Blue waters, clear skies,
and a beautiful yacht
T
here is an old proverb saying there are
three things that can take your mind
away: waters, greenery, and a beautiful
face. This clearly sounds like it came from a
man who lived amongst lush gardens and
green farms surrounded by rivers, something
we do not have in the desert. However, we
were blessed with beautiful seas and clear
skies that can just as easily capture our hearts.
This feeling is most prevalent onboard a yacht
or a boat and, of course, is not limited to the
people of the UAE who consider the sea their
fortune. Europeans who have come from the
greenest lands share the same sentiment and
it is not rare to see them enjoying the deck on
weekends. To the wealthy, this is a significant
part of their lifestyle.
This is a testament to the universal appeal
of yachting, boating, and other marine sports
in the region, and it represents endless
opportunities and a promising future for those
who operate in the industry to provide us with
this luxury.

يف القدمي قالوا اأن ثالثة يذهبن العقل:‏ املاء
واخلضراء والوجه احلسن،‏ ويبدو جلياً‏ اأن قائل هذه
العبارة كان يعيش يف بيئة غنية باملزارع اخلراء
واحلدائق الغناء التي تسقيها الينابيع والأنهار،‏ وهو
ما ل منتلكه نحن يف اأرضنا الصحراوية،‏ لكن اهلل
حبانا يف املقابل بالبحر ورزقة مياهه النقية التي
تعانق زرقة السماء الصافية التي يهب نسيمها
العليل املفعم بعبق ياأخذ بالألباب.‏
ويكون هذا الشعور اأجمل ما ميكن على ظهر
قارب اأو يخت ينقل الإنسان اإىل هذا العامل الساحر
والآسر.‏ ول ينحصر هذا العشق لعبق البحر بين
اأبناء الإمارات الذين يعتربون البحر اأباهم والصحراء
اأمهم،‏ بل جند اأبناء الدول الأوروبية املليئة باخلرة
واملاء العذب ينافسوننا يف حب البحر واقتناء
مراكبه وسفنه،‏ ويندر اأن جتد واحداً‏ منهم ل يعلوا
ظهر مركب يف اإجازته الأسبوعية،‏ بل جند كثيراً‏
من امليسورين منهم ينفقون مدخرات كبرة لشراء
واقتناء اليخوت الفاخرة التي يعتربونها جزءاً‏ رئيساً‏
من منط حياتهم.‏
كل ذلك يوؤكد على اأن قطاع اليخوت والقوارب
والرياضة البحرية هو من اأهم مقومات اأسلوب
احلياة لسكان هذه املنطقة،‏ وتشترك فيه كافة
الأعراق والأجناس والثقافات،‏ وميثل قطاعاً‏ واعداً‏
لالستثمار على ‏صعيد التصنيع اأو التوزيع اأو تقدمي
اخلدمات الحرافية مبختلف اأنواعها.‏

Largest residential
yacht 'The World'
coming to Oman
C“The World,” where residents
travel the globe without ever
leaving home will visit Muscat and
other Gulf countries in the next few days.
“We prefer not to provide exact dates for
each visit for security reasons. Moreover,
this is a private residential ship and not
a cruise ship,” a spokesperson for “The
World” told the Times of Oman.
The 165 private homes on board are
owned by 142 families from 19 countries
around the world, but mostly from the
United States, Europe, Japan, South
Africa and Australia.
Gulf Craft enters the world of mega-yachts
with Majesty 200 and Majesty 175
Gulf Craft has announced plans to start manufacturing mega-yachts, marking
the Emirates-based builder’s entry into the exclusive league of global megayacht
manufacturers.
The announcement was made at the Monaco Yacht Show, where Gulf Craft revealed
the new concept designs for the 61-meter Majesty 200 and the 53-meter Majesty
175, both ready to be constructed upon order and offering an exceptional degree
of owner customization.
The Majesty 200 is set to be the shipyard's ambitious move into the world of megayachts,
and will be built using the latest engineering technology.
WSS ships ferries to Dubai
Project cargo handler Wilhelmsen has delivered
four passenger ferry boats to Dubai.
The boats each weighed 65 tons and measured
32 meters long, six meters wide, and 6.9 meters high.
A team from WSS U.A.E. handled import clearance,
port handling and load-out using self-propelled modular
transporters to Jebel Ali Port, where the ferries were
discharged into the water using a tandem lift of 2 x
300-tonne cranes. They ensured proper coordination
between customs, port operations, port HSSE team,
port marine team, crane operators and transporters
for the timely receiving, shifting, customs clearance &
discharging of the boats into the water.

