans gösteren frmaları açıkladı. Türkye’nn en 

çok hracatını yapan sektör olarak ambalaj sektöründe 

2021 yılının hracat yıldızları bell oldu. Türkye’nn Maknecler 

her yıl düzenlenen “Ambalaj Makneler İhracatı 

Yıldızları Ödül Tören”, 2021 yılında Türkye’nn gerçekleştrdğ 

hracatta en çok paya sahp olan frmalar arasında 

ERKUR Makne, 5 frma arasında yern aldı. Bu başarıyı 

yakalayan ERKUR, ülkemz ekonomsne değer kattı. 

Makne sektörü bölgede artan faalyetleryle, sanay ve 

teknolojk ş brlklernden aldığı payı arttırma eğlmn 

sürdürürken, ERKUR Makne, 1999 yılından bu yana 

dünya çapında Termoform makneler malatı yaparak, 

Rusya’dan İngltere’ye, Yen Zelanda’dan ABD’ye tüm

Total exports in the machinery sector, excluding 

free zones, increased by 24% in 2021 compared 

to 2020 and amounted to 21.4 billion dollars. Imports, on 

the other hand, increased by 21% to reach 33 billion dollars. 

In the first half of 2022, machinery exports increased

the questions we asked and gave detailed information 

about the organizational structure and works of ERBAY. 

Could you give some information about the organizational 

structure of ERBAY? 

Our company was established in 1987 by Bayram Kömürcü and 

the late Erol Gökdemir. Since the beginning of the 2000s, studies 

for the establishment of the corporate structure have started and 

the company has turned its direction to foreign markets. Over the 

years, the company management has accelerated its efforts to 

simplify management and production with the philosophy of Lean 

Management, Lean Production, by adopting a policy of continuous 

development in order to preserve its dynamic structure. 

Your company continues to work in the sector with a customeroriented 

and quality service approach. Could you share with 

our readers your product variety that you offer to the sector? 

We have 4 main product groups as Water Chillers, Water Cooling 

Towers, Air Conditioners and Shell&Tube Heat Exchangers. Since 

many of our customers are industrial organizations, that is, industrial 

companies operating with a focus on process, our designs 

are designed to be durable enough to work 24 hours a day, 7 

days a week. 

We can manufacture Water Chillers, our prominent product group 

for the Plastics and Packaging Industry, in the cooling capacity 

range of 1.26 kW to 2.418 kW as standard. Each manufactured device 

is shipped to our customers after the quality and performance 

tests are completed at our test stand, where working conditions 

are simulated. In addition to our standard products, we can design 

and produce special products for customer needs with our custom 

production capability.

In which regions of the world do you market your products? Can you tell us 

about the countries and markets you export to? 

In 2021, we made 55% of our sales abroad. Our sales target in the coming years has been 

determined as 70% international - 30% domestic market. Every year, we focus on marketing 

activities in approximately 3 or 4 different countries and carry out sales activities in the market 

with companies that meet the criteria we have determined. In addition to this, we also do 

project-based works with different foreign demands reaching our company. 

One of the main reasons why you are preferred is that you are a ‘Energy Saving and 

Business Friendly’ company. What can you say about the savings and studies within the 

scope of energy efficiency? 

Energy costs are increasing day by day and companies are looking for ways to reduce their 

energy costs. We have a product developed for this need, providing up to 60% energy savings 

compared to standard water chillers. 

This device, which we call Free Cooling Integrated Cold Water Generator Group; It is a smart 

device that can detect which modules will be active and how the active modules will act, depending 

on the outside air temperature and the desired water outlet temperature, with the 

integration of the mechanical (compressor) cooling module and the free cooling (free cooling) 

module and the microprocessor control system with its special software. 

As ERBAY, what kind of advice do you give to your customers when choosing products? 

What would you suggest they watch out for? 

We, as ERBAY, are a company with a strong engineering infrastructure. Our experience and 

knowledge; It is reflected in every stage of the processes such as the design, projecting and 

production of the products we produce. Recently, unfortunately, companies have been making 

price-oriented purchases rather than technical features. 

After the price-oriented purchase, there may be many negativities such as insufficient capacity, 

high energy cost, technical service shortage.

soğutucu akışkanlarını kullanmaktayız. Özellkle Avrupa Brlğne üye 

ülkeler düşük GWP oranına sahp soğutucu akışkanlar le çalışan 

su soğutma grupları talep etmekte, bu nedenden dolayı yen nesl 

soğutucu akışkanları yakından takp etmekte ve çalışmalar yürütmekteyz. 

Mevcut pozsyonunuzu korumaya çalışırsanız oyun dışında 

kalırsınız. Sürekl gelşm çnde olmalısınız. Bu nedenle standart ürün 

gruplarımız çn Ür-Ge faalyetlermz kesntsz olarak devam etmekte.

Sektörünüzde en çok ne tür problemlerle karşı karşıya kalıyorsunuz?

How do you ensure the continuity of your products in order to 

meet the expectations of your customers and the strategic goals 

of the enterprises at an economical level? Can you talk about your 

quality control processes? 

As ERBAY, our quality department is authorized to stop production. The 

process does not continue until the malfunction or error is resolved, 

and any device that has not been approved by the quality department 

is not shipped. We have a very rigorous managed testing procedure. 

Each device whose production is completed is subjected to performance 

test and then to quality test at our test stand. Our customers 

can also accompany these tests if they wish. 

On the other hand, as an engineering company that has gained 

experience in the sector for many years, what are your evaluations 

on the improvements and innovations of the product groups? 

We currently use R134A, R410A, R404A and R407C refrigerants in 

our standard products. Particularly, European Union member countries 

demand water chillers working with refrigerants with low GWP ratio, 

so we follow new generation refrigerants closely and carry out studies. 

If you try to maintain your current position, you will be out of the 

game. You must be in constant development. For this reason, our P&D 

activities for our standard product groups continue uninterruptedly. 

By closely following the developing technology, with the analysis of 

the feedback we get from the field, continuous improvement works on 

our product groups are carried out by the expert engineering team. 

What kind of problems do you face the most in your industry? 

As in other sectors, we are also experiencing a shortage of qualified personnel. 

Why do you think this situation arises? 

This topic is a little deep. Family + education system + generation gap 

It is equally important that vocational high schools are preferred by 

students, as well as being preferred by people who are suitable for the 

profession. Today, unfortunately, it is questionable what percentage 

of the students who graduated from vocational high schools work in 

the department they graduated from.

potansyel müşterlern üye frmalarımızla buluşmasına yönelk brçok alanda çalışma yapmaktayız. 

Amacımız Türkye’y sektörümüzde üretm üssü halne getrmektr.

Gelecek dönemlerde ERBAY Akadem’y hayata geçrmek planlarımız arasında yer almaktadır. 

Bu projey sadece ERBAY bünyes çn değl, sektöre açık br akadem olarak ele almak styoruz.

Akadem’nn başlangıç noktası olarak kurgulamak styoruz. Sektörün sadece gelşm değl, br

themselves quickly according to the expectations of the current period. 

How do you evaluate the sector you are in, nationally and internationally? What would you say 

about the development of the cooling sector in Turkey and in the world? 

Air Conditioning Industry Exporters’ Association export figure for the period of January 2022 to June 

is 3,363,880,779 USD. Compared to the same period of the previous year, the rate of increase is 

10.3%. Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and France are the leading countries for export. Under 

the roof of our industry exporters union ISIB and our industry association ISKID, we are working in 

many areas to increase the awareness of our industry abroad, training programs that will enable the 

development of our member companies, overseas organizations, and meeting potential customers 

with our member companies. Our aim is to make Turkey a production base in our industry. 

