In line with the data they obtain by closely following the changes in consumer habits, brands

take care to offer their customers a complete experience. When purchasing a product they need,

consumers compare brands and choose the one that suits them best. In this process, correctly

and clearly labeled products are of great importance. Quality labels that clearly indicate the

product content enable customers to quickly obtain information about the product and are also

effective in its preference.

Quality packaging makes a product stand out among other brands, which gives it a competitive

advantage. Producers who prefer quality packaging are able to stand out with their products

and gain a place in the memory of consumers with their quality. Therefore, both label and

packaging are important elements that strengthen the perception of brands in the eyes of

consumers.

Laboratorios BABE introduced its new Depigment+ series

with a special event in Istanbul. In this meeting with the

participation of pharmacists and celebrities, innovative

solutions for skin health were discovered.

Held on October 16 at Feriye, one of Istanbul’s favorite venues,

the special event drew attention with the motto “What You See

and What You Cannot See”. Laboratorios BABE, a brand known

for the importance it attaches to skin health, introduced its new

Depigment+ series for the first time in Türkiye. Pharmacists,

celebrities and influencers who attended the event had the

opportunity to experience the innovative formulas of the series.

The event started with a warm welcome followed by an elegant

and delicious brunch. BABE Chairman Kamber Çal and CEO

Cristina Bordils Montero gave a “Welcome” speech emphasizing

the brand’s vision and the importance of the Turkish market

for global growth. Spanish Brand Strategist Gemma Martinez

Chust presented BABE’s approach to skin health and the three

products of the Depigment+ line. The Q&A session following

the presentation gave the participants the opportunity to ask

questions about the topics they were curious about.

The skin analysis and experience area created at the end of the

event attracted great interest. Participants analyzed their skin

structure under expert guidance and experienced the effects of

the products on their skin.

Laboratorios BABE, yeni Depigment+ serisini İstanbul’da

düzenlediği özel etkinlikle tanıttı. Eczacılar ve ünlü isimlerin

katılımıyla gerçekleşen bu buluşmada, cilt sağlığına dair

yenilikçi çözümler keşfedildi.

16 Ekim’de İstanbul’un gözde mekanlarından Feriye’de

gerçekleştirilen özel davet, “Gördükleriniz ve Göremedikleriniz”

mottosuyla dikkat çekti. Laboratorios BABE, cilt sağlığına

verdiği önemle bilinen bir marka olarak, yeni Depigment+

serisini Türkiye’de ilk kez tanıttı. Davete katılan eczacılar,

ünlü isimler ve influencerlar, serinin yenilikçi formüllerini

deneyimleme fırsatı buldular.

Etkinlik, sıcak bir karşılamanın ardından zarif ve lezzetli bir

brunch ile başladı. Ardından BABE Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı

Kamber Çal ve CEO Cristina Bordils Montero, markanın

vizyonunu ve Türkiye pazarının global büyüme için önemini

vurgulayan bir “Hoş Geldiniz” konuşması yaptılar. İspanyol

Marka Stratejisti Gemma Martinez Chust’un sunumuyla,

BABE’nin cilt sağlığına dair yaklaşımı ve Depigment+ serisinin

üç ürünü detaylandırıldı. Sunumun ardından gerçekleşen sorucevap

bölümü, katılımcılara merak ettikleri konular hakkında

sorular sorma fırsatı sundu.

Etkinliğin sonunda oluşturulan cilt analizi ve deneyim alanı

büyük ilgi gördü. Katılımcılar, uzman rehberliğinde cilt

yapılarını analiz ederek, ürünlerin ciltleri üzerindeki etkilerini

deneyimlediler.

Dizdaroğlu, who has served as the Country Finance Director

for over a decade, has been appointed as the Finance Director

for the L’Oréal SAPMENA Consumer Products Division,

covering the South Asia Pacific, Middle East, and North

After building his career in finance within multinational

companies, Onur Dizdaroğlu began his journey at L’Oréal in

2004 as the Finance Controller for the Consumer Products

Division (CPD) in Türkiye. He subsequently took on various

global and local roles within the group, including Finance

Director for Central Asia and Europe CPD and Global Media

Finance Director for CPD.

Throughout his 20-year career at L’Oréal, Dizdaroğlu has

dedicated the last 10 years to the role of Country Finance

Director for L’Oréal Türkiye. He is now stepping into his

Turkish Plastics Industrialists are increasing their

preparations for Europe’s new recycling regulations. Yavuz

Eroğlu, President of PAGEV, emphasizes that Türkiye’s

success in the field of plastic packaging has attracted the

attention of Europe and this situation has changed the

dynamics in the sector.