‏"جلف كرافت"‏ تدخل عالم اليخوت العمالقة
مع ماجستي 200 وماجستي 175
‏أعلنت ‏شركة ‏"جلف كرافت"‏ البدء يف بناء يخوت عمالقة بطول يفوق اخلمسين متراً،‏ اإيذاناً‏ بدخول
الصانعة الإماراتية دائرة منتجي اليخوت العمالقة ‏"ميغا يخت".‏ وجرى الكشف عن هذه التطورات خالل
مشاركة جلف كرافت يف معرض موناكو لليخوت،‏ حيث اأزاحت الشركة الستار عن تصاميم منوذجية
مذهلة لليخت العمالق ماجستي 200 البالغ طوله 61 متراً،‏ وماجستي 175 البالغ طوله 53 متراً،‏ معلنة اأن
كال اليختين جاهز للبناء مبجرّد البدء يف تلقي طلبات العمالء،‏ واأنهما يتيحان درجة عالية من املرونة يف
التصميم وفق رغبة العميل.‏
ويعترب اليخت ماجستي 200 نقلة جديدة ‏ضمن خطة عمل جلف كرافت الطموحة،‏ ينتقل بها اإىل عامل
امليغا يخت،‏ وسيتم بناوؤه باستخدام اأحدث تقنيات هندسة اليخوت العمالقة.‏ اأما اليخت ماجستي 175
فسيعتمد يف بنائه بالكامل على مواد متطورة،‏ جنحت جلف كرافت يف تطويرها وتوسيع جوانب استخدامها
لتدخل يف عمليات بناء اليخوت العمالقة.‏
‏"العالم"‏ - أكبر يخت
سكني قادم إلى عمان
س ‏وف يزور يخت ‏"العامل"،‏ اأكرب يخت ‏سكني مدينة
مسقط وغرها من دول اخلليج يف الأيام املقبلة.‏
وقال املتحدث باسم ‏"العامل"‏ لتاميز اأوف عمان ‏"نحن
نفضل عدم تقدمي مواعيد دقيقة لكل زيارة لأسباب
اأمنية.‏ تعترب ‏سفينة " العامل"‏ اإنها ‏سفينة ‏سكنية
وليست ‏سفينة ‏سياحية،فهي تسمح لسكانها بالسفر
حول العامل دون ترك منازلهم".‏ وحتتوي السفينة على
165 منزلً‏ ويسكنها حالياً‏ حوايل 142 اأسرة من 19 بلداً‏
يف جميع اأنحاء العامل،‏ ولكن معظمها من الوليات
املتحدة واأوروبا واليابان وجنوب اأفريقيا واأستراليا.‏
سفن WSS و Ferries في دبي
قدم مشروع Wilhelmsen اأربعة قوارب ركاب اإىل
دبي.‏ ويصل وزن كل قارب اإىل 65 طناً‏ وقياسها 32
متراً‏ وبعرض ‏ستة اأمتار و 6.9 مترا.ً‏ وقام فريق من
.WSS U.A.E بتخليص الواردات واملناولة يف
امليناء باستخدام ناقالت وحدات ذاتية مليناء جبل
علي،‏ حيث مت تفريغ السفن يف املاء باستخدام
رافعات بقدرة × 2 300 طن.‏ وقد قاموا بالتنسيق
بين اجلمارك وعمليات املوانئ وفريق امليناء وفريق
بحرية املوانئ ومشغلي الرافعات والنقل لضمان
استقبال البضائع يف الوقت املناسب والتحويل
والتخليص اجلمركي وتفريغ السفن يف املياه.‏