What do you want to say as last words? 

It is among our plans to implement ERBAY Academy in the future. We want to consider this 

project not only for ERBAY, but also as an academy open to the sector. We want to set up our 

test stand, where we perform quality and performance tests and run our devices, as the starting 

point of ERBAY Academy. We think that the sector should not only develop, but act as a 

whole and improve and develop the whole.

With our main fairs held in Cologne and Düsseldorf, Germany, 

which are the most significant events of the sector they belong 

to globally, we continue our efforts to closely introduce our satellite 

fairs, which are held in various countries around the world such as 

Thailand, China, India, Singapore, Brazil, Colombia, and America, 

to Turkish companies. We can include sending out press releases 

through email and direct mail, opening stands in local fairs, holding 

press conferences, and more on this list of our operations. Additionally, 

we offer consulting services to businesses that get in touch with 

us to participate as visitors or exhibitors. 

Especially for which sectors do you organize fair organizations? 

Accordingly, which sectors have the highest chance in the market? 

Our program consists of about 150 international fairs that we categorize 

as annual, bi-annual, three-year, and four-year based on how 

frequently they are organized. This program includes the fairs we 

represent. Our fairs appeal to many and various sectors: Machinery, 

plant and equipment (packaging, printing, plastic, wire, cable, valve 

pump, metallurgy, food technology, mining, metal etc.), trade, retail and 

services, medicine and health, occupational safety and health, fashion 

and lifestyle, leisure time, food, home, office and garden, technology, IT 

and digital entertainment, furniture and furniture sub-industry… Every 

two years, in collaboration with our partner Messe Düsseldorf, we 

have been hosting the TOS+H Expo, the only international specialist 

show for the occupational safety and health industry in Turkey, since 

2014. The industries that garner the most interest at both the national

details about the businesses you represent and the future fairs? 

After 75 years, Messe Düsseldorf, founded in 1947 and one of the German 

trade fair companies with the biggest turnover, is among the top 

five fair organizers globally. The Düsseldorf Fairground, with a total 

area of 305.727 m 2 , hosts 40 international trade shows, 23 of which 

are the top trade shows in the world in their respective industries.

Koelnmesse tüketm malı fuarları düzenlemektedr. Bu durumda, 

Köln’de genellkle fuarlar her yıl ya da k yılda br tekrar ederken, 

Düsseldorf’ta k, üç ve dört yılda br düzenlenen fuarlar çoğunluktadır. 

Koelnmesse organizes consumer goods fairs, whereas Messe 

Düsseldorf mostly arranges investment goods exhibitions. In 

this instance, Cologne often has annual or biennial fairs, while Düsseldorf 

mostly hosts fairs every two, three, or four years. 

Fuar organzasyonunda, sektörün potansyel ve bölgesel gücü 

temel belrleycler açısından oldukça öneml. Bu doğrultuda yurt

ayında Düsseldorf’ta düzenlenen wre + Tube – Tel, Kablo ve Boru 

fuarlarında Türkye, Almanya ve İtalya’nın ardından üçüncü büyük

Tcaret Bakanlığı’nın yurt dışı fuarlara katılan frmalara verdğ teşvklern

Uluslararası fuarların hem katılımcılarına hem de zyaretçlerne çok 

öneml katkıları bulunuyor. Frmalar br yandan at oldukları sektörler 

dünya çapında tanıma mkânı kazanarak blglern artırıyor, 

vzyonlarını genşletyor, dğer yandan se kend ürünlernn pazara 

hazır olup olmadığını ve varsa eksklklern tespt edyor. Her uluslararası

Regarding the key variables that affect how the fair is organized, 

the sector's potential and regional power are particularly significant. 

What is the participation rate of Turkish companies in international 

fairs in this direction? How do you evaluate this situation? 

The nations that participate in international fairs with a sizable number 

of companies and large square meters are the ones that are heard 

internationally in the relevant industry. Turkish companies, which appeared 

sporadically at international trade shows 25–30 years ago, 

have advanced significantly in this area. Turkey surpassed Germany 

and Italy as the third-largest participant nation at the wire + Tube 

- Wire, Cable and Pipe trade fairs in Düsseldorf last June. Unquestionably, 

the ministry of commerce's incentives for companies to 

participate in international trade fairs played a role in this success. 

Companies participating in international fairs held in Germany receive 

additional incentives because Germany is on the list of target countries 

for 2022 and 2023. By the second half of 2021, especially after the 

problematic quarantine period brought on by the epidemic, interest in 

our fairs has surged and reached an all-time high. The second half of 

the year's fairs were entirely full, and lengthy waiting lists formed. 

What are your suggestions and recommendations to companies 

and visitors who will participate in international fairs? 

Both participants and visitors benefit greatly from international fairs. 

Companies learn more about the industries they work in and broaden 

their perspectives as a result, but they also assess whether their 

products are ready for the market and whether there are any flaws. 

In this sense, every international exhibition broadens the horizons of 

both participants and guests. The criteria that determine the fair's 

international nature, such as the duration of the fair, the number 

of exhibitors and attendees by year, any changes in these figures, 

the proportion of foreign exhibitors to overall attendees, and the 

fair's square-meters should all be taken into account when deciding 

which fair the company will attend. We advise the company to go to 

the fair it plans to attend in advance at the decision-making stage.

particularly interested in Food, Packaging and Packaging 

fairs. Within this context, what would you say about the overseas 

packaging industry? 

Messe Düsseldorf hosts the International Packaging Machinery, 

Packaging Materials and Confiscation Machinery Specialization Fair 

interpack, the most significant event in the global packaging industry, 

along with the International Packaging Sub-Industry Specialization 

Fair components, every three years at the Düsseldorf Fairground. 

interpack and components fairs, which could not be held in 2020, 

which is the normal cycle due to the pandemic, will be held between 

May 4 and 10 next year. The fair is already full. At interpack 2017, 

2,866 exhibitors from 60 countries met with the top German and 

worldwide buyers on a 255,000 m 2 fair ground, improving their order 

volumes and building their brand recognition. 

Food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and technological consumer goods 

manufacturers will have the chance to keep up with industry advances 

by closely monitoring them at this trade show. interpack 2017 attracted 

170.899 specialized visitors from 168 nations. interpack will run concurrently 

with the components for processing and packaging Packaging 

Sub-Industry Specialization Fair in a prominent spot in the fair area. 

Manufacturers have a platform to display their products at the fair thanks 

to the drive, adjustment, and sensor method for packaging machines, 

industrial picture processing technique, management technique, software, 

and communication techniques, and comprehensive automation 

systems. This fair show also features hardware, auxiliary materials for 

packaging goods, and machine parts, components, and hardware. 

Anuga FoodTec, which is held at the Cologne Fairground every three 

years and is organized by Koelnmesse, is a significant fair in our portfolio 

of food technology and packaging. Due to the pandemic, this fair 

may also be held in April 2022 rather than in 2021, its usual cycle. 

1034 exhibitors from 44 countries, 60% of whom were outside of 

Germany, and 25,000 specialized visitors from 120 countries—57% 

of whom were not from Germany—were also present. The upcoming 

Anuga FoodTec will be held from 19 to 22 March 2024.

In highly competitive market economies, fairs are a very powerful 

marketing communication strategy. How does TEZULAŞ Fairs understand

By facilitating contact between consumer and seller, trade has significance 

beyond simply purchasing and selling items. To spread knowledge

production with an annual capacity of 12000 tons by working in 

coordination with our other units. We are doing our part to pay 

our debt to nature by increasing our production capacity with 

our new line that we are currently working on, and we will do so.

the pump used is a gear pump or a piston pump. 

