SMS TORK, LEAVE INOVALIS WITH TWO AWARDS. 

Türkye İhracatçılar Mecls tarafından düzenlenen ve Türkye’nn lk 

novasyon gelştrme programı olan İnovaLİG yarışmasında, SMS 

TORK çalışma kültürü novasyonu “Yalın Üretm” le “İnovasyon Organzasyonu 

ve Kültürü Kob” kategorsnde knc oldu. 

Türkye İhracatçılar Mecls’nn (TİM), bu yıl 10’uncusunu düzenledğ 

Türkye İnovasyon Haftası kapsamında yer alan Türkye’nn novasyon 

şampyonlarının belrlendğ İnovaLİG ’de ş dünyasındak yenlkç 

yaklaşımları ve başarıları le öne çıkan şrketler ödüllern aldı. 

Halç Kongre Merkez’nde düzenlenen ödül törennde SMS TORK 

adına ödülü Yönetm Kurulu Başkanı Enver Kaya, Çalışma ve Sosyal 

Güvenlk Bakanı Prof. Dr. Vedat Işıkhan ve Türkye İhracatçılar Mecls 

Başkanı Mustafa Gültepe’den aldı. Enver Kaya, Türkye’nn lk 

SMS TORK came second in the “Innovation Organization and 

Culture SME” category with its work culture innovation “Lean 

Production” in the InovaLIG competition, Turkey’s first innovation development 

program organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly. 

The companies that stand out with their innovative approaches and 

achievements in the business world received their awards at the InovaLIG, 

where Turkey’s innovation champions were determined within 

the scope of Turkey Innovation Week, organized by the Turkish Exporters 

Assembly (TIM) for the 10th time this year. At the award ceremony 

held at the Haliç Congress Center, Enver Kaya, Chairman of 

the Board of Directors, received the award on behalf of SMS TORK 

from Prof. Dr. Vedat Işıkhan, Minister of Labor and Social Security, 

and Mustafa Gültepe, President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly.

Montaj, paletleme, makne yönetm, paketleme, Pck & Place 

ve dğer brçok görev çn kullanılablr. 

Each cobot has six rotating joints operating with ±0.03 

mm repeatability, providing six degrees of freedom with 

an average speed of between 1.1 and 1.4 m/s. 

Models are available with and without built-in 1.2M/5M pixel color 

cameras, or users can optionally use 2 GigE 2D cameras for applications 

requiring greater resolution. 

Joint J6, which is the camera joint at the end of the cobot arm, 

can move at 450°/s—which is the fastest in the industry and is 

four times faster than the previous model—supporting improved 

inspection operations. 

With a total of 31 specific safety features, and 12 of those added 

for this new generation, these cobots are safer and ready to integrate 

with a wide variety of safety devices and switch configurations, 

without the need for an external safety controller in many 

applications. 

The OMRON TMS S Series cobots are inherently safe for operating 

in workspaces shared with people, but additional safety sensors or 

other provisions may be required based on configured speeds and

arıza durumlarında alarm kaz göstergeler ve kornalı sstem mevcuttur. 

Vacuum unit and raw material storage reservoir in PARSCONTROL Hopper Loader 

have separate structures connected to each other. Special mounting flanges, antistatic 

hose and stainless steel suction pipe make it easy to mount hopper to the main feeding 

system. Control unit of the hopper by using level sensors detects the material absence 

and convey the raw material via vacuum system to the feeder bunker, making the production 

process continuous and increasing productivity of the whole system. 

Dust absorbing fabric filter periodically cleaned by Automatic Cleaning System protecting 

it from damage. Filter consist of stainless steel frame and fabric coating. Hopper loader is 

controlled by Pars control device designed special for PARSCONTROL. Special software 

makes it available to adjust all the process variables such as timing, vacuum settings and 

raw material amount. In case of raw material absence or system failure there is a warning 

indicators and alarm sound system.

1928 yılında Karl Neugart tarafından Almanya’nın Kara Ormanlar 

bölgesnde yer alan Furtwangen kasabasında kuruldu. Mekank ekpman 

ve büro makneler çn dşl parçaların üretmyle endüstr sektörünün 

kapılarını açan şrket, 1943 yılında Furtwangen’den Almanya’nın aynı bölgesnde 

bulunan Kppenhem’a taşındı. Frma çalışmalarına; 1952 yılında 

masa saat, 1954 yılında se mekank kuru tıraş makneler çn yaylı hareket 

takımı üretmlern ekleyerek devam ett. Uzun yıllar sonra mekank yağ 

sevyes göstergelernn üretmne başlayan Neugart; Almanya, Fransa,

For more than 95 years, Neugart has been successfully operating 

in the field of gearboxes and was founded in 1928 

by Karl Neugart in the town of Furtwangen in the Black Forest region 

of Germany. The company, which opened the doors of the industrial 

sector with the production of gear parts for mechanical equipment 

and office machines, moved from Furtwangen to Kippenheim in the 

same region of Germany in 1943. The company continued its activities 

by adding a desk clock in 1952 and a spring-loaded motion set 

for mechanical dry shavers in 1954. After many years, Neugart started 

the production of mechanical oil level indicators and established 

its first sales and distribution agencies in Germany, France, Benelux 

countries, Italy and Austria. Karl Neugart handed over his growing 

company to his son Georg Neugart and daughter Erika Herr in 50 

percent shares. With new owners, the company's annual turnover 

exceeded DM 1 million in 1969 and continued to grow, exceeding 

DM 2 million in 1973. In 1975, production of the first planetary gearbox 

developed for stepper motors, which aims to increase efficiency 

by controlling high torque values, began. After the groundbreaking 

of the 1st factory building at the company's facility in Kippenheim in 

1978, the factory building expanded its production area by 1,400

ve 2022 yılında İsvçre’de Neugart Schwez AG Şrket'n açtı. Aynı yıl

Neugart, joined the company as managing director. 1997 Neugart 

USA Corp. was founded in North America. In the early 2000s, 

Georg Neugart stepped down as managing director of the company. 

On the 75th anniversary of its foundation in 2003, the company 

established Neugart Italia S.R.L. in Italy and Atlanta Neugart France 

S.A.R.L. in France. Neugart, which has always maintained its success 

by establishing a new company every year, established Neugart 

Planetary Gearboxes (Shenyang) Co. Ltd. in China in 2004. In 2008, 

Neugart received its first DIN EN ISO 14001 certification and broke 

ground for its second factory building at its plant in Kippenheim. 

The global company decided to take part in the Turkish market and 

established its company in Turkey and Brazil in 2011. Neugart Holding 

GmbH was established in Germany. 2013 Thomas Herr's son 

Matthias Herr joins the company. In 2014, the production area of the 

2nd factory building was expanded by 6,000 square meters at the 

plant in Kippenheim. In 2015, Neugart USA Corp, based in North 

Carolina, USA, moved from Pittsburgh to Charlotte. In 2017, Neugart 

inaugurated the new building of its subsidiary company Neugart 

Planetary Gearboxes (Shenyang) Co. Ltd. in Shenyang, China. Neugart 

did not leave his success to chance, and in 2020, he founded 

Neugart France S.A.S. in France. Company and in 2022 opened 

Neugart Schweiz AG in Switzerland. In the same year, Thomas Herr 

stepped down as managing director of the company. Today, Neugart 

continues to maintain its success as the world's best gearbox machine 

manufacturer.

1930’ lu yılların sonuna doğru tüm dünya knc büyük savaşa hazırlanırken, 

ekonomk sıkıntılar ve yokluklar Türkye’y de vurmaktadır. 

Bu yıllarda Anadolu’nun dört br tarafından nsanlar ş bulmak 

ümdyle İstanbul’a göç eder. Sürmenel Blgl Ales’nn oğlu Mehmet 

de küçük yaşta bu göçe katılanlardandır… 

1930’s towards the end of the year all the world prepares for 

the second Great War, economic hardship and poverty are 

hit Turkey. In these years, people from all over Anatolia migrate to Istanbul 

in hopes of finding a job. Mehmet, the son of the from Sürmene 

Bilgili Family, is one of those who joined this migration at a young age. 

Sürmene’nn Kemerl Köyü’nde yaşayan Hasan ve Esma Blgl çft, 

tarım ve hayvancılıkla geçmn sağlar. Çftn dört çocuğundan br 

olan Mehmet Blgl 1928 yılında dünyaya gelr. 

Hasan and Esma Bilgili couple, living in From Kemer Village of Sürmene, 

earn a living from agriculture and animal husbandry. Mehmet 

Bilgili, one of the couple's four children, was born in 1928. 

Mehmet Blgl, lkokulu btrdkten sonra öğrenmne devam etmez 

ve ş bulmak çn 1941 yılında İstanbul’a göç eder. İstanbul’da bekâr 

evlernde kalmaya başlayan Mehmet Blgl, Karaköy Perşembe 

Pazarı’nda Yahud br ustanın atölyesne çırak olarak grer. 