Damen unveils new Expedition
Cruise Vessel design
Dutch shipbuilder Damen Shipyards Group has unveiled
its recently finished Expedition Cruise Vessel design,
developed together with Expedition Voyage Consultants
Ltd and the Danish Naval Architect firm, Knud E. Hansen.
The Damen Expedition Cruise Vessel has been designed for
expedition operations in both remote polar and tropical regions.
“The vessel’s Polar Class 6 compliance and 30 day autonomous
cruising capability ensure she is globally capable and able
to tackle challenging, far-reaching itineraries.
Mercedes luxurious yacht
concept turned to reality
Mercedes-Benz is known for its luxurious cars, but the
company is also behind one of the most anticipated
yachts being shown off this year.
The yacht was shown as a concept in 2012 before working
with the yacht building company “Silver Arrows Marine” to
be released this year as a sleek-looking vessel with prices
starting at about $1.7 million. The two companies only plan
to build 10 Edition 1 models of the yachts and aim to only
sell one in any country, making the yachts incredibly rare.
Evo Yachts 43 arrives in Spain
Launched in November 2015 at the Cannes Yachting Festival,
the Evo 43 is the first model from Evo Yachts founded as a
part of the Sea Engineering Group. Evo 43 was designed
by Studio Tecnico Rivellini in Naples, Italy and is unique in that
the barriers surrounding it can open out whilst it's moving,
expanding its decking and also raising extra seats and providing
a diving platform at the rear. After an enthusiastic welcome
at the Boat Show in Palma de Mallorca last May 2016, Evo
Yachts will be back again in Spain.
Turquoise Yachts launches 47m
super-yacht Razan
47m project NB60 hits the water at Turquoise Yachts. The
vessel represents the first launch from the Turkish shipyard
since the introduction of the new strategy in 2015. London
based H2 Yacht Design is responsible for both the exterior and
interior design. Razan will feature a long swimming platform
on her exterior and fresh, clean styling on both the main and
upper decks. The sun deck also boasts a modern roof design.

فريد هو األول من نوعه
قررت ‏شركة السيارات العاملية مرسيدس بينز وضع بصمة ل متحى ول
تضاهى يف عامل ‏صناعة املحركات،‏ ولكن هذه املرة مل تكن حتفتها الفاخرة
‏سيارة جديدة،‏ بل كانت يختاً‏ بحرياً‏ يجمع ما بن فخامة السيارات الفارهة وقوة
املحركات اخلارقة.وجتول اليخت مستعرضاً‏ تصميمه الفريد،‏ الذي مل يسبقه اإليه
اأي يخت اآخر يف العامل،‏ على ‏شاطئ خليج ‏"سان جان كاب فيرات"‏ بسواحل
الريفيرا الفرنسية.‏ ويبلغ طول اليخت 46 قدماً‏ فقط،‏ يف حن يبلغ ‏سعره نحو 1.7
مليون دولر اأمركي،‏ حيث مت تصنيع اليخت بالراكة مع ‏"سهم البحار الفضي"،‏
موضحة اأن تصميمه مستوحى من ‏سيارة السباق التي ‏صممتها الركة يف عام
‎1930‎م.‏
‏"دامن"‏ تكشف عن تصميم
جديد لسفينة الرحالت
كشفت ‏شركة بناء السفن الهولندية دامن ‏شيبياردز عن انهاء التصميم
اجلديد Expedition Cruise Vessel مع ‏شركة Expedition Voyage Consultants
.Danish Naval Architect، Knud E. Hansen وشركة Ltd
وقد مت تصميم السفينة للعمليات اخلارجية يف كل من املناطق القطبية
والستوائية النائية.‏ وقال مدير ‏ركة دامن،‏ هينك غرنستا ‏"تتصف ‏سفينة Polar
Class 6 بالمتثال باملعايير وبقدرتها على النطالق الذاتي ومواجهة التحديات
الصعبة حيث اأن السفينة مصممة لالمتثال مبعايير SOLAS والعودة الآمنة
للميناء".‏
وصول Evo Yachts 43 إلى أسبانيا
تركواز تطلق يختها الجديد ‏"رزان"‏
اطلقت ‏شركة اليخوت الركية " تركواز"‏ يختها اجلديد ‏"رزان"‏ والذي ميثل
اأول اإطالق من حوض بناء السفن الركي منذ تطبيق الستراتيجية اجلديدة يف
عام 2015. كما قامت الشركة بتعيين H2 Yacht Design والتي مقرها يف لندن
لتكون مسوؤولة عن كل التصاميم اخلارجية والداخلية.‏
مت تصميم املالمح الرئيسية ل"رزان"‏ حتتوي على حمام ‏سباحة على السطح
اخلارجي يعكس لالستمتاع باجلو واأشعة الشمس.‏ كما يضم ‏سقف السطح
تصميماً‏ عرياً‏ وتشمل منصة اأطول على السطح اخلارجي ولوحات يف الطوابق
العليا والرئيسية لتعطي مظهراً‏ اأكرث اأناقة.‏
مت اطالق ايفو 43 يف نوفمرب 2015 يف مهرجان كان لليخوت وهو النموذج
الأول من يخوت ايفو التي تاأسست كجزء من جمموعةGroup .Sea Engineering
وقد مت تصميم ايفو 43 من قبل Rivelliniin Studio Tecnico يف نابويل،‏ اإيطاليا.‏
وهي فريدة من نوعها يف اأن احلواجز املحيطة بها ميكنها اأن تفتح وهي تتحرك،‏
مما يوسع من املنصة ويرفع املقاعد الإضافية،‏ جنباً‏ اإىل جنب مع توفر حمام
‏سباحة على السطح اخلارجي.‏ وستعود Evo Yachts مرة اأخرى يف اأسبانيا بعد
اأن تلقت الرحيب احلماسي يف معرض القوارب يف باملا دي مالوركا يف مايو
املاضي 2016.