If a gear pump is used with a servo motor, the pump speed cannot be lowered below 300 

rpm. This is because pressure is needed, especially during ironing. Gear pumps experience 

pressure loss at low speeds. In addition, gear pumps need to be cooled with water. 

This means extra cooling energy. Piston pumps, on the other hand, do not experience 

pressure loss at low speeds and the engine speed can be reduced to 1 rpm.

It is crucial to conduct storage tests to ascertain the food’s microbial, chemical, and physical 

stability in order to estimate the shelf life (EXP or BBD), and the results should then be 

assessed by experts with relevant technical knowledge. Computer modelling of microbial growth 

or interrogation tests to determine the survival of a particular pathogen should be carried out for 

some foods. Consumers’ tastes may be impacted by food spoiling responses that arise from oxidation, 

textural changes, moisture gain or loss, staling, loss of scent, enzymatic browning or nonenzymatic 

browning, color loss, or microbiological decay. The manufacturer must first identify the 

direct (raw material quality, product composition, water activity, pH, oxygen presence, and redox 

potential of the product) and indirect (process conditions, clean production circumstances, packaging 

system and material, conditions during storage, distribution, and retail where temperature 

and humidity control are crucial) parameters that affect the food’s safety and/or quality before beginning 

the shelf life study. These characteristics will demonstrate how crucial the product’s formulation, 

manufacturing procedure, packaging, and selling environment are to extending the shelf life.

a water activity value below 0.85 are durable products. (Figure 1) 

The following methods for estimating food shelf life are briefly mentioned; 

1. Determination of literature and reference values: Scientific articles and 

references provided by national food authorities can be used to find a variety of 

reference values for many products produced using comparable formulations. 

2. Analyzing the turnaround times for similar products’ distribution and 

returns and monitoring customer complaints: The period during which the 

product cannot be sold is also referred to as the shelf life, as is clear from 

the definition. In the marketing and sales process, the increase in customer 

complaints and product returns is significant in determining the shelf life and, 

consequently, in shelf life control. 

3. Static (Direct) shelf life tests: Chemical, microbiological, physical, and 

sensory tests are used to monitor quality changes over the course of storing 

food at the designated storage temperature for longer than the anticipated 

shelf life. It is the most used method in the calculation of EXP (Figure 2.)

4. Hızlandırılmış raf ömrü deneyler (Dolaylı yöntem): Uzun raf 

ömrüne sahp gıdaların formülasyonda, proses ya da ambalajdak 

herhang br değşklk en az bu süre kadar raf ömrü test uygulanmasını 

gerektrr. Üretcler çn bu kadar süre hem uygulanablr hem de 

ekonomk değldr. Bu nedenle normal depolama koşullarından daha 

yüksek, kontrollü (sıcaklık/nem/ışık/gaz) ortamında depolanması le 

üründe bozulmalar gözlenr. Daha sonra normal koşullardak raf ömrü 

reaksyon knetğ hesaplamalarıyla [hız sabtler (kT), Aktvasyon 

enerjs (Ea), sıcaklık katsayısı (Q10) gb] belrlenr. TETT’nn belrlenmesnde 

kullanılması gereken br yöntemdr. 

5. Dağıtım zncr çnde uç noktalarda test edlmes ve raf ömrü 

kontrolü: Bu test farklı çevre koşullarının (sıcaklık, nem, basınç ve 

hatta naklye esnasında) etksnn gözlemlenebleceğ değerlendrme 

test olarak düşünülmeldr. 

6. “Kötüye Kullanım/Sorgulama” Test: Bazı ürünler çn belrlenen 

raf ömrü süres çnde br patojen barındırıp barındırmayacağı, uygun 

br patojen noküle edldkten sonra üründe zaman çnde meydana 

gelen değşmler gözlenr. 

Gıdanın STT veya TETT’nn belrlenmes çn gerekl raf ömrü çalışmasına 

başlarken ve sonrasında yapılacaklar aşağıda sırasıyla 

belrtlmştr; 

1. İlk olarak raf ömrü çalışmasının amacının belrlenmes zorunludur. 

Yen br ürün çn yapılacak planlama, ambalaj değşklğ nedenyle 

yapılacak testlerden daha kapsamlı olacağı unutulmamalıdır. 

2. Ürünün nasıl bozulduğu ve olası bozulma reaksyonlarının belrlenmes 

gerekldr. Bu bağlamda bozulmanın ürün kaynaklı olup 

olmadığı veya proses, formülasyon ve ambalajlama le kontrol edleblr 

parametrelern varlığı dkkate alınmalıdır. 

3. Gıdaya at kalte krterlernn belrlenmes; bozulma sonucu hang 

özellklern test edleceğ ve bunlar çn belrlenmş sınırlamaların ve 

lmt değerlern (eşk değerler) ne olduğunun blnmes zorunludur. 

4. Raf ömrü belrlenmesnde ürüne göre duyusal, mkrobyolojk, 

kmyasal, fzksel testler yapılmalıdır. Dolayısıyla, hang analz 

yöntemlernn kullanılacağı (test protokoller) ve bunlar çn gerekl 

laboratuvar alt yapısının ve chazlarının uygunluğu ve analzde 

kullanılacak sarf malzemelernn çalışma süresnce yeterl mktarda 

bulundurulmasına dkkat edlmeldr. 

5. Gerçek depolama koşullarının (sıcaklık, ışık ve nem) smülasyonu 

şeklnde yapılacak raf ömrü çalışması çn laboratuvarda benzer 

koşulların (İdeal, tpk veya en kötü senaryo çn) sağlanablmes 

zorunludur. 

4. Accelerated shelf life tests (Indirect method): A shelf life 

test must be conducted for at least this long before making 

any changes to the composition, manufacturing process, or packaging 

of foods with a long shelf life. This amount of time is both inapplicable 

and unprofitable for manufacturers. Because of this, product degradation 

is observed when it is kept in a controlled environment with 

storage conditions that are higher than usual (temperature, humidity, 

light, and gas). Then, calculations of reaction kinetics [rate constants 

(kT), activation energy (Ea), and temperature coefficient (Q10)] are 

used to determine the shelf life under normal conditions. This method 

should be used in the determination of BBD. 

5. Endpoint testing and shelf-life control within the distribution 

chain: This test should be regarded as an evaluation test where the 

impact of various environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, 

pressure, and even during transportation) can be observed. 

6. “Misuse/Interrogation” Test: To determine whether a product 

will harbor a pathogen within the shelf life period determined for 

some products, changes in the product over time are observed after 

inoculating a suitable pathogen. 

The following, respectively, lists the actions that must be taken before 

and after the shelf life study that is necessary to ascertain the EXP 

or BBD of the food: 

1. It is crucial to establish the goal of the shelf life study first. It should 

not be overlooked that due to changes in packaging, the planning for 

a new product will be more thorough than the tests. 

2. Analyzing the product’s degeneration and potential spoilage reactions 

is necessary. Whether the product is degrading or whether 

there are controllable parameters due to the process, formulation, 

and packaging should be considered within this context. 

3. It is crucial to establish the food’s quality criteria, the properties 

that will be tested for spoilage, and the upper and lower limits (also 

known as threshold values) that have been set for them. 

4. Sensory, microbiological, chemical, and physical tests should be 

carried out in accordance with the product to determine the shelf life. 

The test protocols to be used for analysis, the suitability of the laboratory 

infrastructure and equipment needed for them, and the availability 

of consumables needed for the analysis in sufficient quantities during 

the study should all be taken into consideration. 

