Aston Rowant WalkWalks likely to be suitable for people with impaired mobilityand users of wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairsAston Rowant National Nature Reserve is an area of woodland and downland ontop of the Chilterns escarpment. There are fantastic views and a good chance tosee Red Kites. There is car parking.i Path InformationMost of the nature reserve is very hilly with narrowgrass paths. There are two routes with a wide firmsurface. The short 100m path from the car park to theviewpoint is steep. The longer, flatter, 750m paththrough beech woods finishes at the gate (one wayopening) where it enters the downland in order toprotect rare plants. To progress to the viewpointinvolves a grassy and uneven path, which is likely toprove difficult for users of wheelchairs and mobilityvehicles. The main car park has large loose stonesurfacing.