Mesleğ öğrendğ bu dükkânda daha çok gem pervaneler, şaft ve 

su pompaları yapılmaktadır. Ustasının çok sevdğ Mehmet Blgl, 10 

yıl bu atölyede çalışır ve y br usta olur. 

Mehmet Bilgili did not continue his education after finishing primary 

school and immigrated to Istanbul in 1941 to find a job. Mehmet 

Bilgili, who started staying in his unmarried houses in Istanbul, 

enters the workshop of a Jewish master in Karaköy Thursday 

Bazaar as an apprentice. In this shop, where he learned the profession, 

ship propellers, shaft and water pumps are mostly made. 

Mehmet Bilgili, who is loved by his master, works in this workshop 

for 10 years and becomes a good master.

“Devlete Kapağı At k, Sırtın Yere Gelmesn” 

1951 yılında Taş Kızak Tersanes mthanla eleman alacağını açıklayınca 

babası, Mehmet Blgl’ye sınava grmesn söyler. Mehmet 

Blgl, ustasını çok sevmektedr ve yanından ayrılmak stemez. Fakat 

babası ısrarla “Devlete kapağı at k, sırtın yere gelmesn” der. Babasını 

daha fazla kıramayan Mehmet Blgl sınava grmey kabul eder. Sınavı 

brnclkle kazanır ve usta olarak tersanede çalışmaya başlar. Bu 

süreçte şlern yoluna koyan Mehmet Blgl, önce babasını ardından 

da tüm alesn İstanbul’a getrr. 

“Oğlun İy ve Çalışkan Br Usta, Ona Ön Ayak Ol” 

Mehmet Blgl, Taş Kızak Tersanes’nde gem pervanes, şaft ve dümen 

yapımında çalışır. Ardından 1955 yılında evlenr. Bu evllkten 

1961 yılında Yaşar, 1964 yılında se Hasan Fehm Blgl dünyaya gelr. 

Mehmet Blgl tersanede çalışmaya devam etmekte fakat br yandan 

da kend atölyesn açmak stemektedr. 

Bu fkrn o dönem Türk Petrol’de çalışan amcasının oğlu Refk Blgl’ 

ye de açar. Refk Blgl ortak atölye açmayı kabul eder fakat Mehmet 

Blgl’nn yeterl parası yoktur. Mehmet Blgl babasından kendsne 

br torna tezgâhı almasını ster. 

Fakat babası Mehmet Blgl’ nn tersaneden ayrılmasını doğru bulmaz 

ve atölye açma fkrne karşı çıkar. Tüm ısrarlarına rağmen babasını 

kna edemeyen Mehmet Blgl, mahallede bakkallık yapan 

br Yahud’den yardım ster. Mahallede herkesn aklına güvendğ 

bu Yahud bakkal Hasan Blgl le konuşur, “Oğlun y ve çalışkan br 

usta, ona ön ayak ol” der. Sonunda Hasan Blgl kna olur ve Mehmet 

Blgl’ye br tezgâh alır. 

Böylece Mehmet Blgl ve Refk Blgl 1958 yılında Ayvansaray’ da kraladıkları 

dükkânda çalışmaya başlar. “Blgl Makne” tabelasıyla açılan 30 

metrekarelk bu küçük dükkânda ağırlıklı olarak gem pervaneler ve şaft 

yapımıyla lglenrler. Yaptıkları ürünler Ayvansaray’dan Karaköy’e kadar 

km zaman at arabalarında km zaman sırtlarında getrrler. 

Br süre sonra Refk Blgl’ nn Türk Petrol’dek bağlantılarından şler 

gelmeye başlar ve Türk Petrol’ün kompresörlernn, yıkama yağlama 

maknelernn tamr ve bakım şlern üstlenrler. Türk Petrol’ün bakım 

ve tamr şler le büyümeye başlayan Blgl Makne, br süre sonra 

kompresör ve tazykl su maknes malatına da başlar. 

"Put the Cover on the State, Don't Let Your Back 

Happen" 

In 1951, when Taş Kızak Shipyard announced that it 

would take an exam, his father told Mehmet Bilgili to take the 

exam. Mehmet Bilgili loves his master very much and does not 

want to leave him. 

But his father insistently says, "Throw the cap on the state so 

that your back will not come to the ground." Mehmet Bilgili, who 

could not break his father any longer, agrees to take the exam. 

He passes the exam first and starts to work in the shipyard as 

a master. Mehmet Bilgili, who settled his work in this process, 

first brought his father and then his whole family to Istanbul. 

"Your Son is a Good and Hardworking Master, Stand For 

Him" 

Mehmet Bilgili works in the construction of ship propellers, 

shafts and rudders at Taş Kızak Shipyard. 

Then he got married in 1955. Yaşar was born from this marriage 

in 1961 and Hasan Fehmi Bilgili was born in 1964. Mehmet 

Bilgili continues to work at the shipyard, but also wants to 

open his own workshop. 

He also opens this idea to Refik Bilgili, the son of his uncle, who 

worked in Turkish Petroleum at that time. Refik Bilgili agrees 

to open a joint workshop, but Mehmet Bilgili does not have 

enough money. 

Mehmet Bilgili asks his father to buy him a lathe. But his father 

does not find it right for Mehmet Bilgili to leave the shipyard 

and opposes the idea of opening a workshop. Unable to persuade 

his father despite all his insistence, Mehmet Bilgili seeks 

help from a Jew who works as a grocery store in the neighborhood. 

He talks to Hasan Bilgili, this Jewish grocer, whom everyone 

trusts in the neighborhood, and says, "Your son is a good and 

hardworking master, lead him." In the end, Hasan Bilgili is convinced 

and gets a workbench for Mehmet Bilgili. 

Thus, Mehmet Bilgili and Refik Bilgili started to work in the shop 

they rented in Ayvansaray in 1958. In this small shop of 30 

square meters, opened with a "Bilgili Machine" sign, they mainly 

deal with ship propellers and shafts. They bring their products 

from Ayvansaray to Karaköy, sometimes in horse carriages and 

sometimes on their backs.After a while, things start to come 

from Refik Bilgili's connections in Turkish Petrol and they undertake 

the repair and maintenance works of Turkish Petrol's 

compressors, washing lubrication machines. 




Bilgili Machine, which started to grow with the maintenance 

and repair works of Turkish Petroleum, starts to 

manufacture compressors and pressurized water machines 

after a while. 

While Bilgili Machine was mainly dealing with the repair works of 

Turkish Petrol, the Man factory offered them to make parts. The 

agreement made with the Man factory plays an important role in 

the growth of Bilgili Machine. 

With the work of the Man factory, the workshop is insufficient 

and another 150 square meter shop is rented right next door. 

With this new shop, the number of employees increases to 15. 

Blgl Makne ağırlıklı olarak Türk Petrol’ün tamr şleryle uğraştığı dönemde 

Man fabrkası kendlerne parça yapmalarını teklf eder. Man 

fabrkasıyla yapılan anlaşma, Blgl Makna’nın büyümesnde öneml 

rol oynar. Man fabrkasının şleryle brlkte atölye yetersz kalır ve hemen 

yan tarafta 150 metrekarelk br dükkân daha kralanır. Bu yen 

dükkânla brlkte çalışan sayısı 15 kşye kadar çıkar. 

“Bu Makney Tamamlayablr msn?” 

1970 yılına gelndğnde knc dükkânda yetersz kalır ve Balat’ta 350 

metrekarelk k katlı br dükkân yaparlar. Balat’ta yen dükkâna geçtkler 

dönemde Polonya’dan yen tezgâhlar alarak şler daha da büyütürler. 

Blgl Makna, Balat’tak yen atölyesnde o yıllarda Türkye’nn sayılı

Kısa sürede makney tamamlar ve teslm eder. 1974 yılında yapılan 

bu lk poşet baskı maknes beğenlr ve başka talepler de gelmeye 

başlar. Bu dönemden sonra Blgl Makne, matbaa makneler tamr 

ve malatına da başlar fakat ağırlıklı olarak Man fabrkasına çalışmaya 

devam eder. 1970’l yıllar frmada knc kuşağın da görev aldığı yıllar 

olur. İlkokuldan sonra okulu bırakan Yaşar Blgl, 1973 yılında frmada 

çalışmaya başlar. Hasan Fehm Blgl Maçka Sanat Okulu’nu brnclkle 

btrr, 1980 yılında frmada çalışmaya başlar. 1980 yılında Man 

fabrkasıyla yapılan çalışma son bulur. Frma, kompresör ve matbaa 

makneler malatına devam eder. 

“Hata Yapacaksanız da Sağ İken Göreym” 

1981 yılında Mehmet Blgl ve amcaoğlu Refk Blgl ayrılmaya 

karar verrler. Refk Blgl, kompresör şne devam etmek stedğn 

söyleyerek frmadan ayrılır. Refk Blgl’nn ayrılmasından sonra 

Mehmet Blgl ve oğulları matbaa şne devam eder. Mehmet Blgl 

"Can You Complete This Machine?" 