5. For a shelf life study to be carried out in the form of a simulation of 

actual storage conditions, it is essential that comparable conditions 

(ideal, typical, or the worst case scenario) can be provided in the 

laboratory (temperature, light and humidity).

6. Raf ömrünün belrlenmes çn ne kadar süre ve hang aralıkta 

analzlern yapılacağının belrlenmes gerekldr. Bu süreçte örnek 

sayısının güvenlr statstk analz çn yeterl olması zorunludur. Genel 

br kural olarak raf ömrü süresnce en az 6 analz noktasında ver elde 

edecek kadar örnekleme yapılmalıdır. Örneğn tahmn 35 gün raf 

ömrü olan br ürün çn, 0, 7, 14, 21, 28 ve 35. günlerde, 1 yıl raf ömrü 

beklenlen br ürün çn kşer aylık dönemlerde örnek almak yeterl 

olacaktır. Bu tür çalışmalarda duyusal testlern de yapılablmes çn 

mutlaka yeterl örnek ayrılması gerekldr. 

7. Raf ömrü çalışmasının ne zaman başlayacağı önemldr. Zamanla 

durdurulamayacak br değşm olduğu düşünüldüğünde planlanan 

süre ve aralıkla testlern br an önce başlatılması gerekldr. 

8. Sonuçların analz lmt değere ve duyusal analz sonuçlarına göre 

belrlenmektedr. Statk raf ömrü testler hemen sonuçlanırken, hızlandırılmış 

raf ömrü testler çn teknk deneym ve yeterllğ olan 

kşlerce her sıcaklık çn karar verlmş raf ömrü sürelernn grafğe 

şlenmes ve sonrasında üretcnn tavsye edeceğ gerçek sıcaklık 

değerler çn br raf ömrü hesaplamasının yapılması gerekldr. 

9. Son olarak, laboratuvarda elde edlen sonuçlar le ürünün gerçek 

raf ömrünün karşılaştırılması zorunluluğu ortaya çıkmaktadır. 

Bu amaçla; satışa sunulduktan sonra farklı zamanlarda parekende 

örneklern toplanıp raf ömrü kontrolünün yapılması gerekldr. Ayrıca 

müşter şkâyetlernn takb frma görevller tarafından dkkate alınmalı 

ve etket üzernde belrtlen TETT tarhne ne ölçüde uyduğu 

kontrol edlmeldr. 

Raf ömrünün belrlenmesnn esas amacı, tüketclern gıdalardan 

güvenl ve blnçl olarak yararlanmasına yardımcı olmaktır. Bu sürenn 

sadece ürün sağlam ve hasar görmemş olarak satın alındığında geçerl 

olduğu kabul edlmeldr. Tüketcler, üretcnn depolama (özellkle 

sıcaklık) ve ürünün açıldıktan sonrak kullanımı le lgl talmatlarına 

dama uymalı ve tüketclern gıda satın alırken, gıda srafını önlemek 

amacıyla raf ömrü blglern dkkate alması önemldr. Tüketclern 

%75’ TETT dolan ürünlern güvenl olmadığını düşünmektedr. STT 

bulunan gıdaların aksne, TETT bulunan brçok gıda, bu tarhten sonra 

da güvenl olarak tüketleblr. Raf ömrünün blnmes gıda atığı ve 

kaybını azaltmak açısından önemldr. Tüketclern ambalaj üzerndek

azaltacaktır. Ayrıca üretm yöntem, sıcaklık, süre, ambalaj malzemes 

ve ambalajlama yöntem, üretm hjyen gb raf ömrünü etkleyen faktörler 

aynı zamanda kayıpların azaltılmasında da etkl olacaktır. 

6. The length of time and frequency of the analyses must be determined 

in order to calculate the shelf life. It is crucial in this process that 

there are enough samples for a trustworthy statistical analysis. As a 

general rule, sufficient sampling ought to be performed to collect data 

at a minimum of six analysis points throughout the shelf life. It will be 

sufficient to collect samples at intervals of 0, 7, 14, 21, 28 and 35 days 

for a product with an estimated shelf life of 35 days, for instance, and 

at intervals of two months for a product with an estimated shelf life 

of one year. It is crucial to separate enough samples in these studies 

to allow for the execution of sensory tests. 

7. Shelf life study start date is crucial. The tests must begin as soon 

as possible with the scheduled time and interval if it is believed that 

the change cannot be stopped over time. 

8. According to the limit value and the findings of the sensory analysis, 

the results analysis is decided. While static shelf life tests are concluded 

immediately, for accelerated shelf life tests it is necessary to plot the 

shelf life times decided for each temperature by people with technical 

experience and qualifications, and then perform a shelf life calculation 

for the actual temperature values that the manufacturer will advise. 

9. Finally, it is necessary to compare the laboratory results with the 

actual product shelf life. In order to achieve this, it is necessary to 

collect samples from the retail market at various points after the 

products have been released onto the market and to manage the 

shelf life. Officials from the company should also take into account 

the customer complaints that were followed up on and determine 

whether or not the BBD on the label is being complied with. 

The main goal of shelf life determination is to assist consumers in enjoying 

food in a conscious and safe manner. It should be acknowledged 

that this time frame is only valid if the product was purchased intact and 

undamaged. To prevent food waste, consumers should always follow 

the manufacturer’s instructions for handling after opening and storage 

(especially temperature). It’s also crucial for consumers to take shelf life 

information into account when making food purchases. 75% of consumers 

believe that products that pass their BBD are unsafe. Many BBD-included 

foods, in contrast to EXP-included foods, can be consumed safely after 

this date. To prevent food loss and waste, it is crucial to know the shelf 

life. Food losses and consequent economic losses can be reduced by 

consumers’ reading habits of the information on the packaging and their 

understanding of terms like EXP and BBD. Additional factors that affect 

shelf life include production method, temperature, time, packaging material 

and method, and production hygiene, all of which can help reduce losses.

to the plate, is more convenient, safer and does not require adjustment in mold change. 

The injection unit is designed as a monolithic casting, minimizing the hydraulic oil return distance and 

time. For high repeatability and stable working conditions, the injection unit is equipped with linear 

guides. With its electronic pressure control system, it supports working with max injection precision.

Günümüz teknolojsnn hızla lerlemes, artan nüfus, sanayleşme çabaları ve blnçsz plastk 

tüketm ve bertaraf uygulamalarındak artış gb brçok neden dünyayı ve çevrey olumsuz etklemektedr. 

Plastklern genel petrol kökenl olup, blnen durumda doğada parçalanması uzun yıllar 

almaktadır. Plastk atıklarının doğada uzun süre yok olmamasından ötürü, artan üretm ve kullanımla 

doğru orantılı olarak plastk atıkları havada, suda ve toprakta brkerek çevre ve nsan sağlığını 

tehdt edecek boyuta gelmştr. Denzlere her yıl 4,8 la 12,7 mlyon ton arasında plastk atıldığı 

blnmektedr. (Akçay ve ark., 2020) Akdenz’dek yüzen atıkların %95 plastklerden oluşmaktadır. 

(Onay ve ark, 2021) Bu nedenle, sektörde faalyet gösteren frmalar ambalajın çevresel etklern 

azaltmak çn çeştl yollar denemektedrler. Bunlardan başlıcaları, ağırlık azaltma ve ger dönüşüme 

uygun ambalaj kullanımıdır. Ağırlık azaltma yöntem senelerdr sektörde kullanılmaktadır. Çevreye 

atılan plastk atıkların yanında, vermsz kaynak tüketmnn yarattığı hammadde ve enerj sarfyatları 

da çevrey olumsuz etkleyerek, küresel ısınma ve klm değşklğ tehdtler oluşturmaktadır.