Do you dream of living underwater?

The Floating Seahorse Villas, a unique luxury lifestyle product, has been causing quite a buzz since it’s recent
launch in Dubai, offering beach lovers privacy, relaxation and luxury.
The real estate development
company Kleindienst is behind this
product, which is now available in
the market. Each unit comprises
three floors in the form of an upscale
villa, floating in the water. The project
consists of 42 unites. Every single one
stands alone as a group of artificial
islands on Dubai’s coast that together
represent a map of the world.
Each villa has different properties
but all weigh 180 tons and provide a
maximum of three bedrooms and two
bathrooms. Although they float on
water they remain in the same place.
The main bedroom and bathroom
is completely underwater and
overlooking stunning coral reefs. The
next floor is at sea level with windows
extending from floor-to-ceiling,
presenting views of the sea. It includes
a fully equipped kitchen and an open
area living room.
The back of the villa has a warm
place to eat and relax in the open air,
which can also be converted into a
bed. There is a small refrigerator, a

kitchenette and a luxury Jacuzzi with a
glass base. The villa can also convert to
a winter room for sleep, which can be
equipped with retractable curtains. The
project was designed and developed
with European architects to bring a
unique style to Kleindienst Group's
unique project, located just 4 km from
the coast of Dubai.
Mr. Josef Kleindienst, Chairman of
Kleindienst Group, commented on
the importance of the project, saying,
"Since the launch of the project,
we received many local and global
enquiries. We are excited to offer an
opportunity to invest in this lifestyle,
not only in Dubai but also on a global
level. The project is not confined to
the waters of Dubai. We can design
and manufacture the project to other
destinations in the world. The project
took several months of research, and
we are thrilled by our ability to launch
the project officially in Dubai. We
are confident that this project will
serve as a landmark in the luxurious
lifestyle market throughout the world's
most outstanding innovations and
contemporary designs.”
It is expected that the project will
be completed by the end of 2016. For
those wondering about the reason for
naming this project "the Seahorse,"
Kleindienst explains, "The Seahorse is
an endangered species and we'll build
artificial coral reefs underneath that
will serve as a protection area where
seahorses can live and reproduce."