By 1970, the second shop was insufficient and they built a 350 

square meter two-storey shop in Balat. When they move to a 

new shop in Balat, they buy new looms from Poland and enlarge 

their business. 

Bilgili Machine, the new workshop at Balat in that year numbered 

plasticisers of Turkey's neighbors are Güvenal plastic. Mr. 

Selim, owner of Güvenal Plastic, which produces plastic bags, 

wants to have a Jewish master build a machine that will print on 

the bag. The Jewish master leaves the country before finishing 

the machine and the machine is left unfinished. Can you complete 

this machine? he says. 

Mehmet Bilgili looks at the machine and says "I do". It completes 

and delivers the machine in a short time. This first bag printing 

machine, made in 1974, is appreciated and other demands begin 

to come. 

After this period, Bilgili Machine also starts to repair and manufacture 

printing machines, but mainly continues to work at the 

Man factory. The 1970's are the years when the second generation 

of the company is also employed. Yaşar Bilgili, who left the 

school after primary school, started to work in the company in 

1973.Hasan Fehmi Bilgili graduates from the Maçka Art School 

with the first place and starts to work in the company in 1980. In 

1980, the work with the Man factory ends. The company continues 

to manufacture compressors and printing machines.

In 1981, Mehmet Bilgili and his cousin Refik Bilgili decide 

to leave. Refik Bilgili leaves the company saying that he 

wants to continue the compressor business. After Refik Bilgili 

leaves, Mehmet Bilgili and his sons continue their printing 

business. When their partnership with Uncle Mehmet Bilgili 

ends, he gives more responsibility to his sons. Yaşar 

Bilgili stated that they took great responsibility at an age that

Yaptık” 

1980’l yılların knc yarısı frmanın büyük atılım yaptığı yıllar olur. Bu 

dönemde hracata başladıklarını belrten Yaşar Blgl, “Turgut Özal 

dönemnde tüm Türkye gb bz de büyük atılım yaptık. O dönemde 

ufkumuz açıldı. Dünyanın her yern dolaştık, mak ne satmak çn 

fuarlara gttk. Blgl Makne olarak bu sevyeye Özal’ın sayesnde 

geldk. 1987 yılında Suud Arabstan’a lk hracatımızı yaptık. Ardından 

Azerbaycan, Özbekstan, Rusya derken hracat yaptığımız ülke sayısı 

hızla arttı. Bu yıllarda katıldığımız uluslararası fuarlar markamızın blnrlğn 

oldukça arttırdı. Bu dönemde maknelermz yok satıyordu.

Ayvansaray’ dak atölye çalışmaya devam ederken İMES’ten de 

300 metrekarelk br atölye daha tutulur. Büyük tezgâhlar İMES’ 

tek atölyeye taşınır ve bu atölyenn başına Yaşar Blgl geçer. 

Yaşar Blgl İMES te büyük parçaların malatını yaparken, kardeş 

Hasan Fehm Blgl de Ayvansaray’dak atölyede parçaları toplayarak 

makne üretmne devam eder. 1990 yılında kardeşlern 

ortak kararı le Hasan Fehm Blgl Bayrampaşa’ da farklı br atölye

have it after three months,” he says. While the workshop in Ayvansaray 

continues to work, another 300 square meter workshop 

is kept at IMES. Large looms are moved to the workshop 

in IMES and Yaşar Bilgili is the head of this workshop. While 

Yaşar Bilgili manufactures large parts at IMES, his brother Hasan 

Fehmi Bilgili collects the parts in the workshop in Ayvansaray 

and continues to produce machinery. In 1990, with the joint 

decision of the brothers, Hasan Fehmi Bilgili opened a different

kapalı alana sahp br fabrkanın yapımı henüz devam edyor. Blgl 

Makne çalışanlarının frmayı ale gb gördüğünü belrten Yaşar Blgl, 

“Çalışanlarımızın çoğu en az 30 yıllıktır. Babamın zamanında çırak 

olarak grmş nsanlar bugün usta olarak devam edyor. Blgl Makne 

onlarla brlkte büyüdü ve bugünlere geld. Onlar benm çocukluğumu 

blr, ben de onların. Kardeş gb çalışmaya devam edyoruz” dyor. 

2010’lu yıllar frmada üçüncü kuşağın da görev aldığı yıllar olur. Yaşar 

Blgl’nn oğlu Mehmet Blgl Kültür Ünverstes Uluslararası İlşkler 

Bölümü’nden mezun olduktan sonra 2016 yılında frmada aktf olarak 

görev alır. 

“Para Kaybetse de İtbarını Asla Kaybetmed” 

Blgl Makne’ nın kurucusu Mehmet Blgl 2016 yılında vefat eder. 

Babasının tüm yaşamını çalışarak geçrdğn belrten Yaşar Blgl, 

“Br gün yattığını blmem. 2013 yılına kadar sabah 7’den akşam 8’e 

kadar hep atölyedeyd. Son gününe kadar da gdp gelmeye devam 

ett. Dükkâna getrr, tekerlekl sandalyeyle gezdrrdm fabrkanın 

çnde. Babam Perşembe günü vefat ett, Salı günü buradaydı. Hayatında 

syan etmemş, kmseye hddetle bağırmamış bryd. İmanlı 

nsandı, kmse çn kötü düşünmez, dedkodu yapmazdı. Fakr fukara 

babasıydı. Balat’ ta sevmeyen yoktur. İşnde de çok ustaydı. Para 

kaybetse de tbarını asla kaybetmed. İlk yaptığı makneler bugün 

hala tıkır tıkır çalışıyor” dyor. 

Bugün 1500 metrekarelk tessnde 28 çalışanıyla üretme devam 

eden Blgl Makne, flekso baskı maknes çeştlernn üretmne 

devam edyor. Üretmnn yüzde 80’n hraç eden frma, dünyanın 

dört br yanına makne hraç etmeye devam edyor.

Third Generation Takes Duty 

Bilgili Machine is located in Malkara Organized Industrial Zone 

in 2014. The construction of a factory with a closed area of 

13,500 square meters on this land, which is 27,500 square 

meters in total, is still in progress. 

Stating that Bilgili Machine employees regard the company as 

a family, Yaşar Bilgili said, “Most of our employees are at least 

30 years old. People who entered as apprentices in my father's 

time continue as masters today. Bilgili Machine grew up with 

them and came to this day. They know my childhood, and I 

know theirs. 

"We continue to work like brothers." The years of 2010 are the 

years when the third generation in the company is also employed. 

Mehmet Bilgili, the son of Yaşar Bilgili, takes an active 

role in the firm in 2016 after graduating from the Department 

of International Relations at Culture University. 

"Even If He Lose Money, He Never Lost His Reputation" 

Mehmet Bilgili, the founder of Bilgili Machine, passed away in 

2016. Stating that his father spent his whole life working, Yaşar 

Bilgili said, “I don't know that you went to bed one day. Until 

2013, he was always in the workshop from 7 am to 8 pm. It 

continued to come and go until its last day. I would bring it to 

the shop and take it around in a wheelchair inside the factory. 

My father passed away on Thursday, he was here on Tuesday. 

He had never rebelled or yelled at anyone in anger. He was 

always a believer, he did not think badly for anyone, he did not 

gossip. He was the poor father of the poor. There is no one 

who does not like in Balat. 

He was also very good at his job. Although he lost money, he 

never lost his reputation. 

"The machines he first built are still working perfectly today." 

Bilgili Machine continues production with 28 employees in 

its 1500 square meter facility and continues to produce flexo 

printing machine types. The company, which exports 80 percent 

of its production, continues to export machinery to all 

over the world.

Dalgakıran Kompresör’ün bugüne uzanan yolculuğu; 1965 yılında İstanbul 

Karaköy’de bulunan Perşembe Pazarı’nda 25 metrekarelk küçük 

br atölye dükkanında başladı. Bu dönemde, Dalgakıran Kompresör’ün 

kurucusu olan babam Ömer Dalgakıran’ın İknc Dünya Savaşı sonrası 

yaşanan zorluklara ek olarak htlal sonrası oluşan sosyo-ekonomk engellere 

ve en önemls toplumun “yapamazsın-başaramazsın” algısına

companies in Turkey with half a century of experience and a 

wide range of projects realized with state-of-the-art technology, has 

gone through what kind of processes to reach its current position? 

Dalgakıran Compressor’s journey to today started in 1965 in a small 25 

square meter workshop in the Thursday Market in Karaköy, Istanbul. 

During this period, my father Ömer Dalgakıran, the founder of Dalgakıran 

Compressor, faced the socio-economic obstacles that emerged after 

the revolution, in addition to the difficulties experienced after the Second 

World War, and most importantly, the “you can’t do it-you can’t

ulaşmak ve yen br büyüme vzyonuyla 

hareket etmek üzere şrketn yönetmne ben 

ve kardeşm dahl olduk. Bu süreçte Dalgakıran 

olarak öyle br noktadaydık k, büyük frmalar 

bzm çn çok güçlü brer rakpt; küçük frmalar 

se bzden çok daha zayıf durumdaydı. Avantaj 

sağlamayan orta br noktada bulunmak kuşkusuz 

bze zarar verecekt ve büyümemz şarttı. 