Currently, many reasons such as the rapid progress of technology, increasing population, 

industrialization and the increase in the rate of unconscious plastic consumption and 

waste management negatively affect the world and the environment. Plastics are mostly 

petroleum based materials and it’s been known that, decomposition takes many years in nature. 

Due to the fact that plastic waste does not disappear in nature for a long time, in direct proportion 

to the increasing production and use rates, plastic waste accumulated in the air, water and soil, 

threatens the environment and human health. It is known that between 4.8 and 12.7 million tons 

of plastic is decharged into marine environment every year. (Akçay et al., 2020) 95% of floating 

waste in the Mediterranean consists of plastics. (Onay et al., 2021) For this reason, the industry 

has been working on various processes to reduce the environmental impact of plastic packaging. 

Mainly, these are weight reduction and the redesign of packaging to fit for recycling. Weight reduction 

method has been used in the industry for many years. In addition to the plastic waste thrown 

into the environment, the raw material and energy shortage caused by resource consumption 

negatively affect the environment, led to global warming and climate change threats consequently.

Bu sebeple, dünyada son yıllarda kaynak kullanımları üzerne yapılan brçok çalışma 

göze çarpmaktadır. Hem kaynakların verml kullanımı hem de çevreye verlen zararların 

azaltılması göz önünde bulundurulduğunda, ger dönüşüme uygun esnek ambalaj 

kullanımının sürdürüleblrlk kapsamında daha verml olduğu görülmüştür ve bu yapıların 

gelştrlmes önem kazanmıştır. Mekank ve kmyasal ger dönüşüm olmak üzere k farklı 

ger dönüşüm yöntem bulunmaktadır. En çok terch edlen ger dönüşüm teknklernden 

br olan mekank ger dönüşüm, termoplastk atıkların toplanıp ayrıştırıldıktan sonra polmer 

tplerne göre ayrılmış ekstrüzyona besleneblecek saflıkta çıktılar elde etmek çn uygulanan 

br prosestr. Ayıklama proses ayırma, yıkama, boyut küçültme ve hava le ayırma gb brçok 

adımı çermektedr. Mekank ger dönüşümün son adımı se ayrılan plastk atıkların plastğn 

ertlmes yoluyla dönüştürülerek granül veya pul şeklnde yenden şekllendrldğ ekstrüzyon 

aşamasıdır. Proses sonunda elde edlen hammaddelern polmer yapısı değşmemş olup gıda 

dışı sektörler çn yenden kullanılablr ntelktedrler. 

Ger dönüşüm çn kullanılan br dğer teknk se kmyasal ger dönüşüm prosesdr. Bu proses, 

beslenen plastk atıktak orjnal monomerler veya değerl kncl hammaddeler elde etmek 

çn polmerk yapının parçalanmasıyla gerçekleşen depolmerzasyon şlemne dayanmaktadır. 

Kmyasal ger dönüşüm; depolmerzasyon, kısm oksdasyon (gazlaştırma) ve prolz gb 

farklı kmyasal prosesler yardımıyla yapılablmektedr. Kmyasal ger dönüşüm teknolojs, temel 

olarak hammadde/ayıklanmış plastk atık akışına ve reaksyon sonunda stenen ürüne göre 

tasarlanablen br prosestr ve halen gelşme aşamasındadır. İk ger dönüşüm proses karşılaştırıldığında, 

yöntem, vermllk ve ekonomk uygulanablrlk açısından en yaygın kullanılan teknk, 

mekank ger dönüşüm teknğdr. Bu sebeple mekank ger dönüşüme uygun olacak şeklde 

esnek ambalaj tasarlanması büyük önem arz etmektedr. Mekank ger dönüşüm tesslernde 

esnek ambalajın dış yüzeyn analz etmek ve polmer türüne göre ayrıştırarak uygun ger dönüşüm 

prosesn uygulamak amacıyla yakın kızıl ötes (NIR ; near nfrared) chazları bulunmaktadır. 

For this reason, there are many studies running on resource efficiency in recent years. 

When considering both the efficient use of resources and the reduction of damage 

to the environment, it has been seen that the use of flexible packaging suitable for recycling is 

more efficient in terms of sustainability. For this reasons, design of recyclable packaging has 

became more important issue. Two different recycling methods are used in the industry, which 

are mechanical and chemical processes. One of the most preferred recycling techniques is 

mechanical recycling and it is based on collecting, then sorting of the plastic wastes to separate 

the polymer types as pure as possible to feed to the extrusion. Sorting includes multiple 

steps such as separating, washing, crushing, windsifting. The last step of mechanical recycling 

is extrusion, where, separated plastic waste transforms by means of melting of the plastic and 

reshaped as to granules or flakes. The polymer structure of the raw materials does not change 

at the end of the process and they are accepted as reusable for non-food contact applications. 

The other method used for recycling is chemical recycling process. This process based on 

depolymerisation which is mainly related to input polymers by breaking down the polymeric 

structure to obtain the original monomers or valuable secondary raw materials. Chemical 

recycling processes can be done with the help of different chemical reactions such as depolymerisation, 

partial oxidation (gasification) and cracking (pyrolysis) processes. Chemical 

recycling process can be designed with respect to the raw material/sorted plastic waste and 

the the technique has still been developing. Comparing the two methods, mechanical recycling 

is a commonly applied technique due to its technical and economic feasibility. Therefore, it is 

very important to design the flexible packaging suitable for mechanical recycling process. In 

the mechanical recycling process, NIR (near infrared) device is used for identifying the outer 

surface(s) of flexible packaging and then sorting according to polymer type. With the help 

of NIR, only outer surface of packaging can be analyzed. Since the sorting is made only by 

outer surface analysis by means of the NIR device, the potential of the inner layers of a flexible 

packaging with PET outer layer to contain PP and PE based raw materials could be ignored.

çerme potansyel göz ardı edlmş olunur ve verml br ger dönüşüm 

yapılamaz (CEFLEX (2020), Desgnng For A Crcular Economy Phase 1) Bu 

sebeple br esnek ambalajın ger dönüşüme şu ank teknolojyle en uygun 

hale geleblmes çn tek tp polmer çermes gerekmektedr. Sektörde uzun 

yıllardır kullanılan esnek ambalajlar, çoğunlukla kompozt yapıda olup farklı 

malzemelern lamne edlmesyle oluşturulmaktadırlar. Örneğn, baskı çn 

parlaklığı ve sertlğ yüksek olduğundan PET (Poletlen Tereftalat, Polyester) 

flm, yapışma çn düşük yoğunluk ve kuvvetl yapışma özellğne sahp PE 

(Poletlen) flm, baryer sağlayablmek çn de Alu (Alümnyum) folyo veya 

PETMET (Metalze Polyester) ya da BOPPMET (Metalze BOPP) flmler 

kullanılmaktadır. Fakat mevcut kompozt yapı farklı polmer tpler çerdğ çn 

ger dönüşüm prosesne uygun olmamaktadır. Uygunluğun sağlanablmes 

çn esnek ambalajların pololefn bazlı polmerlerden üretmne yönelm 

gösterlmştr. Pololefnler, termoplastk ürünler olup etlen ve proplen gb 

bast alkenlern polmerzasyonu le oluşan makro moleküllerdr. Poletlen 

(PE) ve Polproplen (PP), esnek ambalaj sektörüne uygun fzksel ve kmyasal 

özellkler, kolay şleneblrlk ve ekonomk açıdan avantajları nedenyle 

ambalaj sektöründe en yaygın kullanılan pololefnlerdr. 

