CARE FOR YOUR MAGNETIC SIGNS

Congratulations on the purchase of your Magnetic
Signs!
Your premium magnetic signs are produced on 0.8mm magnetic
substrate and are designed to be used for vehicles or on metal
A-Frames.
In order to increase the life-span of your magnetic signs and not
harm the paint finish on your vehicle, follow these simple
procedures:-
STORAGE
When not using your magnetic sign, keep it in a clean, dry place.
To avoid cracking or breaking, do not fold or crease.
Storing your magnetic sign flat is recommended. If stored in roll
form, the roll must be a minimum of 85mm in diameter and
lettering on outside of roll to prevent wrinkles.
Avoid placing anything on top of the magnets as this may scratch or
damage the face.
Do not store magnetic signs with the magnetic side facing each
other.
AFFIXING
The vehicle surface and the magnetic side of the sign should be
clean and dry prior to applying.
Before affixing your magnetic sign, be sure all surface paints, clear
coats, and waxes are cured (hardened).
Apply the magnetic sign by making contact with one edge of the
sign to the vehicle surface in the desired location and then let the
adjacent part of the sign contact the surface until the entire sign is
held magnetically.
Make sure the entire magnet is flat against the metal surface and
does not lie over any vehicle trims, etc.
If the magnetic sign is placed in the wrong position, completely
remove from the surface, and reaffix. Do NOT pull the magnet
across the surface, or it may stretch due to the resistance caused
by the high magnetic strength.
Always remove your magnetic sign from your vehicle before going
through a car wash.
Avoid placing your magnetic sign over chrome trim or surface
protrusions of any kind.
Avoid use on horizontal metal surfaces exposed to direct sunlight
(such as automobile hoods).

AFFIXING (CONT.)
Be aware that long-term use on surfaces frequently exposed to
sunlight (such as vehicles) can result in uneven fading of the
surface because the magnet-covered area is shielded from
ultraviolet rays.
CLEANING
Clean your magnetic sign with plain water or warm water and a
mild detergent, wipe with a soft cloth and allow to air-dry.
Dry off any moisture on the vehicle surface and the magnet before
reinstalling.
To guard against moisture and dirt build-up between the magnetic
sign and the metal surface (particularly on outdoor applications),
remove the magnet at regular intervals and clean.
To protect fresh clear coat, base coat, and/or vinyl surfaces on new
cars and trucks, remove magnetic signs weekly, especially in hot
weather, to avoid having the magnet bond to the painted vehicle
surface.
CAUTION
Magnetic signs will NOT adhere to areas on your car where plastic
body fillers have been used. Magnets will not stick to aluminium,
stainless steel, or fiberglass. Use caution in applying vehicle signs
to areas of your car that may have been damaged and repaired, to
avoid your magnetic signs “flying off” the vehicle at speed causing
potential damage to other vehicles and your magnetic signs.
Please make sure the magnetic signs will stick to the surface you
intend to use them on before placing your order with us. We have
an example on site that we are happy to check suitability of your
surface with.
Trapped moisture, dirt or chemicals may harm your vehicle’s finish.
To protect the new, clear coat/base coat and vinyl surfaces present
on some new vehicles, it is recommended the signs be removed
regularly and both the signs and vehicle be cleaned and dried. Pay
close attention, especially for the first 90 days of use for any
changes in your vehicle finish. A generous waxing of both the
surface where the signs will be placed and the back of the sign
itself will help prevent damage.
