A Farewell Editorial

After editing Reach Out for sixteen years
I have decided that it is time for me to
hand over to a new Editor.
Over the last sixteen years Reach
Out has changed and evolved along with
Tuberous Sclerosis Australia. But what has
remained the same is that Tuberous Sclerosis
Australia and Reach Out remain focused on
families and individuals affected by Tuberous
Sclerosis Complex. As Editor of Reach Out I have
always tried to provide content that is of interest and value

to people living with TSC. I hope that Reach Out
continues to help make the difficult task of living
with TSC a little bit easier.
During my time as Editor I have appreciated
the opportunity to share news, stories and
information with readers. Contributions from
many people have made this possible, and gave
me encouragement to continue the work.
What I have valued most is the personal
stories that people have shared about their experiences
of living with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex.
These stories are all different, some focusing on the
challenges of having a child with TSC, and some about adults who
live with the condition. While most of these stories have described
enormous difficulties, many also contain a strong sense of hope
and resilience. For me, these stories are a great inspiration.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to and supported
Reach Out over the last sixteen years.

for this issue.
Help us find the next editor of Reach Out
The volunteer editor of Reach Out
coordinates contributions from
TSA staff and volunteers and works with
the paid graphic designers to ensure a
high quality publication. Significant
support is provided by the TSA General
Manager, including with content planning
and production.
Ideally, they will have experience in
print or online publishing; health communication;
or not for profit communications
or marketing.
This is an opportunity to make a
real difference to the lives of people
living with TSC in Australia. If you, or
