Plast scouts competed in front of a live audience for the title of “Best Taras Shevchenko Poetry Reciter”. Our judges, Rianna Kandia, Oksana Shevchuk and Ivan Marynovsky, had a difficult task of selecting winners as everyone did an incredible job showcasing their talent. Poetry recitations were judged on memorization, expression, and articulation in three age categories: All participants were awarded gifts. In addition, children learned about the life of Taras Shevchenko through art, word and song, and his profound impact on Ukrainian language and culture.