Plastkler mekank ger dönüşüm şlemlernde ertlp yenden granüle 

edldğnden erme noktası proses çn klt br parametredr. Br plastk 

flm granül halne getrmek çn gerekl olan proses ısı değerler, karışımın 

en yüksek erme noktasına sahp hammaddeye göre belrlenmektedr. 

PE ve PP’n erme noktaları sırasıyla 110-130 °C ve 160 °C olmak üzere 

brbrne daha yakındır. Bu nedenle ger dönüşüm şlemlernde PE ve PP 

çeren ambalaj yapıları terch edlmektedr. Detaylı ncelendğnde se, PP 

ve PE flmlern fzksel ve kmyasal özellklernn farklı olduğu görülmektedr. 

PP; berraklık, parlaklık ve mukavemet gb çeştl özellklernden dolayı 

ambalaj flmlernde yaygın olarak kullanılan termoplastklerdendr. Aynı 

zamanda orta düzeyde gaz ve y derecede nem baryerne sahpken, 

PE düşük erme sıcaklığına sahp olduğu çn güçlü yapışma davranışı 

gösterr, bu nedenle genellkle lamne flmlerde yapışma fonksyonuna 

hzmet edecek katman olarak kullanılır. Yüzey özellkler brbrnden farklı 

olan bu malzemeler, çeştl modfkasyonlar le ürün htyacının özellklerne 

göre tek başına veya karışım halnde kullanılablrler. 

This is not efficient way for recycling. (CEFLEX (2020), Designing 

For A Circular Economy Phase 1) Therefore, packaging must 

contain only one type of polymer to be suitable with current recycling 

technology and to guarantee efficient sorting.Traditional flexible packages 

are mostly in composite structures and consist of lamination of 

different materials. In the conventional flexible packaging, PET film is 

used in the outer layer owing to its properties such as brightness and 

toughness. PE film is used as sealing medium due to its low density and 

high heat sealing strength features. In addition, aluminum and metallised 

films can be used in the middle layers in order to provide barrier 

properties. However, all film types in the composite structure is not 

suitable for recycling. Since the existing composite structure contains 

different polymer types, it is not suitable for the recycling. The industry 

has to move to packaging production from polyolefin-based polymers 

to ensure the compatibility with mechanical recycling. Polyolefins (POs) 

are, thermoplastic products with macro molecules, produced by the 

polymerisation of alkenes such as propylene and ethylene. Polyethylene 

(PE) and Polypropylene (PP) are the most widely POs used in packaging 

industry due to their physical and chemical properties, easy processability 

and low cost advantages, and many more. Since the plastics are 

melted and re-granulated in the recycling operations, melting point is a 

key factor. Process heat values, required to melt plastic films to extrude 

and regranulate, are determined according to the highest melting point 

of raw material compound in the mixture. Melting points of PE and PP 

are quite close to each other, 110 to 130 °C and 160 °C respectively. 

Hence, the packaging structures containing PE and PP are the best for 

recycling processes, both in efficiency and non-problematic operation. 

Looking into more detail, PP and PE films have different physical and 

chemical properties. PP, is a widely used thermoplastic in packaging 

films due to its various properties such as clarity, gloss and strength. 

It has moderate to low gas and good moisture barrier, while PE has 

strong sealing behavior due to its low melting temperature, for this 

reason, PE films are used for sealing layer in the packaging structure. 

These materials, whose surface properties are quite different, 

can be used alone or in form of mixtures, with various modifications, 

depending on the the product need.

Mono PP bazlı ambalaj yapılanmalarında, baskı flm çn PET yerne 

BOPP flm, baryer çn Alümnyum yerne BOPPMET, yapışma katı çn 

se CPP veya BOPP flmler de kullanılmaktadır. Geleneksel PE’lern üretm 

teknolojs neden le çok esnek olması, mono PE yapıda esnek ambalaj 

gelştrmede baskı prosesnde teknk kısıtlara sebep olmaktadır. 

Bu nedenle mono PE bazlı ambalajın önündek engel kaldırablmek 

adına yen üretm teknolojlernn kullanımı sonucunda rotogravür baskıya 

uygun dayanıklı ve tok yapıda MDO PE (makne yönünde gerdrlmş) 

gelştrlmştr. Böylece, baskı ve lamnasyon teknolojlerne tam uyumla 

mono PE ambalaj yapılanmaları da yern almıştır. Toplam yapının baryer 

htyacı, yapışma ya da baskı katına eklenen farklı katkılar le sağlanmaktadır. 

Böylelkle, mono yapıda br ambalajda da kompozt yapılı ambalajlarda 

sağlanan özellklere ulaşılablmekte ve gıdaların raf ömrü çn 

gerekl özellkler sağlanablmektedr. Esnek ambalajlarda PE, PP gb baz 

flmlern yanında baskı operasyonunda mürekkep, lamnasyon operasyonunda 

tutkal ve htyaç olması durumunda flmlere baryer sağlamak 

çn ger dönüşüm özellğ olmayan türlü katkı maddeler kullanılmaktadır. 

Br ambalajın brm ağırlık verlernden, kullanılan mürekkep ve tutkal gramajlarından 

faydalanılarak yüzdesel olarak ger dönüştürüleblrlk oranı 

hesaplanablr. Br ambalajın ger dönüştürüleblr sıfatını edneblmes çn 

uyması gereken lk kural, Esnek Ambalaj çn Döngüsel Ekonom Konsorsyum’una 

göre (CEFLEX), ağırlıkça en az %90 oranında ger dönüştürüleblr 

(PO) malzemelerden oluşmasıdır. Hollanda Sürdürüleblr Ambalaj 

Ensttüsü’ne göre (KIDV) se, ger dönüştürüleblrlk yalnızca malzeme le 

değl esnek ambalajın ebatları le de lşkldr. 

KIDV’ın sstemne göre, esnek ambalajlar sınırlı ger dönüştürüleblr veya 

ger dönüşüme uygun olarak sınıflandırılmaktadır. Br dğer fark, mono PO 

ve mono PP yapıların sınırlı ger dönüştürüleblr sınıfına dahl olmasıdır. 

Sonuç olarak, gelşen ve hızla değşen dünyada sürdürüleblr br yaşam 

çn geleceğ şekllendren yenlkç adımların atılması kaçınılmazdır. Bu 

kapsamda, ambalaj dzaynlarının ger dönüşüme uygun çevre dostu olarak 

yapılması özellkle plastk atıkların azaltılması, enerj vermllğ kaynakların 

yenden kullanılması konularında gerekllk halne gelmştr. Böylelkle sürdürüleblr 

br yaşam le brlkte ekonomk büyüme, çevresel bakım ve sosyal 

refah arasında br denge sağlanacak, mevcut nesllern htyaçları gelecek 

nesllern htyaçlarından ödün vermeden karşılanacaktır. 

