T
he innovation journey at L&T Technology Services
has been the collective effort of all
our employees . Fostering a culture of innovation
requires us to measure our operational practices at every level and
realign our functioning to be on par with global standards.
First and foremost, any successful innovation model requires
effective involvement of workgroups and leveraging the expertise
in different domains. The Technology needs of the future can only
be met by the collective assimilation of capabilities and by
functioning as a cohesive workforce with diverse capabilities.
That is something we have achieved at L&T Technology services. The energy and motivation of our
employees has been the most crucial component of this journey.
We have one of the most robust innovation management systems with fully automated frameworks
for strategically identified areas such as collaboration, design automation, intellectual property
creation, cross pollination and interest group interaction among other things.
Having built the platform and laid the foundation for innovation, our objective will be to focus on
maximizing the benefit of this framework to realize our top line as well as bottom-line goals. This
requires thorough understanding of the dynamic ecosystem that our customers compete in whereby
we help them build competitive models. In order to adopt a proactive proposal approach, we will
need to continuously identify new competencies that can facilitate such an engagement and be a
constantly learning workforce.
The key lies in spotting these competencies and niche technologies at a very early stage and thereby
enhancing the value of our intellectual property. The focus areas that will propel our growth in these
interesting times, have been identified and many initiatives have been rolled out in this direction. I
look forward to us coming together and maintaining the spirit and determination we have
demonstrated in achieving our goals.

Hello All,
Innovation today is one of the key factors that decides the growth prospect of any organization.
ER&D services has become one of the most competitive industry sectors with rapid maturity and
absorption of technology. Our ability to approach technology specific innovation from a multidimensional
stand point will be our key differentiator in the years to come.
We are now at an interesting phase of our growth journey where we have successfully patented
some key technologies and have been able to commercialize the same. It is essential that we follow
this positive trend and carve a niche for ourselves by becoming an end to end solution provider for
our customers.
Way of Innovation is a quarterly newsletter published by TSIC aimed at introducing the reader to
latest technology and innovation. This is a ‘get-up and go’ initiative to drive innovation culture in the
organization by keeping ourselves updated on the key technologies and business trends.
I hope this newsletter will spark many interesting ideas and bring insightful perspectives.
