CHUMAK WAY TO<br />
NORTH AMERICA<br />
What is it?<br />
I<br />
t is a project organized by veterans of ATO and supported by<br />
“ATO Veteran’s Union of Kyiv” and sportsmen.<br />
The ride will cover 10,000 km. through 19 states or provinces,<br />
include stops in major Canadian Cities such as: Vancouver, Edmonton,<br />
Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Hamilton, Ottawa, and Montreal, in<br />
duration will take place from May to August – 100 days.<br />
The cyclists will stop in major cities to show the latest films<br />
about the war from the Donbas front, provide stories by the riders<br />
and ATO members about the war, and interactive dialogue with<br />
the audiences.<br />
Part of the presentations will include new product trends from<br />
Ukraine, displays of Ukrainian brand name products, new technology<br />
emerging from Ukraine and projects available.<br />
Also the media sponsor from Ukraine Channel 1 + 1 will be looking<br />
for subjects to air in Ukraine about the Canadian Ukrainian<br />
Diaspora and life in Canada, success stories, etc.<br />
Any sales profits of souvenirs or products will go to assist ATO<br />
veterans and anyone that has suffered because of the war.<br />
What are the goals of the project?<br />
Show Ukrainian spirit around the world and especially in<br />
Ukraine, improve the image of Ukraine, unite Ukrainians around<br />
the world, promote companies and innovations from Ukraine, and<br />
finally assist those that have suffered because of the War in Donbas,<br />
Ukraine.<br />
What can we do as a Ukrainian community?<br />
Join the Chumak Way cyclists along the route as cyclists or runners,<br />
especially in proximity of major Canadian centres. Assist with<br />
lodging and meals and support along the route.<br />
Promote the event to other Canadian Ukrainians, involve our<br />
organizations to support this project, invite non-Ukrainians to the<br />
events to find out about the reality of the war, get Canadian media<br />
to keep events of the War in Ukraine current for the world to see.<br />
There are more stops along the way.<br />

in Winnipeg starts Tuesday, May 29 th !<br />

10 101.5FM in Winnipeg aired Nasha<br />
Kasha - a Ukrainian Almanac. The<br />
program is 28-minutes of stories and music<br />
about Ukrainian life lived remarkably. The<br />
program has been airing on 7 other campus<br />
and community radio stations in Quebec<br />
and Ontario since May 20<strong>16</strong>. The show is<br />
hosted by well-known journalist and musician<br />
Steve Andrusiak.<br />
The shows are ad-free.<br />
Kasha is any grain boiled in water or milk.<br />
It is restorative, warm and like life - a bit<br />
messy from time to time. It is “nasha” because<br />