Bunun çn, bazı planlarım vardı ve bu planlar 

çerçevesnde ş hacmmz büyüterek İMES’te 

daha büyük br üretm alanına taşındık. Burada 

bze br süre sonra basınçlı hava sektöründe lderlk 

getrecek olan vdalı kompresör üretmne 

başladık. Ardından yurt dışı pazarlara açıldık. Bu 

kırılım, yükselşmzde y br vme kazandırırken 

Sancaktepe’de 6.000 m2 büyüklüğündek fabrkamıza 

taşındık ve çmento sektörü çn alçak 

basınç kompresörler üretmne başladık. Bu 

dönemde, hracat yaptığımız ülke sayısı hızla 

arttı. Avrupa’da ve ABD’de ofsler açarak dstrbütör 

ağımızı güçlendrdk. Sonrasında yen br 

kırılım çn üretmmz 2020 yılında 50.000 m2 

büyüklüğündek fabrkamıza taşıdık.

moved to a larger production area in İMES. 

Here, we started the production of screw compressors, 

which would bring us leadership in 

the compressed air sector after a while. Then 

we opened up to foreign markets. While this 

breakthrough gave us a good momentum in 

our rise, we moved to our 6,000 m2 factory in 

Sancaktepe and started producing low pressure 

compressors for the cement industry. During 

this period, the number of countries we export 

to increased rapidly. We strengthened our 

distributor network by opening offices in Europe

our production. We are proud to be one of the top 10 companies in the Machinery and Accessories 

sector in the Top 1000 Exporters Survey conducted by the Turkish Exporters Assembly. 

What are the features that differentiate you from other companies in the sector, and that make 

you stand out? What are the most important factors for your customers to choose you? 

Dalgakıran Compressor is the first company to establish an R&D center in the compressed air sector 

in Turkey. Naturally, what makes us different is that for many years we have been producing durable 

products in line with the needs of our customers and exclusively of our own design. At this point, our 

wide product range, which I can tailor to the needs of many customers from different sectors, brings 

various gains. I can say that our sectoral experience of more than 55 years and our desire to always 

do better guide us here. You can also see our customer-oriented solutions in our 24/7 service. At 

this point, it is very valuable for us to support our customers’ production processes and continuous 

production targets. We closely follow global trends and current international developments and position 

ourselves accordingly. One of our most important issues is the global climate crisis and energy 

conservation. The fact that the compressors we have recently produced, in addition to providing 

high energy efficiency, support the sustainability commitments of our business partners is an indication 

that we have embraced this issue. 

What would you say if we asked you to tell us a little bit about your customer profile? What kind 

of privileges do you provide for customer satisfaction? What advice do you give to your customers 

about purchasing? 

Obviously, it is not easy for us to define a customer profile. Because we have customers from many 

different sectors not only in Turkey but also in more than 130 countries around the world, and although 

this means a great diversity, I can say that each of our customers means a different value 

for us. It is also valuable for us to have the opportunity to understand the expectations of companies 

from different locations, in different sectors, with different growth strategies, and to develop our 

product portfolio in line with these expectations. Wherever they are in the world, as Dalgakıran Compressors, 

we offer our customers uninterrupted and optimum solutions in line with the compressed 

air they need. At this point, our focus is on providing quality products and services and always prioritizing 

customer satisfaction. Consequently, it is our greatest privilege to be accessible in both sales

Prototype technology that the R&D 

department has produced in-house with the 

investments you have made? What are the 

benefits for your production, do you think 

prototype technology is a must for every 

company? 

The prototype process takes place after our 

design and analysis work, which is completed 

in detail and we are able to digitally envision 

many details. Successful completion of the initial 

stages is invaluable to minimize problems and 

get the maximum out of the prototype.As a result 

of our recent investments, we have brought 

the ability to produce prototypes to the R&D department. 

In this context, prototypes give us the 

opportunity to simulate the real user experience 

to understand how the design and product will 

work and perform in different conditions and situations 

in the real world. Producing prototypes 

before the actual production process brings the 

advantage of cost savings and the opportunity 

to identify potential problems with the product. 

With the performance, cooling, vibration, noise, 

flow rate and energy consumption tests that we 

can perform after prototype production, we ensure 

that our compressors will not compromise 

their quality and performance against the harsh 

conditions that may be encountered in the field. 

For this, we have a special area of approximately 

1000 m2 in our factory. I can say that prototype 

technology is a must for companies like 

Dalgakıran that have perfectionist values in production. 

What is the purpose of the Turkish Machinery 

Federation (MAKFED), of which you are 

the chairman, and what are its contributions 

to the sector? 

Turkish Machinery Federation (MAKFED) is a 

Federation established in 2014 to bring together 

the sectoral associations of companies engaged 

in machinery manufacturing. While only 

one association from each sub-sector can be a 

member of MAKFED, regional sector associations, 

clusters and machinery specialized OIZs 

can also participate in the activities as observers. 

Today, MAKFED represents the machinery 

manufacturing sector at the highest level 

with 20 members and 13 observers. MAKFED 

represents Turkey in ORGALIM, the European 

Machinery Confederation, while its member associations 

are actively involved in the relevant 

European supreme organizations.

What are the advantages of the Turkish Machinery Federation 

(MAKFED) association for the machinery industry and 

why should they become members? 

MAKFED is an association that aims to contribute to the progress and development 

of the Turkish Machinery Manufacturing sector together with 

other subsidiary sectors, to play an active role in the formation of all sectoral 

policies and practices related to the machinery industry, to play an 

active role in the development of the sector together with its subsidiary 

industry and to strengthen it in global competition, and to integrate sectoral 

organizations with a broad-democratic participation, solidarity and an 

attitude open to cooperation. 

You must be a member of MAKFED, because: 

• To develop professional unity, assistance, social solidarity, harmony and 

discipline among member associations and their members, 

• To protect the rights and interests of member associations and their 

member professionals by taking into account the criteria of human health 

and public interest service within the framework stipulated by law, 

• We aim to improve their level of professional competence and awareness. 

The basic principle of the Federation is to maximize the solidarity between 

the member associations and their member professionals. 

In 2024, will the Turkish Machinery Federation (MAKFED) have new 

projects and activities for its members? 

MAKFED, whose main objective is to contribute to policy-making processes, 

aims to shed light on the sector through annual reports as well as 

thematic sector reports, and to support decision-making circles. In addition, 

it brings the sector together with all its stakeholders under the name 

of ‘Machinery Summit’ every year. We want to accelerate the sector’s 

process of twin transformation by increasing our cooperation with centers 

and platforms established by universities such as METU and ITU next 

year. TURQUM, which was established to improve the scale structure of 

the machinery sector and support its exports, and the dissemination of 

the machinery quality brand will be among the priorities of 2024. At the 

same time, efforts will be made to increase cooperation with relevant public 

institutions in the fight against unfair competition and informality.

Today, production in ecological balance is considered the basis of development. 

In this context, while carrying out business activities, it should reduce 

its impact on the natural environment to an acceptable level. Measures such 

as the amount of sales of goods and services, profitability, growth, etc. are 

indicators of economic sustainability. As long as the business offers its employees 

a healthy, equitable and decent work environment, it will be a part

and leave a livable world for future generations. Living a just and decent 

life is a fundamental goal for all societies. The concept of sustainability has

businesses that are sensitive to environmental and social responsibility. 

Sustainable management accounting allows businesses to gain competitive 

advantage by responding to these demands. 

Environmental Sustainability: The environment must be protected to 

sustain natural resources. Natural resources need to be used in a way that 

allows them to replenish themselves. Otherwise, businesses cannot provide 

the necessary natural resources to realize their activities. Environmental 

sustainability means that businesses carry out their activities with minimal 

damage to the environment and protect natural resources for future generations. 

Businesses should use resources carefully in all areas of their activities 

and avoid environmental risks. Therefore, practices that harm human life and 

the ecosystem should be avoided in the production process of goods and 

services. For the sustainability of society, businesses should adopt a green 

management and production approach. Sustainable management accounting 

helps businesses understand and control their environmental impact. 

This offers the opportunity to optimize factors such as energy consumption, 

waste management and carbon footprint, providing a winning balance for 

both the environment and the business. Long-term success and resilience 

are achieved when sustainable management accounting helps businesses 

focus on their long-term goals. Using natural resources efficiently, reducing 

social impacts and optimizing business processes provide businesses with 

a strong foundation for sustainable growth. As a result, it is a critical step for 

businesses to adopt a sustainability perspective rather than focusing only

3. Could you tell us about Mona Makine's position 

in the sector? 