In mono PP-based packaging structures, BOPP film is used instead of 

PET for the printing film, BOPPMET is used instead of aluminum for providing 

the barrier properties, and for the sealing layer appropriate CPP or 

BOPP films can also be used. Conventional PE films are stretchable due 

to their production technology, but it causes technical restrictions in the 

printing process. In order to eliminate the problems caused by flexibility, 

thanks to the help of film production technologies, durable and tough 

MDO PE (machine-direction oriented) films can be produced, which 

are also suitable for rotogravure printing. Thus, mono PE packaging 

structures that can be processed efficiently in printing and lamination, 

have also taken their place. In addition, the barrier requirement of the 

total structure is provided by different additives to the sealing or printing 

layer. Therefore, mono-structured package also meets the shelf life 

requirement of food product. In flexible packaging converting, ink is used 

in the printing operation, adhesive is used in the lamination operation in 

addition to packaging films such as PE and PP. Various non-recyclable 

additives are also can be used to provide gas and moisture barrier to 

the film, if needed. The percentage of recyclability can roughly be calculated 

by using the unit weight of a package, the coating weight of ink 

and adhesive per unit area (sqm) which are used during printing and 

lamination operations. According to the Circular Economy for Flexible 

Packaging Consortium (CEFLEX), the first rule to qualify of a packaging 

as recyclable, packaging must consist of at least 90% recyclable (PO) 

materials by weight. According to the Netherlands Institute for Sustainable 

Packaging (KIDV), recyclability is not only related to the polymer type 

but also to the dimensions of the flexible packaging. According to KIDV’s 

system, flexible packaging is classified as limited recyclable or suitable for 

recycling. Another difference is that mono PO and mono PP structures 

are included in the limited recyclability category. As a consequence, in 

the developing and changing world, it is inevitable to take innovative steps 

that shape the future for a sustainable life. In this regard, it has become a 

necessity to redesign packaging structures in an environmentally friendly 

manner, in accordance with recyclability, especially in terms of reducing 

plastic waste and reusing energy efficiency resources. In this way, balance 

between economic growth, environmental care and social welfare will be 

achieved with a sustainable life, and the needs of current generations will 

be met without compromising the needs of future generations.

can cause insomnia, and chronic pain, difficult breathing and frequent 

urination disrupt sleep patterns. 

THINGS TO DO FOR A HEALTHY SLEEP 

Lavender scent: Keep lavender scented in your bedroom for a better 

sleep. Lavender will slow down your heartbeat and lower blood pressure 

with its calming effect, so you will have an easier and more comfortable 

transition to sleep. 

Read a book: Reading in bed makes it easier for the eyes to become 

heavy and for the mind to fall asleep without thinking about anything else. 

Take a shower: Within 15 minutes after a warm shower, you will definitely 

fall asleep. 

Listen to classical music: Classical music has a relaxing and therapeutic 

effect. The type and tones of music relax the brain and body, making it 

easier to fall asleep. 

Exercise to help you fall asleep: For those who have sleep problems, 

you will facilitate your transition to sleep with the breathing exercise that 

will help them fall asleep in 60 seconds at Harvard University. Breathe out 

through your nose for 4 seconds. Hold your breath for 7 seconds and 

exhale for 8 seconds. Repeat this method 3 times. With this exercise, 

oxygen circulates throughout the body and relaxes the body. Also while 

exhaling, the stress and troubles in the mind are removed from the body.

Almanya’nın öneml kültür sanat şehrlernden br olan Düsseldorf, 

Ren Nehr kıyısında kurulmuş moda ve fuar kent olmakla brlkte 

dünyaca ünlü sanay fuarlarıyla da tanınıyor. Şehrn sm, Ren 

Nehr’nn kollarından br olan Düssel Çayı’ndan gelyor, “dorf” se köy 

anlamını taşıyor. 

Düsseldorf’u gezmek steyenler çn 1-2 gün yeterl olablyor ancak 

fuarlara katılım ve zyaret yapmak steyenler çn bu süre yeterl 

olmayacaktır. Fuar denlnce akla lk gelen, sanat yaşamına yön veren 

ve müzeleryle ünlü olan Düsseldorf’ta görülmes gereken tarh 

noktalardan bazılarını bu yazımızda szler çn derledk. 

Düsseldorf, one of the important culture and art cities of 

Germany, is a fashion and fair city established on the banks 

of the Rhine, and is also known for its world-famous industry fairs. The 

name of the city comes from the Düssel Stream, one of the branches 

of the Rhine, and “dorf” means village. 

1-2 days may be sufficient for those who want to visit Düsseldorf, 

but this time will not be enough for those who want to attend and visit 

fairs. In this article, we have compiled some of the must-see historical 

spots in Düsseldorf, which is the first thing that comes to mind when 

it comes to fairs, guides the art life and is famous for its museums.

MİMARİ YAPILAR - ARCHITECTURAL STRUCTURES 

Schloss Benrath 

/ Benrath Kalesi 

Schloss Benrath / Benrath Castle 

Rokoko tarzına sahp olan kale, 1756-1773 yılları arasında nşa edlmş 

olup, tasarımı Fransız Mmar Ncholas de Pgage tarafından yapılmıştır. 

Saray Prenses Elzabeth Auguste çn The Prnce-Elector’un steğ üzerne 

nşa edlmştr. Sarayın nşası Yed Yıl Savaşları’na denk geldğnden nşa 

sırasında geckme yaşanmıştır. Sarayın tozpembe renge boyanmış olması, 

nşa amacının br sayfye yer olarak kullanılacak olmasından kaynaklanmaktadır. 

Sarayın peyzajındak ççek tarhları, çeşmeler ve süslü bahçeler 

de bu düşüncenn br yansımasıdır. Günümüzde saraydak salonlar düğün, 

konser ve restaller gb çeştl etknlkler çn kullanılmakta ve 61 hektarlık 

alana sahp olan saray bahçesnn büyük br kısmı doğal koruma alanı statüsüne 

alınmıştır. Ayrıca Schloss Benrath, müze olarak zyaret edlmekte, 

döneme at çeştl eşyalar ve moblyalar barındırmaktadır. 

The castle, which has a Rococo style, was built between 1756 

and 1773 and was designed by the French Architect Nicholas 

de Pigage. The palace was built for Princess Elizabeth Auguste at the request 

of The Prince-Elector. Since the construction of the palace coincided 

with the Seven Years’ War, there was a delay during the construction. 

The fact that the palace was painted in powder pink is due to the fact 

that the purpose of its construction was to be used as a summer resort. 

The flower beds, fountains and ornate gardens in the palace’s landscape 

are also a reflection of this thought. Today, the halls of the palace are 

used for various events such as weddings, concerts and recitals, and a 

large part of the palace garden, which has an area of 61 hectares, 

has been given the status of a natural protection area. In addition, 

Schloss Benrath is visited as a museum and houses various items 

and furniture from the period. 

Carsch Haus 

Carsch Haus, sahp olduğu Neoklask kumtaşı cephes ve 

Art Nouveau etksnde kalmış olan etkleyc mmars le günümüzde 

Düsseldorf’un öneml mmar yapıları arasında yer 

alıyor. 1915’de nşa edlmş olan yapı, günümüzde br alışverş 

merkez olarak kullanılıyor. İç büyük oranda modernze 

edlmş, bnanın dış kısmındak tarh dokunun korunmasına 

özen gösterlmştr. Düsseldorf halkı çn değerl olan bu 

bna, 1982 senesnde br metro çalışmasına yer açmak 

amacıyla yıkılmak stenmş ancak br vatandaşın çabalarıyla 

kurtarılarak günümüze kadar ulaşmayı başarmıştır. 

Carsch Haus is one of the important architectural 

structures of Düsseldorf today, with its Neoclassical 

sandstone façade and impressive Art Nouveau-influenced 

architecture. The building, which was built in 1915, 

is now used as a shopping center. The interior has been 

largely modernized and care has been taken to preserve 

the historical texture on the exterior of the building. This 

building, which is valuable to the people of Düsseldorf, 

was wanted to be demolished in 1982 to make room for 

a subway operation, but it was saved by the efforts of a 

citizen and managed to reach the present day.