Yavuz Eroğlu, President of the Turkish Plastics Industrialists

Research Development and Education Foundation (PAGEV),

stated that the European Union must comply with the recycling

requirements of plastic packaging used in exported products. “If

the packaging does not comply with the EU’s recycling criteria,

the product will not be sold to Europe. However, Türkiye is

one of the world’s pioneers in recycled plastic packaging. Our

progress in this field has attracted the attention of Europe. I can

say that Europe did not expect this situation because we have

made serious investments in this field. For this reason, we can

say that ‘Europe is scared of the Turkish packaging sector’.”

The 8th PAGEV International Plastics Packaging Congress was

organized with the theme of “the European Reality in Packaging

in Light of New Regulations and Emerging Global Markets”

Eroğlu emphasized that the congress has a critical importance

for packaging and especially for the plastic packaging sector.

Stating that Türkiye is the second largest producer of plastic

products in Europe and the sixth largest in the world, Eroğlu

said, “11 million tons of plastic products are produced annually

in our country; 40 percent of this goes to the packaging sector.

Packaging has a very special place in the plastics industry. And

70 percent of packaging exports consist of plastic packaging.”

Türk Plastik Sanayicileri, Avrupa’nın yeni geri dönüşüm

regülasyonları karşısında hazırlıklarını artırıyor. PAGEV

Başkanı Yavuz Eroğlu, Türkiye’nin plastik ambalaj alanındaki

başarısının Avrupa’nın dikkatini çektiğini ve bu durumun

sektördeki dinamikleri değiştirdiğini vurguluyor.

Türk Plastik Sanayicileri Araştırma Geliştirme ve Eğitim Vakfı

(PAGEV) Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Yavuz Eroğlu, Avrupa

Birliği’nin ihraç edilen ürünlerde kullanılan plastik ambalajların

geri dönüşüm şartlarına uyması gerektiğini belirtti. Eroğlu, “Eğer

ambalaj, AB’nin geri dönüşüm kriterlerine uygun değilse, ürün

Avrupa’ya satılamayacak. Ancak Türkiye, geri dönüştürülmüş

plastik ambalajda dünyanın öncülerinden biri. Bu alandaki

ilerlememiz, Avrupa’nın dikkatini çekmiş durumda. Avrupa’nın

bu durumu beklemediğini söyleyebilirim; çünkü biz bu alanda

ciddi yatırımlar yaptık. Bu nedenle, ‘Avrupa’yı Türk ambalaj

sektörü korkusu sardı’ diyebiliriz.” ifadelerini kullandı.

8’inci PAGEV Uluslararası Plastik Ambalaj Kongresi, ‘Yeni

Regülasyonlar Işığında Ambalajda Avrupa Gerçeği ve Gelişen

Global Pazarlar’ temasıyla düzenlendi. Eroğlu, kongrenin

ambalaj ve özellikle plastik ambalaj sektörü için kritik bir öneme

sahip olduğunu vurguladı. Türkiye’nin, Avrupa’da en büyük

ikinci, dünyada ise en büyük altıncı plastik mamul üreticisi

olduğunu belirten Eroğlu, “Ülkemizde yıllık 11 milyon ton

plastik mamul üretiliyor; bunun yüzde 40’ı ambalaj sektörüne

gidiyor. Ambalaj, plastik sektöründe çok özel bir yere sahiptir.

Ambalaj ihracatının da yüzde 70’i plastik ambalajdan oluşuyor.”

The future of exports depends on plastic packaging

Stating that the issue of packaging was limited to factors such

as longevity and protection from external factors in the past,

while today issues such as recycling, microplastic problems

and environmentally friendly production have come to the

fore, Eroğlu said, “Our congress focused on sustainability

and green transformation themes. At the congress, which we

organized with the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO), we

hosted nearly 250 participants from Türkiye and abroad while

evaluating the developments in the sector and the future. We

also had the opportunity to discuss the effects of regulations on

the sector; because this situation can directly affect Türkiye’s

exports.”

Türkiye’s Preparation

Eroğlu also gave information about Türkiye’s progress in

recycling and its readiness for regulations. “Türkiye stands out

worldwide in recycled plastic packaging. However, this success

creates the need for Europe to protect itself. While Europe

introduced these regulations to protect the recycling and plastic

packaging industry, it ignored Türkiye’s preparation in this area.

Türkiye has invested more than Europe expected. We can now

issue EU-approved recycling certificates. These developments

caused Europe to fall behind economically and production

started to shift to the East. Türkiye has become a shining star

in this process. Europe is trying to set new rules to control this

situation. I am also on the board of the Brussels-based European

Plastics Converters Association (EUPC) and I call for managing

this process together with Türkiye.”