Although our company exports and transfers 

technology to many countries with 23 years of 

experience, it can be considered quite young 

compared to other companies with 70-80 

years of experience, which are leaders in the 

field of machine technology. In the beginning, 

there was only Mona Makine focused on production 

and sales. Over time, the success of 

our projects paid off and we were able to make 

a name for ourselves in the cosmetics sector 

with the machines we produced. As of the level 

we have reached, we are proud of achieving 

the Domestic Goods Certificate, which states 

that we are in the category of companies producing 

high-level technology products with a 

71 percent localization rate. Within the scope of 

our exports to many countries abroad, we have 

certificates in accordance with international 

standards. In addition, the fact that many of our 

patent applications are at the approval stage 

is proof that we can produce unique solutions 

that distinguish us from other companies.

Dönüşüm tess le pekştrrken VOC salınımını da mnmze etmştr. 

TEKO was founded by Kadir Mamati in İstanbul by 1974. Our company had started 

its production activities with the industrial aluminum foil and expanded its product 

range especially with providing packing material for dairy and water sectors, specialized in 

the production of flexible packaging founded to that years. In 1996 we moved our machinery 

line which developed with various investments to our CORLU (8.500 sqm CS) plant where we 

have still been operating, our growth rate is being accelerated in that time. 

At the end of 2014, we installed our new UV Flexo Printing Machine and now we can produce 

solvent-free, low migration product to market. With combination of UV Flexo and Co-Extrusion 

technology, we are serving completely Solvent-Free solutions to our customers. By the effect 

of Solvent Recovery Plant İnvesment that we completed by 2015 we minimize our VOC carbon 

footprint. Now sensivity of TEKO to nature crowned.

• DEBLISTER MACHINE 

Avanpak manufactures a comprehensive range of automatic and semiautomatic 

deblister machines that offer speed, efficiency and safety in 

product recovery. These machines, which help to reduce the cost of 

blistered products, enable the recovery of products such as tablets, capsules 

and candies in blister packs in cases such as empty blisters, wrong 

product, lot error, printing error, leak test failure, inventory change. It aims 

to minimise the separation of foil pieces from the blister and damage to the 

product inside the blister. 

• PACKING MACHINES 

It ensures that the products coming out of the vertical or horizontal boxing 

machines are placed in the boxes and packaged in an orderly manner in 

the following process. It is used in businesses to carton the products on 

the production line more quickly and efficiently. It speeds up operations by 

reducing human intervention, which increases productivity and minimises 

work accidents that may occur. 

• CHECKWEIGHER 

It ensures maximum accuracy at high speeds and therefore enables high 

throughput and greater line efficiency. In typical application areas, it helps 

to maintain brand prestige by preventing under- or overfilling. It reduces 

costs thanks to less product loss. There are many other advantages thanks

PRINTING? 

3D baskı, blgsayar ortamında hazırlanan görsellern gerçek br objeye dönüştürülmesne denr. 

Bu şlem gerçekleştren maknelere se üç boyutlu yazıcı sm verlr. Baskılar brçok türde ham 

maddenn kullanımı le yapılablr. Üç boyutlu yazıcılar, değşk türlerde ve farklı teknklerde baskı 

yapablrler. En sık kullanımı, djtal ortamda hazırlanan nesnenn sanal olarak katmanlara bölünerek 

ve her br katmanına ertlen ham madde dökülerek basılmasıdır. 

Üç boyutlu baskı teknolojs 1980’l yıllarda gelşmeye başlamıştır. Fakat günümüzde adının duyulması 

2010’lu yıllara dayanır. İlk 3 boyutlu yazıcı Chuck Hull of 3D Systems tarafından 1984 

yılında üretlmştr. 3D baskı, geleneksel üretm malzemelernden daha az malzemeyle karmaşık 

ürünler üretmenze olanak tanır. 

3D printing is the process of turning computer-generated graphics into actual objects. 

These machines that perform this process are called three-dimensional printers. 

There are many different raw materials that can be used to create prints. Three-dimensional 

printers can print in different types and different techniques. The most popular application is 

printing an object that has been digitally prepared by splitting it into layers virtually and adding 

melted raw material to each layer. 

Three-dimensional printing technology started to develop in the 1980s. But today, its reputation 

dates back to the 2010s. The first 3D printer was produced by Chuck Hull of 3D Systems 

in 1984. 

Complex products can be produced with less material thanks to 3D printing than using conventional 

production methods.

The European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR), which aims to 

raise awareness on waste prevention in European Union countries, 

is being organized for the 15th time this year between November 

18 - 26. Within the scope of the week, which witnesses many events 

across countries, social awareness raising activities are carried out and the 

concepts of waste prevention, reuse and recycling come to the forefront. 

Avrupa Brlğ ülkelernde atık önleme konusunda farkındalık yaratmayı 

amaçlayan “Avrupa Atık Azaltım Haftası” (European Weekfor Waste Reducton 

– EWWR) bu yıl 18 – 26 Kasım tarhler arasında 15’nc kez düzenlenyor. 

Ülkeler çapında pek çok etknlğe sahne olan hafta kapsamında, 

toplumsal blnçlendrme faalyetler yapılırken; atık önleme, yenden kullanım 

ve ger dönüşüm kavramları ön plana çıkıyor. 

Avrupa Atık Azaltım Haftası’nın önemne dkkat çeken Ege Plastk Sanaycler 

Derneğ (EGEPLASDER) Yönetm Kurulu Başkanı ve Plastk Sanaycler 

Federasyonu (PLASFED) Yönetm Kurulu Başkan Yardımcısı Şener Gençer, 

“Ülkemzde ‘Sıfır Atık’ ve benzer özgün projeler uygulansa da atıkların

We observe that some of our local administrators make recommendations 

summarized in the sentence ‘Don’t consume 

plastic’, which is not feasible in today’s world. At this point, our 

suggestion and expectation is that local governments take a higher level 

of responsibility for the separation and recycling of waste at source. We 

are ready to work hand in hand as raw material producers, industrialists 

and recyclers to raise this awareness. We even think that the Ministry of 

National Education, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate 

Change and the Ministry of Health should be partners in this unity.” 

PLASTIC CONSUMPTION TO TRIPLE BY 2050 

Stating that plastic consumption, which is 370 million tons per year in 

the world today, is expected to exceed 1 billion tons in 2050, Şener 

Gençer pointed out that the global recycling sector is expected to meet 

approximately 60% of this demand in 2050. 

Bazı yerel yönetclermzn ‘Plastk tüketmeyn’ cümlesyle özetlenen, 

bugünün dünyasında uygulanması mümkün olmayan önerlerde bulunduklarını 

gözlemlyoruz. Bu noktada önermz ve beklentmz; atıkların kaynağında 

ayrıştırılması ve ger dönüşümünde yerel yönetmlermzn daha 

yüksek sevyede sorumluluk almalarıdır. Bu blnçlenme ve farkındalığın 

oluşması çn hammadde üretcler, sanaycler ve ger dönüşümcüler 

olarak el ele vermeye hazırız. Hatta bu brlktelğe Mll Eğtm Bakanlığı, 

Çevre, Şehrclk ve İklm Değşklğ Bakanlığı ve Sağlık Bakanlığı’nın da 

ortak olması gerektğn düşünüyoruz.” 

PLASTİK TÜKETİMİ 2050’YE KADAR ÜÇ KATINA ÇIKACAK 

Bugün dünyada yılda 370 mlyon ton olan plastk tüketmnn, 2050 yılında 

1 mlyar tonu geçmesnn beklendğn belrten Şener Gençer, küresel ger 

dönüşüm sektörünün se 2050’dek bu talebn yaklaşık %60’ını karşılayacağının 

öngörüldüğüne şaret ett. 

Türkye’nn ger dönüşüm sanays en güçlü ülkelern başında geldğn 

hatırlatan Gençer, sektörün her yıl ülke ekonomsne en az 7,5 mlyar dolar 

sevyesnde katkı sağladığını kaydett. 

EGEPLASDER Yönetm Kurulu Başkanı Şener Gençer, sözlern şöyle sürdürdü: 

“Atıklarımızı kaynağında ayrıştırıp ger dönüşüme kazandırılarak hem doğaya 

hem de döngüsel ekonomye destek olmamız gerekyor. Ger dönüşüm 

blncnn ülkemze ve doğamıza karşı sahp olduğumuz en büyük 

sorumluluklardan br olduğunu unutmayalım. Yaşamın her anında ve her 

alanında olan plastkler, defalarca ger dönüştürüleblen özellkler le son 

derece çevrec malzemelerdr. Hammaddeden nha ürüne dönüşümler 

sırasında muadl olan malzemelere göre çok daha düşük enerj taleb ve 

emsyon gücüne sahptrler. 

Reminding that Turkey is one of the countries with the strongest recycling 

industry, Gençer noted that the sector contributes at least 7.5 billion dollars 

to the national economy every year. 

