24. RW HS Graduations

Commencement & Graduation Ceremonies In the early years, the Wolstein Center was home to only two local High School Graduation and two Commencement Ceremonies, which included Cleveland State University. With a marketing plan in place, and sent out to all area high schools, Olmsted Falls came on board in 2004. Midpark and Berea High Schools followed in 2005, and several more were added in recent years. What began in the early 90’s as ‘Graduation Weekend’, soon became ‘Graduation Week’, as the ninth high school ceremony was added in 2009. Also included in the additional mix of higher education institutions were John Carroll University and Ursuline College. With an average of approximately 5,000 family and friends in attendance for each ceremony, ’Graduation Week’ provides Cleveland State University with an easy way to recruit future students to the CSU campus community.