البحرية.‏ وسيتمتع الطابق عىل مستوى البحر بنوافذ
متتد من األرضية وحتى السقف،‏ لتفسح املجال للتمتع
مبناظر البحر دون أية عوائق،‏ مع مطبخ مجهز بالكامل
وغرفة معيشة،‏ ومنطقة معيشة مفتوحة،‏ وعند فتح
الواجهة الزجاجية ف إن رشف ة الشمس ستمنح امتداداً‏
واس ع اً‏ ملنطقة املعيشة.‏
يف ح ني يعترب ظهر الفيال مكاناً‏ مميزاً‏ لتناول الطعام

Difficulties arising from raising the ceiling for the

Despite the difficulties faced by the company in relation
to price competition and currency fluctuations between the

OXE diesel outboard engine
Cimco Marine, the manufacturer
behind OXE – the world’s first
high power diesel outboard – will
further extend the availability of
the outboard engine. Exalto Emirates
has been appointed to expand beyond
its current territories as the Middle
East distributor of the OXE.
The OXE diesel outboard fulfills the
NATO “single-fuel” directive and is
an ideal solution for naval, military, oil
and gas application.
Cimco Marine AB has developed
the OXE diesel, a self-contained
belt propulsor Unit (S-BPU). The
OXE is based on a commercial
automotive diesel engine and the
unique patented BPU technology
which enables high torque transfer
to the propeller. The belt drive

shafts allowing for a streamlined
housing below the waterline

How to be safe on board
It is very important to be well prepared when going on a boating trip,
because there is nothing worse than getting in trouble while in the
middle of the sea!

Below are some essential safety rules
which are important to follow before
leaving the shore.
1. It is always important to
check the weather forecast. If
you find out that the weather is
not suitable for sailing then it’s
better to play it safe and stay on dry
land.
2. Make sure that the safety
gear is always on board, such
as distrees signals, which are
an internationally recognized
method for obtaining help in case of a
threat or danger. Also make sure there
are enough life jackets for all people on
board and at least one or two life rings.
3. Always inform a family
member, a close friend or even
a member of staff at the marina
where you are going and how
long you expect to be gone.
4. One of the most important
parts of boating safety is to
operate your boat at a safe speed
at all times, especially when you
are sailing out of or in to the marina,
or when the sea is rough. Also, it is
essential to stay alert all the time and
watch out for other vessels sailing in the
same area.
5. Avoid drinking alcohol during
the cruise as this could increse
the risk of an accident, even if
you are only a passenger.
6. Learning the basics of
swimming could save your
life, so, if you are not a good
swimmer or never practiced it
before, now is the time to go ahead and
learn. You can either get one of your
friends to teach you or join a club that
offers swimming classes.
7. Whether you are a beginner
or an experienced boater, you
need to be familiar with all
the boating safety rules of
operation. Understand the buoys and
other floating navigational signs that
you might see on water and know what
to do if something goes wrong. You can
learn all this by taking a boating course
at a sea school. It is now compulsory to
have a boat driving license to operate a
boat.

This new yacht plays a crucial role in the brand’s

The Ferretti Yachts 550 features an unprecedented hull

This yacht combines elegance with a sporty character. It is
indeed characterized by clear-cut and yet very seducing lines.
The main deck uninterrupted glazing ‘cuts’ the yacht’s profile,
increasing its dynamic look, while the three large glazed
surfaces on the hull sides - the cabin windows - perfectly

frameless fiberglass flush portholes result in very clean lines,

Seabreacher boats introduces new innovation
Is it a Shark or Boat?
This boat operates in a manner beyond the traditional concept of maritime. It can carve left
and right as well as jump over, dive underneath or just cut straight through waves. It can even
perform 360-degree barrel rolls on the water.
Seabreacher offers several models of leisure boats for sea
lovers in the United Arab Emirates. Mr. Salah Mohammed,
Sales Specialist at the company, explained: the latest boats
can dive under water to a depth of 3 meters, jump in the air
up to a height of 6 meters, and can reach speeds of 80 mph
above water or 25 mph underneath.
The model X can roll up to 90 degrees in either direction
while the model Z can roll a full 360 degrees. The cockpit,
which can accommodate the captain and one companion,
features a Bluetooth entertainment system which allows
the video stream from external cameras to be viewed inside.
To give the customer privacy, the company provides unique
designs bearing the signature of the artist. The company also
provides six hours of training for new owners to ensure they
can offer the boat safely and comfortably, even under water.
When asked about the standards of security and public
safety, Mr. Mohammed confirmed that the boat is completely
safe, since the glass used is the same as in an F-16 fighter jet
and can easily withstand the pressures and impacts at sea. The
seats are Ferrari and feature a complete system of ventilation
to avoid problems with humidity and pressure.