Şener Gençer, Chairman of EGEPLASDER Board of Directors, continued 

his words as follows: 

“We need to support both nature and the circular economy by separating 

our waste at its source and recycling it. Let’s not forget that recycling 

awareness is one of the biggest responsibilities we have towards our 

country and nature. 

Plastics, which are in every moment and in every area of life, are extremely 

environmentally friendly materials with their properties that can 

be recycled many times over. 

During their transformation from raw material to final product, they have 

much lower energy demand and emission power than equivalent materials. 

To date, the plastics industry has not developed plastic bottles that 

float on their own and jump into rivers and seas. The plastics we see 

today in the seas, rivers and habitats, and the plastics we are subjected 

to unfair criticism, are the waste of unconscious people.”

Ambalaj sektörü, Ambalaj Sanaycler Derneğ’nn (ASD) düzenledğ ‘Ambalaj 

Sanaynn Sürdürüleblrlk Yol Hartası’ temalı kongrede, 7 - 8 Aralık tarhlernde 

İstanbul’da br araya geld. 2 ayrı salonda, toplam 14 oturum gerçekleştrlen kongrede; 

13 ülkeden 48 konuşmacı ve 1000’e yakın katılımcı yer aldı. ‘ASD Ambalaj Kongres 

2023 – II. Uluslararası Ambalaj Sanay Kongres’ne ASD Başkanı Zek Sarıbekr ev 

sahplğnde, Dünya Ambalaj Örgütü (WPO) Başkanı Lucana Pellegrno ve çok 

sayıda davetl katıldı. Kongre kapsamında gerçekleştrlen kapanış oturumunda 

Zek Sarıbekr, Ellen MacArtur Vakfı Kıdeml Poltka Görevls Bahar Koyuncu, Zürh 

Uygulamalı Blmler Ünverstes Gıda ve İçecek İnovasyon Ensttüsü Başkan 

Yardımcısı, Gıda İşleme ve Paketleme Araştırma Merkez Başkanı Prof. Dr. Selçuk 

Yıldırım ve ASD Genel Sekreter Aslıhan Arıkan konuşmacı olarak yer aldı. 2 gün 

süren kongre hakkında değerlendrmelerde bulunan Zek Sarıbekr, “Kongremzde, 

sürdürüleblr, döngüsel, katma değerl üretm ve hracat çn; ambalaj sanayndek 

yenlkler, sektörün amaçlarını ve geleceğn brlkte değerlendrdk. Cumhuryetmzn 

kuruluşunun 100. yılını gururla kutladığımız 2023’te böyle br kongre düzenleyerek, 

sektörümüzü br araya getrmenn mutluluğunu yaşıyoruz.” ded.

ASD Başkanı Zek Sarıbekr, ambalaj sektöründe sürdürüleblr büyüme çn çevresel, 

sosyal ve kültürel dönüşümün hedeflenmes gerektğn belrtt. Üretm süreçlernn 

kaynak vermllğn en üst sevyede tutan, sürdürüleblr br üretm model olan döngüsel 

ekonom temel üzerne kurulması gerektğne vurgu yapan Zek Sarıbekr, 

“Gelen müşter talepler farklılaşıyor, sadece maknelermz değl ş yapış şeklmz de 

djtalleşyor. Sektörümüzün tüm bunlara ayak uydurması gerekyor. Amaçlarımızı 

doğru belrlemel, geçmşten çıkardığımız derslerle lerlemelyz. 

The packaging industry came together in Istanbul on 7 - 8 December at 

the congress themed ‘Sustainability Roadmap of the Packaging Industry’ 

organised by the Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD). 

A total of 14 sessions were held in 2 separate halls, with 48 speakers from 13 

countries and nearly 1000 participants. ‘ASD Packaging Congress 2023 - II. 

International Packaging Industry Congress’ was hosted by ASD President Zeki 

Sarıbekir and attended by World Packaging Organisation (WPO) President Luciana 

Pellegrino and many guests. Zeki Sarıbekir, Ellen MacArtur Foundation Senior 

Policy Officer Bahar Koyuncu, Vice President of the Zurich University of Applied 

Sciences Food and Beverage Innovation Institute and Head of Food Processing 

and Packaging Research Centre Prof. Dr. Selçuk Yıldırım and ASD Secretary 

General Aslıhan Arıkan took part in the closing session as speakers. Commenting 

on the 2-day congress, Zeki Sarıbekir said, “In our congress, we evaluated the 

innovations in the packaging industry, the objectives and the future of the sector 

together for sustainable, cyclical, value-added production and export. We are 

happy to bring our sector together by organising such a congress in 2023, when 

we proudly celebrate the 100th anniversary of the foundation of our Republic.” 

‘WE AIM TRANSFORMATION FOR SUSTAINABLE GROWTH’ 

ASD President Zeki Sarıbekir stated that environmental, social and cultural transformation 

should be targeted for sustainable growth in the packaging industry. 

Emphasising that production processes should be established on the basis of 

circular economy, a sustainable production model that keeps resource efficiency 

at the highest level, Zeki Sarıbekir said, “Customer demands are differentiating, 

not only our machines but also the way we do business is digitalising.

Kongrenn kapanış oturumunda da yer alan Ellen MacArtur Vakfı Kıdeml 

Poltka Görevls Bahar Koyuncu, “Vakıf olarak ‘Yenden Kullanım Devr’ çağrısı 

yaptık. Çünkü ‘Küresel Taahhüdün Beş Yılı’ raporumuzdak son bulgular,

AMBALAJLI ÜRÜN ÇEVREYE VE ÜLKE EKONOMİSİNE KATKI SAĞLIYOR 

Ambalajın çerdğ ürün hakkında blg veren; ürünü koruyan, taşıyan ve tüketcye 

ulaştıran br araç olduğunu vurgulayan ASD, tüm paydaşların bütüncül 

br yaklaşımla hareket etmes gerektğn savunuyor. Kuzey Amerka 

ve Avrupa ülkelerndek sraf edlen gıda le dünya nüfusunun tamamının 

doyurulableceğ dda edlyor. Kaynaklarımızın sınırlılığı dkkate alındığında; 

üretmden son kullanıcıya kadar tam koruma sağlayan ambalajlı ürünler 

özellkle gıdaların hjyenk br şeklde tüketcye ulaşmasını mümkün kılıyor. 

İhtyacımız olan ambalajın çevreye etks düşünülerek üretlmes gerekyor. 

Ambalajlı ürün kullanıldıktan sonra ger dönüşüm sürecne dahl edldğnde 

çevreye ve ülke ekonomsne katkı sağlıyor. ASD, sektörün tüm paydaşlarının 

desteğyle ger dönüşümlü çevre dostu ambalajlara odaklanılmasının 

dünyanın sürdürüleblrlğ çn öneml olduğunu vurguluyor. 

Our industry needs to keep up with all this. We should set our 

goals correctly and move forward with the lessons we have learnt 

from the past. We closely follow the change and transformation 

and continue our efforts to ensure that our industry catches up with this 

change and transformation. As ASD, we aim to contribute to the development 

of the packaging sector and related industries, which is a common area for 

all industries in the world. As a country, we are in a very strong position in 

the packaging industry worldwide. Considering the current conditions, we 

see that we have much greater potential when the geographical location, 

production capacity, qualified labor force and competitive structure of our 

country are added. In the changing world order, concerns for the future are 

increasing. As the packaging industry, we aim to minimise these concerns. That 

is why we have determined the main theme of our congress as ‘Sustainability 

Roadmap of the Packaging Industry’.” 

‘WE SHOULD EMBRACE REUSE AND RECYCLING’ 

Bahar Koyuncu, Senior Policy Officer of the Ellen MacArtur Foundation, who also 

took part in the closing session of the congress, said: “As the Foundation, we called 

for a ‘Age of Reusability’. Because the latest findings in our ‘Five Years of Global 

Commitment’ report show that without a significant shift towards reuse, the use 

of raw plastics in packaging worldwide is unlikely to fall below current levels before 

2050. Embracing reuse gives us the opportunity to tackle plastic pollution, alleviate 

pressure on our natural resources and take steps towards net zero. Of course, no 

single organisation can bring about the necessary change alone; it will require a 

concerted effort from businesses, policymakers and financial institutions.”Prof. Dr. 

Selçuk Yıldırım, Vice President of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences Food 

and Beverage Innovation Institute and Head of the Food Processing and Packaging 

Research Centre, stated that they are working to shorten the extinction period of 

bio-based materials and said, “Those that will contribute to the economy are biodegradable. 

If we collect them correctly and recycle them, then we will contribute 

to the economy. Their disappearance without creating more negative effects may 

make sense for countries that do not have collection systems or whose systems 

are not yet fully organised.” ASD Packaging Congress 2023 brought together the 

packaging industry and the production branches supporting the sector, researchers 

and non-governmental organisations. With the aim of contributing to the development 

of the packaging industry and related industries, sessions on Circular 

Economy and Recycling, Packaging Printing Technologies, Packaging Materials 

and Sustainable Production, Innovations in Food Packaging, Quality in Packaging 

and Current Legislation, New Studies in Packaging Industry, Packaging Industry in 

Türkiye and the World, Sustainable Packaging Design and Marketing, Industry 4.0 

and Digitalisation, Recovery of Packaging Waste were held respectively. 

