I started my journey in the fitness industry 5 years ago at the age of only
16. I spent my first year more or less wasting my time and money on a
gym membership doing what I thought was right, although I had noticed I
had been training a while and didn't notice any visual differences. From
this realisation, I decided to bite the bullet and hire a personal trainer which
was a big gamble for me, as I was only 16 living as a student, so I never
really had a lot of money. Looking back now, I can't believe how much this
changed mylife and I can say it's the best money I've ever spent. During the
first 6 weeks of my training I saw massive differences, the kind I had been
trying to get all year round but nothing would budge. This kept me motivated
as I now became a little more educated on how to transform my shape and
this was very exciting for me, the gym becamemy life. I was always known
as the shy scruffy boy who never really spoke and developed into a more
outspoken, confident mature adult because of what I was achieving in the
gym. This was great and I knew this was something I loved and I'm always
going to love. I therefore decided it was time to take up my qualifications as
a personal trainer which took me roughly about 9 months. Now I knew I was
only 17 at this time and I was not ready to start my own business as a
trainer I still felt as if there was loads I needed to know and experience
before I took this leaptherefore I was given the chance to do work
experience in Fitness First (Lifestyle Fitness Kilmarnock) to help me gain
more experience in the industry. I continued to do this until I was 18 getting
to know members, takingclasses and of course my favourite cleaning gym
equipment *Note Sarcasm*. From here I was offered a job in the same gym
as a Personal Trainer which I had decided it was time for. Since then I have
created a massive portfolio of successfulclient stories and pictures that
justify I am serious about what I do.
