The award honors a member of each campus who truly displays Porter pride every day in their words and actions. Along with the honor, the Maroon Apple comes with a monetary gift card and a traveling trophy to be displayed in the classroom for the remainder of the school year. For the first semester of the 2017-2018 school year, the foundation received applications for many worthy recipients, but two stood out for their continued efforts to make LTHS a better place to learn and teach.