PACKAGED PRODUCT CONTRIBUTES TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND NATIONAL 

ECONOMY 

Emphasising that packaging is a tool that provides information about the product it 

contains, protects, carries and delivers the product to the consumer, ASD argues 

that all stakeholders should act with a holistic approach. It is claimed that the entire 

world population can be fed with the wasted food in North America and European 

countries. Considering the limitation of our resources, packaged products that provide 

full protection from production to the end user make it possible for food to reach the 

consumer in a hygienic way. The packaging we need should be produced considering 

its impact on the environment. When the packaged product is included in the recycling 

process after use, it contributes to the environment and the national economy. ASD 

emphasises that focusing on recyclable environmentally friendly packaging with the 

support of all stakeholders of the sector is important for the sustainability of the world. 

About Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) 

ASD, which brings together the major packaging industrialists in Türkiye, was 

founded in 1992 by 39 packaging manufacturers. The aim of ASD, which has 

253 members as of December 2023, is to contribute to the development of

vurguluyor. Prof. Dr. Cafer Tayyar Şaşmaz: “Aşıların yapılmasıyla kşler 

bulaşıcı hastalığı geçrmeden o hastalığa karşı bağışık hale gelmektedr. 

Bu çok öneml br sağlık kazanımıdır. Çünkü aşılar kullanılmaya başlanmadan 

önce, nsanlar çocukluk yaş gruplarında ççek, çocuk felc, kızamık, 

kızamıkçık, kabakulak, tetanoz, dfter, boğmaca gb aşılar le aşı le önleneblr 

hastalıklara yakalanıp hasta olurlardı. 

Ölüme varan ağır hastalıklar sonrasında kş yaşarsa o hastalığa karşı bağışıklık 

kazanırdı. Oysak aşılar sayesnde böyle br hastalığa yakalanmadan 

bağışık hale gelyorsunuz, hastalık acısı ya da hastalığa bağlı sakatlık yaşamıyorsunuz. 

Aşılar sayesnde bugün ülkemzde çocuk felc, dfter, bebeklk 

dönem tetanoz hastalığı görülmüyor. 1970’l yıllara kıyasla kızamık, kızamıkçık, 

kabakulak hastalığı yüzde 99 oranında, hepatt A, tetanoz, suççeğ 

yüzde 80 oranında azalmıştır. Nüfus ve kalabalık yaşamın bu kadar arttığı 

günümüzde aşılar olmasaydı aşı le önleneblr hastalık salgınlarından yılda 

on bnlerce nsanımızın ölmes ya da sakat kalmasını önleyemezdk. Blyorsunuz 

ççek hastalığı 1978 yılından ber dünyada görülmüyor. 

Ççek hastalığı bulaştırıcılığı, sakat bırakma ya da öldürme olasılığı yüksek br bulaşıcı 

hastalıktır. Bugün ççek hastalığına yakalanma korkusu olmadan yaşıyoruz. 

Bunu 20. yüzyılda bütün dünyada yaygın olarak yapılan ççek aşısına borçluyuz. 

Emphasizing the importance of vaccination services in preventing 

vaccine-preventable diseases, Prof. Dr. Caferi Tayyar Sasmaz stated 

that if infectious diseases can be partially controlled both in our country 

and globally today, the first reason is access to clean and safe drinking 

water, the widespread adoption of toilet hygiene, and the second reason is 

immunization services against diseases that can be prevented by vaccines. 

He highlighted the significance of vaccination, explaining that getting vaccinated 

makes individuals immune to a contagious disease without actually 

contracting it, which is a significant health achievement. Before vaccines 

were widely used, people often contracted and fell ill with vaccine-preventable 

diseases such as smallpox, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, mumps, tetanus, 

diphtheria, and pertussis during childhood. If they survived these severe 

diseases, they would become immune to them. Vaccines, on the other 

hand, allow individuals to become immune to such diseases without getting 

ill or experiencing the pain and suffering associated with these illnesses. 

Thanks to vaccines, childhood polio, diphtheria, and neonatal tetanus have 

disappeared in our country. Compared to the 1970s, the incidence of 

measles, rubella, mumps has decreased by 99%, and hepatitis A, tetanus, 

chickenpox have decreased by 80%. In today’s world with a growing population 

and increased density, without vaccines, we wouldn’t have been able 

to prevent the deaths or disabilities of tens of thousands of people each 

year from vaccine-preventable disease epidemics. For example, smallpox 

has not been seen worldwide since 1978. Smallpox is a highly contagious 

disease with a high probability of transmission, disability, or death. Today, 

we live without the fear of smallpox, and we owe this to the smallpox vaccine 

that was widely administered around the world in the 20th century.

brden çok önlem uygulanmış olsa da Covd-19 aşılarının gelştrlmes 

ve yaygın olarak kullanımı en güçlü ve en etkl uygulama olmuştur dyen 

Prof. Dr. Cafer Tayyar Şaşmaz; “Covd-19 aşısının zamanında gelştrlemeseyd 

gözlenen Covd-19 hastalık ve ölümlernden çok daha fazlasını 

göreceğmz kaçınılmazdı. Halhazırda küresel klm krz nedenyle benzer 

bulaşıcı hastalık salgın ve pandemsnn ortaya çıkma rsknn çok 

arttığı br döneme gryoruz. Bu nedenle, dünya olarak aşı gelştrme ve 

uygulamaya her zamanknden daha fazla htyacımız var” ded. 

Genşletlmş Bağışıklama Programı aşı le önleneblr hastalıkların 

kontrolünde br başarı hkayesdr ve sırada Yaşam Boyu Bağışıklama 

Programı var 

Prof. Dr. Cafer Tayyar Şaşmaz; “Yaşam Boyu Bağışıklama Programı Dünya 

Sağlık Örgütü’nün br önersdr. Genşletlmş Bağışıklama Programı 

ülkeler arasında farklı düzeylerde olmakla beraber dünyada yaygın olarak 

uygulanmaktadır. Bu program le her yıl dünyada 5 yaş altında 2.5 mlyon 

çocuk ölümünün önlendğ, aşısı eksk olan çocuklarında aşılandığı takdrde 

2 mlyon çocuk ölümünün daha önlenebleceğ bldrlmektedr. Bu 

aşı le önleneblr hastalıkların kontrolünde br başarı hkayesdr. Gelnen 

noktada ulusal ve uluslararası sağlık örgütler ve lgl uzmanlık dernekler 

ergenler çn, gebeler çn, yaşlılar le rsk grubunda olanlar çn de ayrı ayrı 

aşılama önerler yapmaktadır ve bu önerler uygulanmaktadır. Ancak bu 

önerlen uygulamaların hçbr çocukluk aşı programındak gb sıkı br şeklde 

uygulanıp, zlenerek kontrol edlmemektedr. Yaşam Boyu Bağışıklama 

Programı gereğnce br nsan doğduğu andan ölünceye kadar bell yaşlarda 

önerlen aşıların yapılması ve aşılama yönünden bütün nsanların zlenmes 

önerlmektedr. Başka br fadeyle Yaşam Boyu Bağışıklama Programı, 

hal hazırda uygulanan çocukluk yaş grubu aşı pratğnn bütün yaş grubunu 

kapsayacak şeklde planlanması ve uygulanmasıdır. Her ülkenn artık 

bu programa geçmek çn hazırlık yapması ve geçmes gerekr” ded. 

The same applies to polio. Thanks to extensive polio vaccination 

campaigns, no cases of polio have been seen in our country 

since 1998. Currently, only Afghanistan and Pakistan still have cases 

of this disease. If vaccination coverage can be increased to a sufficient 

level there, polio will also disappear, and it will become the second infectious 

disease to be completely eradicated globally (after smallpox). Recently, 

we experienced the Covid-19 pandemic from 2019 to 2023. We 

faced severe losses both socially and economically, and the effects are 

still ongoing. Despite multiple measures taken to control and prevent it 

from the outset of the pandemic, the development and widespread use 

of Covid-19 vaccines has proven to be the most potent and effective tool. 

Prof. Dr. Caferi Tayyar Sasmaz stressed that if Covid-19 vaccines had not 

been developed in time, we would have experienced far more cases and 

deaths from Covid-19. As the global climate crisis intensifies, the risk of 

similar infectious disease outbreaks and pandemics is increasing. Therefore, 

the world needs vaccines more than ever for development and implementation. 

The Expanded Immunization Program is a success story in controlling 

vaccine-preventable diseases, and the next step is the Lifelong 

Immunization Program. 