MÜZELER - MUSEUMS 

Kunstpalast Müzesi 

Kunstpalast Museum 

Cam sanatının ve grafk sanatının örneklern barındıran Kunstpalast 

Müzes çersnde 80.000’den fazla grafk ve 3000’den fazla cam eser 

barındırmaktadır. İk kere yenden nşa edlmş olan müze, 1902 senesnden 

kalma esk br müzenn bulunduğu alanda yer almaktadır. 

Kunstpalast Müzes’nde Gotk, Barok, Goethe dönemlerne at eserler, 

uygulamalı sanat, grafk ve cam sanatlarına dar koleksyonlar da 

görüleblmektedr. 

The Kunstpalast Museum, which houses examples of glass art and 

graphic art, contains more than 80,000 graphics and more than 

3000 glass works. The museum, which has been rebuilt twice, is located 

on the site of an old museum dating from 1902. 

Artifacts from the Gothic, Baroque and Goethe periods, collections of applied 

art, graphic and glass arts can also be seen in the Kunstpalast Museum. 

Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen 

Kunstsammlung Nordrhen-Westfalen, Düsseldorf’tak Alman 

Federal Kuzey Ren-Vestfalya Eyaletnn sanat koleksyonudur. 

Almanya‘nın en özel koleksyonlarına ev sahplğ yapan Nordrhe- 

n-Westfalen Galers’nde çzmler, resmler, heykeller, fotoğraflar ve 

Almanya’nın en meşhur sanatçılarının eserler (Pcasso, Matsse, 

Mondraan, Warhol vb.) serglenmektedr. 

The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen is the art collection 

of the German Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia in 

Düsseldorf. Drawings, paintings, sculptures, photographs and works 

of Germany’s most famous artists (Picasso, Matisse, Mondriaan, Warhol 

etc.) are exhibited in the Nordrhein-Westfalen Gallery, which hosts 

the most private collections of Germany. 

Müze bnası, 1971 senesnde açıldığında Hollandalı mmar Aldo van 

Eyck tarafından koruma altına alınarak, Almanya’da müze amacıyla 

özel olarak nşa edlmş olan lk galer bnası olma özellğn taşımaktadır. 

When the museum building was opened in 1971, it was taken under 

protection by the Dutch architect Aldo van Eyck and is the first gallery 

building in Germany to be built specifically for museum purposes.

Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth 

In addition, you can visit churches or art and

Bölgenn en esk ve en lüks mahallelernden br olan Düsseldorf-Ka- 

serswerth, şehre 1929 senesnde dâhl olmuştur. Mahallede gezmes 

çok keyfl olan yyecek ve el ş ürünler satan geleneksel Alman 

dükkânları bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca mahallede Kaserswerth Sanat Arşv 

(Kunstarchv Kaserswerth) le kafe ve restoranlar da dâhl olmak üzere 

çok sayıda sanat galers yer almaktadır. Geçmş 13. yüzyıla kadar 

uzanan Azz Sutbertus Klses, azzn mezarı le dkkat çekmektedr. 

Bununla brlkte Barbarossa olarak da blnen İmparator I. Frederck’n 

mparatorluk kales olan Kaserpfalz se bölgenn en tarh noktalarından 

brdr. Kalenn büyük br kısmı harabe olmasına karşın dört metreden 

daha kalın duvarlarıyla hala etkleyclğn korumaya devam etmektedr. 

Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth, one of the oldest and most luxurious 

neighborhoods in the region, was included in the city in 1929. 

There are traditional German shops selling food and handicrafts in the 

neighborhood, which are very pleasant to visit. There are also many art 

galleries in the neighborhood, including the Kaiserswerth Art Archive 

(Kunstarchiv Kaiserswerth) and cafes and restaurants. The Saint Suitbertus 

Church, which dates back to the 13th century, draws attention

çnde bulunan sera, şehrn sembol yapılarından br olarak kabul 

edlyor. 1.000 metrekarelk br alana yayılmış olan botank bahçes 

çnde Akdenz, Kalfornya, Şl, Güney Afrka, Yen Zelanda ve Asya 

kökenl 400 cvarında btk bulunuyor. 

Located adjacent to the Heinrich Heine University land on the 

south side of the city, the greenhouse, which is located in 

a hemisphere with a height of 18 meters, is considered one of the 

symbolic structures of the city. Spread over an area of 1,000 square 

meters, the botanical garden contains around 400 plants from the 

Mediterranean, California, Chile, South Africa, New Zealand and Asia. 

Eko Haus 

Eko Haus, 1993 senesnde şehrn Nederkassel bölgesnde açılmıştır. 

Eko Haus Düsseldorf’ta, şehrdek büyük Japon nüfusuna 

adanmış küçük br vahadır. 

Küçük geleneksel br Japon ev çevresnde şekllenmş Japon bahçeler 

ve geleneksel Japon sanatlarıyla buluşmak steyenler Eko 

Haus’u zyaret edeblr. 

Eko Haus was opened in 1993 in the Niederkassel district of 

the city. Eko Haus is a small oasis in Düsseldorf, dedicated to 

the large Japanese population in the city. Those who want to meet 

Japanese gardens and traditional Japanese arts shaped around a 

small traditional Japanese house can visit Eko Haus.

EXPORTS OF 19.7 BILLION DOLLARS IN 7 MONTHS FROM THE CHEMICAL INDUSTRY 

Bu yıl Ocak-Temmuz dönemnde en çok hracat yapan sektör olmayı 

başaran kmya sektörü temmuz ayında, geçen yıla kıyasla yüzde 53,98 

artışla 2,95 mlyar dolar hracat gerçekleştrrken, lk yed ayda hracatını 

yüzde 41,8 artırarak 19,7 mlyar dolarlık hracat gerçekleştrd. 

Kmya sektörünün temmuz ayı hracat rakamlarını değerlendren İKMİB Yönetm 

Kurulu Başkanı Adl Pelster, “Başta emta fyat artışı olmak üzere pandem 

sonrası talep artışı ve tedark zncrnn değşmesyle ülkemze kayan talebn 

yanı sıra kmya sektörümüzdek şrketlermzn gösterdğ üretm performansının 

hracatımızı olumlu yönde etkledğn söyleyeblrz. Küresel ekonomk 

gelşmeler, savaş kaynaklı gerlm ve krzler tüm dünyayı ve sektörler doğrudan 

ve dolaylı etklemeye devam edyor. İhracatımızın yaklaşık yarısını yaptığımız 

Avrupa Brlğ bölgesnde stagflasyon veya resesyon yaşanırsa bu hracatımıza 

da olumsuz yönde etk edeblr. Ancak ülkemzn lojstk avantajı, ürün kaltes 

bakımından daha terch edlr olması dolayısıyla ülkemzn olası resesyondan 

daha az etklenmesn umuyoruz.” ded.

The chemical industry, which managed to become the sector 

that exports the most in the January - July period this year, 

realized an export of 2.95 billion dollars in July with an increase of 53.98 

percent compared to the previous year, it increased its exports by 41.8 

percent in the first seven months and reached 19.7 billion dollars. 

Evaluating the export figures of the chemical industry in July, IKMIB Chairman 

of the Board Adil Pelister said, “We can say that the production 

performance of our companies in the chemical industry, in addition to 

the demand shifting to our country with the increase in demand after the 

pandemic, especially the increase in commodity prices, and the change 

in the supply chain, have positively affected our exports. Global economic 

developments, war-induced tensions and crises continue to affect the 

whole world and sectors directly and indirectly. If there is a stagflation or 

recession in the European Union region, where we make about half of 

our exports, this may have a negative impact on our exports. However, 

we hope that our country will be less affected by the possible recession 

due to the logistics advantage of our country and the fact that it is more 

preferable in terms of product quality.” said.