İhracatın geleceği plastik ambalaja bağlı

Ambalaj konusunun geçmişte uzun ömürlülük ve dış

etkenlerden koruma gibi unsurlarla sınırlı olduğunu,

günümüzde ise geri dönüşüm, mikroplastik sorunları ve çevre

dostu üretim gibi konuların ön plana çıktığını ifade eden Eroğlu,

“Kongremiz sürdürülebilirlik ve yeşil dönüşüm temalarına

odaklandı. İstanbul Ticaret Odası (İTO) ile düzenlediğimiz

kongrede, sektördeki gelişmeleri ve geleceği değerlendirirken,

yurtiçinden ve yurtdışından 250’ye yakın katılımcıyı ağırladık.

Regülasyonların sektöre etkilerini de konuşma fırsatımız oldu;

çünkü bu durum Türkiye’nin ihracatını doğrudan etkileyebilir.”

Türkiye’nin Hazırlığı

Eroğlu, Türkiye’nin geri dönüşümdeki ilerlemesi ve

regülasyonlara hazırlığı hakkında da bilgi verdi. “Türkiye,

geri dönüştürülmüş plastik ambalajlarda dünya çapında öne

çıkıyor. Ancak bu başarı, Avrupa’nın kendini koruma ihtiyacını

doğuruyor. Avrupa, geri dönüşüm ve plastik ambalaj sanayisini

korumak için bu regülasyonları getirirken, Türkiye’nin

bu alandaki hazırlığını göz ardı etti. Türkiye, Avrupa’nın

beklemediği kadar yatırım yaptı. Artık AB onaylı geri dönüşüm

sertifikaları verebiliyoruz. Bu gelişmeler, Avrupa’nın ekonomik

olarak geride kalmasına yol açtı ve üretim Doğu’ya kaymaya

başladı. Türkiye, bu süreçte parlayan bir yıldız haline geldi.

Avrupa, bu durumu kontrol altına almak için yeni kurallar

belirlemeye çalışıyor. Ben Brüksel merkezli Avrupa Birliği

Plastik Üreticiler Derneği’nin (EUPC) yönetim kurulunda da

yer alıyorum ve Türkiye ile bu süreci birlikte yönetme çağrısında

bulunuyorum.” şeklinde konuştu.

Yapay zekâ ile estetik dönüşüm

Sosyal medyanın etkisiyle estetik müdahalelere olan ilgi

hızla artarken, yapay zekâ da bu alana adım attı. Türkiye’nin

önde gelen plastik cerrahi merkezi Esteworld’ün Medikal

Direktörü Dr. Burak Tuncer, yapay zekâ yardımıyla ideal

yüz formunu oluşturmak ve buna uygun estetik işlemler

yaptırmak isteyenlerin sayısında büyük bir artış yaşandığını

belirtti.

Yapay zekâ, hayatın birçok alanında devrim sağlarken, şimdi

de estetik cerrahide kendine yer buluyor. Dr. Tuncer, özellikle

gençlerin, yapay zekâ ile oluşturulmuş yüz formlarını kullanarak

estetik operasyonlara yöneldiğini vurguladı. “Yurt dışından ya

da içerden yapay zekâ ile tasarlanmış süper versiyonlar getiren

hastalarımız var. Sosyal medya ve ünlülerin etkisiyle estetik

algısı hızla değişiyor. Gençler, dershaneden sonra ilk olarak

plastik cerrahi polikliniğine uğruyor ve üniversite sınavından

hemen sonra tatilden önce burun estetiği yaptırmak istiyor,”

dedi.

As interest in aesthetic procedures rapidly increases due to

the influence of social media, artificial intelligence has also

stepped into this field. Dr. Burak Tuncer, Medical Director

of Esteworld, one of Turkey’s leading plastic surgery centers,

stated that there has been a significant rise in the number

of individuals looking to create their ideal facial form and

undergo aesthetic procedures with the help of artificial

intelligence.

Artificial intelligence is revolutionizing many areas of life,

and it is now finding its place in aesthetic surgery as well. Dr.

Tuncer emphasized that especially young people are turning

to aesthetic operations using AI-generated facial forms. “We

have patients who bring super versions designed with artificial

intelligence from abroad or locally. The perception of aesthetics

is rapidly changing due to social media and the influence of

celebrities. Young people are first visiting plastic surgery clinics

after classes, and right after university entrance exams, they

often seek rhinoplasty before going on vacation,” he said.