Prof. Dr. Caferi Tayyar Sasmaz explained that the “Lifelong Immunization 

Program” is a proposal from the World Health Organization. The Expanded 

Immunization Program is widely implemented worldwide, even though 

it may vary between countries. With this program, it is reported that 2.5 

million children under the age of 5 die each year, and if unvaccinated 

children are vaccinated, 2 million more child deaths could be prevented. 

It is a success story in the control of vaccine-preventable diseases. 

At this point, national and international health organizations and relevant 

professional associations make separate vaccination recommendations 

for adolescents, pregnant women, the elderly, and those at risk, and 

these recommendations are being implemented. However, none of these 

recommended practices are applied, monitored, and controlled as rigorously 

as childhood vaccination programs. In line with the Lifelong Immunization 

Program, it is recommended that individuals receive recommended 

vaccines at certain ages from birth to death, and all individuals 

are monitored for vaccination. In other words, the “Lifelong Immunization 

Program” is the planning and implementation of the currently practiced 

childhood vaccination program to cover all age groups. It is necessary for 

every country to prepare and transition to this program.

Çocukluk çağı aşıları konusunda halkta farkındalık düzey yüksek, erşkn aşılarda düşük 

Çocukluk çağı bağışıklama programı olan Genşletlmş Bağışıklama Programı’nın ülkemzde 2010 

yılına kadar Sağlık Ocakları, bu tarhten sonrada Ale Sağlığı Merkezler tarafından yürütüldüğünü 

dle getren Prof. Dr. Cafer Tayyar Şaşmaz şunları söyled: 

“Türkye Dünya ölçeğnde bu programı hedeflere uygun başarılı br şeklde yürütmektedr. Çocukluk 

çağı aşılar konusunda vatandaşlarımız arasında farkındalık düzey ydr. Bununla beraber erşkn yaş 

grubunda aynı duyarlılık bulunmamaktadır. Aşılar toplumsal düzeyde yaygın kullanılmaya başlanmadan 

önce aşı le önleneblr hastalıkların hemen tamamı çocukluk yaş grubunda geçrlmekte ve sık 

sık salgınlar olmaktaydı. Bu salgınlarda ölüm oranları ve sağ kalanlarda da sakat kalma rsk çok yüksekt. 

Bu dönemde kş hastalığı geçrp yleşrse yaşadığı sürece o hastalığa bağışık olarak yaşarlardı 

ve erşkn yaş gruplarında aşı le önleneblr hastalıklar sıklıkla gözlenmezd. Bu nedenle aşıların yaygın 

olarak kullanımı çocukluk yaş grubunda oldu. Aşılama kapsayıcılık hızları arttıkça aşı le önleneblr hastalıklar 

azalmaya başladı. Aşılamanın toplumsal düzeyde etksnn ortaya çıkablmes çn aşı kapsayıcılık 

hızının yüksek tutulması gerekmektedr. Günümüzde hastalıktan hastalığa ve aşının koruyuculuk 

etksyle değşmekle beraber, hedef popülasyonun yüzde 90-95’ aşılanablrse toplumsal düzeyde 

bağışıklık sağlanablmektedr. Br hastalığa karşı toplumsal düzeyde bağışıklığın gelşmes, hastalık etkennn 

toplumdan uzaklaşmasını sağlamaktadır. Ülkemzde 2000’l yılların başından tbaren aşılama 

kapsayıcılık hızlarının daha da artması le aşı le önleneblr hastalıklarda toplumsal düzeyde bağışıklık 

sağlanmış ve halen de sürdürülmektedr. Burada görev alan yönetc ve sağlık çalışanlarına, Ale Sağlığı 

Merkez doktorları, ebe, sağlık memuru ve hemşrelerne şükranlarımızı sunuyoruz.” 

Prof. Dr. Cafer Tayyar Şaşmaz, çocukluk çağlarında yapılan aşılamaların yaygınlaşması le önleneblr 

hastalıkların toplumda daha seyrek görüldüğünü vurguladı ve sıraladı: 

1. Aşı olup bağışıklık gelşen kşlerde bağışıklık zamanla azalır, 

2. Aşı olup bağışıklık gelşmeyen kşler yetşkn yaş grubuna geçer ve sayıları zamanla artar, 

3. Aşı olmayıp ya da aşılanamayıp bağışık olmayan kşler yetşkn yaş grubuna geçer ve sayıları 

zamanla artar ve 

4. Ortalama yaşın artması le beraber bağışıklık sstem de zayıflar. 

Yukarıdak nedenlerle orta ve ler yaşlarda da aşı le önleneblr hastalıklar görülmeye başlar. Günümüzde 

bu dönem yaşamaktayız. Bu nedenlerle erşkn ve ler yaş grubunda olan nsanların 

da,hem bağışıklığı azalan kşlern bağışıklığını artırmak hem de br şeklde bağışık olmayan kşlern 

bağışık hale getrlmes çn önerlen aşılarla aşılanmaları gerekmektedr. 

Aşı ve bağışıklama hzmetlernn bulaşıcı hastalıklara karşı korunmada en etkl, en güvenl ve 

en ekonomk sağlık hzmet olduğunun altını çzen Prof. Dr. Cafer Tayyar Şaşmaz sözlern şöyle 

noktaladı: “Bugün aşıların sayesnde ççek, çocuk felc, kızamık vb. çok bulaştırıcı ve öldürücü 

hastalıklara yakalanma korkusu olmadan güvenle yaşayablyoruz. Hem bu güvenl ortamı sürdüreblmemz 

hem de gelecekte olası salgın ve pandemlere karşı korunablmek çn aşı ve bağışıklama 

hzmetlerne daha fazla önem vermemz gerekr. Toplumda hem çocukluk hem de erşknlk 

dönemnde aşının gerekllğ üzerne farkındalığı ve aşıya olan güven artırmamız gerekr. Br başka 

çok öneml konu se ülke olarak aşı gelştrme ve üretme teknolojsne yatırım yapmamız ve kend 

aşılarımızı kendmz üretmemz gerektğdr.” 

Awareness of childhood vaccinations 

is high among the public, while 

awareness of adult vaccinations is low 

Prof. Dr. Caferi Tayyar Sasmaz pointed out 

that the success and prevalence of childhood 

immunization programs in Turkey have led to 

high awareness of childhood vaccines among 

the public. However, the same level of awareness 

is not present in the adult population. The 

reasons behind this are that in the past, people 

would often contract and become ill from 

vaccine-preventable diseases during childhood 

before vaccines were widely used, and as a 

result, this age group developed immunity to 

these diseases. As vaccination rates increased, 

the incidence of vaccine-preventable diseases 

decreased, and to achieve a community level 

of immunity, vaccination coverage rates had 

to be kept high. Today, the effect of vaccination 

depends on the specific disease and the 

protective efficacy of the vaccine. In order to 

achieve community immunity at the societal 

level, 90-95% of the target population must 

be vaccinated. The development of community 

immunity against a disease helps to remove the 

disease agent from the community. 

Since the early 2000s, vaccination coverage 

rates have been increasing, and community immunity 

against vaccine-preventable diseases 

has been achieved in Turkey and is still being 

maintained. In light of these achievements, 

the importance of vaccines and immunization 

services for preventing future outbreaks and 

pandemics, as well as continuing to provide 

a safe environment, is crucial. To further enhance 

awareness of the necessity of vaccines 

and trust in them, both during childhood and 

adulthood, and for the country to invest in vaccine 

development and production technologies 

to produce its vaccines. Prof. Dr. Caferi Tayyar 

Sasmaz concluded by emphasizing the importance 

of these efforts.

first settlements, Çatalhöyük. We put Çatalhöyük 

first on our list. Taking you back about 9000 years, 

this place throws light on the Neolithic period. Since 

2012, it has been on the UNESCO World Heritage 

List. Here you can see humanity’s first ways of living, 

settling and sheltering and house architecture. 

Konya Sultan Selm Cam 

(Selmye Cam) - (Selmye Mosque) 

Şehzade Selm tarafından yaptırılan bu cam Klask Osmanlı mmarsnn en güzel örneklernden brsdr. 1558 yılında II. Selm tarafından sancak bey 

görev yaparken yaptırılmıştır. Cam, Mmar Snan’ın baş mmar olarak görev yaptığı yapıtlardan brs olmasına rağmen hçbr otobyografsnde yer almamasıyla 

da ayrıca dkkat çekcdr. Camnn etrafında bulunan yerel satıcılardan alışverş yaparak camnn muhteşem görüntüsünü seyredeblrsnz. 

Built by Prince Selim, this mosque is one of the most beautiful examples of classical Ottoman architecture. It was built in 1558 by Selim II 

while he was serving as a banner lord. The mosque is also noteworthy in that it is not included in any of Sinan the Architect’s autobiographies, 

despite being one of the works for which he served as chief architect. You can shop from the local vendors around the mosque and watch 

the magnificent view of the mosque.

It was built in 1274 by Sultan Veled, the son of Mevlana Celaleddin 

Rumi. If you are going to Konya, you should definitely visit Mevlana
