Throughout the year most schools have fund-raising activities such as summer and
Christmas fetes, jumble sales, sponsored walks etc etc.
One of the problems with these activities is that they require a large amount of
organization, and time and commitment by teachers who are already overworked. Also,
in the event of bad weather, the event has to be cancelled or loses money.
Inflatable hirers can provide a solution to this problem. The answer is a SPONSORED
BOUNCE. This can be held in the sports hall or the main assembly hall. Bad weather
cannot cause any problems, and more importantly, the teachers have to do very little
organization. The schools I have dealt with in the Berkshire area, recommend each child
gets sponsored to the tune of 2p per bounce over a time period of say 2 minutes. 4 or 5
children will bounce at the same time and a teacher will monitor and count the exact

I recommend that you write to the local schools in your area and tell them that you can
provide a bouncy castle for them at reasonable cost, for fund raising purposes. Also
explain that unlike a sponsored walk, it cannot be cancelled due to bad weather. Also,
with a sponsored bounce every child in the school can get involved. Imagine the
logistical nightmare of all the schoolchildren going on a sponsored walk!
Also, you get FREE publicity for your business. School children will first approach their
parents to sponsor them. If you provide the sponsor forms to the school for free, you can
put your company name and contact number at the top of each form. When the parents
want to hire an inflatable for their kids party in the summer your name is likely to spring
to mind.
