wrote it “for the love of the delight with his honor, my brother
w ho is very dear to me.” This long section of novellae by R’
Shlomo Eiger was never published.
Good condition, the margins of the leaves were slightly damaged
and were restored with a slight loss of text.

Avraham Chai Musafia (Achi”m).
R’ Avraham Chai Musafia was rabbi in Spaltro, Italy for over
sixty years, in place of his father R’ Chaim Yitzchak Musafia
who was rabbi there before him. At the end of his life he moved
to Jerusalem. R’ Avraham Chai was well known as a rabbi,
K abbalist and important researcher. The commentary includes
hundreds of annotations in the page margins, and on the
empty leaves at the beginning and end of the book. At the
end of each annotation R’Avraham Chai Musafia signed his
n ame: Achi”m, Achima”n or Mai”n. At the beginning of the
manuscript he explains the acronyms of his various signatures.
This commentary was never published.

ר'‏ שלמה איגר היה בנו של ר'‏ עקיבא איגר,‏ כיהן כרבה המפורסם
של פוזנא,‏ וחיבר ספר גליון מהרש"א.‏ את התשובה כתב ר'‏ שלמה
איגר לאחיו ר'‏ אברהם מבראוויץ,‏ והוא העתיקה בכתב ידו,‏ וכמו
שכתוב בתחלת התשובה ‏"שאלה זו שאלתיה אנכי זה שנים רבות
קדם אחי חביבי הרב המפורסם רבי שלמה נ"י והא לך תשובתו
אשר השיב לי ככתבו וכלשונו".‏ אח"כ הכין ר'‏ שלמה איגר את
התשובה לדפוס והוסיף,‏ תיקן והגיה בכתב ידו ברבה מקומות.‏
על קטע שלם וגדול העביר ר'‏ שלמה קו כדי שלא יודפס,‏ משום
שלדבריו כתבו ‏"לאהבת השעשוע עם כבודו דאחי חביבי כלבבי".‏
קטע ארוך זה של חדושי ר'‏ שלמה איגר לא נדפס מעולם.‏
במצב טוב,‏ אולם שולי הדפים נפגעו במקצת עם הזמן ושוקמו,‏ עם
מעט חסרון בטקסט.‏

Lengthy responsa of R’ Shlomo Eiger on the subject of “toch
kedei dibbur” in matrimony and sales. Manuscript on paper, 4
large pages, 24 X 40 cm. Circa 1840.
R’ Shlomo Eiger was R’ Akiva Eiger’s son, the well-known
Rabbi of Posen and author of Gilayon Maharsh”a. This responsa
was written by R’ Shlomo Eiger to his brother, R’ Avraham of
Brawitz, and he copied it in his own handwriting, as is written in
the beginning of the responsa “I asked this question many years
ago to my dear brother, the well-known Rabbi, R’ Shlomo, and
h ere is his answer word for word.” Later R’ Shlomo Eiger
prepared this responsa for publishing with many additions,