Ünlülerin etkisi ve estetik trendleri

Dr. Tuncer, son yıllarda ünlülerin estetik haberlerinin sıklıkla

gündeme gelmesiyle sosyal medyanın estetik trendlerini

şekillendirdiğini aktardı. “Bir ünlünün dudağı ya da burnundan

etkilenerek estetik yaptırmak isteyenler oldukça fazla. Sosyal

medyada yanak aldırma, bişektomi, dolgu ve rinoplasti gibi

işlemler oldukça popüler hale geldi. Kadınlar arasında meme

estetiği ve liposuction, erkeklerde ise jinekomasti yoğun ilgi

görüyor,” şeklinde konuştu.

The Influence of Celebrities and Aesthetic Trends

Dr. Tuncer pointed out that the frequent headlines about

celebrity aesthetic procedures in recent years have shaped

aesthetic trends on social media. “Many people are influenced by

a celebrity’s lips or nose and wish to undergo similar procedures.

In social media, procedures like buccal fat removal, bioplasty,

fillers, and rhinoplasty have become quite popular. Women

show intense interest in breast aesthetics and liposuction, while

men are particularly interested in gynecomastia,” he explained.

Decreasing Age for Aesthetic Requests

Noting that the age for aesthetic requests has dropped to 13-

14 years, Dr. Tuncer mentioned, “Rhinoplasty, breast aesthetics,

and facelift are among the most common aesthetic surgeries.

People are seeking these procedures to look younger. Seeing

themselves on screens and the desire to appear more attractive

to others are increasing the demand for aesthetics.”

International Demands and Preferences

Evaluating international requests, Tuncer stated, “We have

patients coming from Germany and the Netherlands primarily

for rhinoplasty. Patients from Italy seek breast aesthetics, while

those from France are interested in tummy tucks. Swedes prefer

larger breasts and buttocks. There is also a strong demand

for facelifts and almond-shaped eye procedures from Gulf

countries.”

As artificial intelligence creates a revolution in the aesthetic

world, it enables individuals to achieve their unique ideal facial

forms.

Son yıllarda estetik talep yaşının 13-14’e kadar düştüğünü

belirten Dr. Tuncer, “Rinoplasti, meme estetiği ve yüz germe

gibi işlemler en sık yapılan estetik operasyonlar arasında.

İnsanlar daha genç görünmek için bu operasyonlara başvuruyor.

Ekranda kendilerini görmek, karşı tarafa daha güzel görünme

isteği estetik talebini artırıyor,” dedi.

Uluslararası talep ve istekler

Uluslararası talepleri de değerlendiren Tuncer, “Almanya

ve Hollanda’dan burun estetiği için gelen hastalarımız var.

İtalya’dan meme estetiği, Fransa’dan karın germe, İsveç’ten ise

büyük meme ve popo talepleri geliyor. Körfez ülkelerinden

ise yüz germe ve çekik göz işlemlerine yoğun bir talep var,”

ifadelerini kullandı.

Cosmetics industry came together in Copenhagen

Kozmetik sektörü Kopenhag’da bir araya geldi

“ECRM Copenhagen Cosmetics Sectoral Trade Delegation”

was organized by Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products

Exporters’ Association (IKMIB) in Copenhagen, Denmark

for the cosmetics and cleaning products sector.

In the event held between October 13-16, 2024, 13 companies

from the Turkish cosmetics and cleaning products sector took

part and more than 470 bilateral business meetings were held

in total.

IKMIB carries out many activities to contribute to the exports

of the chemical industry. In this context, Turkish companies

presented their branded and Private Label products such as

skin care products, personal care products, soaps, wet wipes

and baby care products to buyers at the event in Copenhagen.

The two-day organization held 478 bilateral business meetings

with approximately 75 buyers from the USA, Denmark and

neighboring countries, including major buyers such as Watson,

Carrefour and Rossman.

Accompanied by Süleyman Özgür Öztürk, IKMIB TIM

Delegate, the delegation was visited by Erdal Karahisar, Chief

Commercial Counselor of the Republic of Türkiye in Denmark,

who made an informative presentation to the participants.

İstanbul Kimyevi Maddeler ve Mamulleri İhracatçıları

Birliği (İKMİB) tarafından, kozmetik ve temizlik ürünleri

sektörüne yönelik Danimarka’nın Kopenhag şehrinde

“ECRM Kopenhag Kozmetik Sektörel Ticaret Heyeti”

düzenlendi.

13-16 Ekim 2024 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirilen etkinlikte,

Türk kozmetik ve temizlik ürünleri sektöründen 13 firma yer

aldı ve toplam 470’in üzerinde ikili iş görüşmesi gerçekleştirildi.

IKMİB, kimya sektörünün ihracatına katkı sağlamak amacıyla

birçok faaliyet yürütmekte. Bu kapsamda, Kopenhag’daki

etkinlikte Türk firmaları cilt bakım ürünleri, kişisel bakım

ürünleri, sabun, ıslak mendil ve bebek bakım ürünleri gibi
