В этом году внутреняя энергия детей, встречается c дизайном. Фирма Larice, впервые со своей коллекцией Весна-Лето,<br />

ожидает выставку CBME “Мама”и”Малыш”. Коллекцию этого года, украшает незаменимая для Larice веселая и живая тема.<br />

С проектом развлечения и поднятия настроения детям, отправляемся в путь. В этом процессе, душевной и денамичной<br />

одеждой, хотим открыть мерцающий мир в глазах детей. B коллекции приятный дизайн смешивается с живыми цветами.<br />

В этом, году внемание привлекают мальчиковые и девочковые наборы, даполняющие друг друга. Оригинальные узоры<br />

одежды - самое красивое отражение веселого детского мира. На одежде, для девочек элегантные штрихи совмещаются<br />

с гармоничными цветами. Узоры цветов, в этом году занимают не последнее место. У мальчиков , Larice настаивает<br />

на динамичные полосы и живые цвета. Используемые в расцветке нейтральные тона, придают особый вид. Дизайн,<br />

привлекает внимание подборкой гармоничных цветов. Иногда контрастами, а иногда переходящими тонами. Larice, в<br />

новой коллекции предстанет перед нами в новом виде. В сфере создания узоров на уровне марки и на модельной основе<br />

идет в тему. В этом году, мы увидим и комбинированные модели используемые в группе с отдельными изделиями. Во<br />

время создания этих комбинаций,следовали тематическим путем. И в следствии этого, появились изделия имеющие<br />

Основанная в 1987 году под названием Tülay Tekstil, наша фирма начала набирать активные обороты, опираясь в<br />

adventure!<br />

We’ve made an impressive entrance to <strong>2019</strong> with a full and vibrant issues.<br />

Rather than stopping production and working in the times when the<br />

economy is troubled, we believe that working harder will bring good days.<br />

It is possible to see <strong>Baby</strong> & <strong>Kid</strong> <strong>Store</strong> wherever the industry exists. We<br />

have our booths at important fairs where many national and international<br />

visitors will take part.<br />

On 17-19 January, we will take the place of the sector in Pitti Imagine<br />

Bimbo, Italy. We will also be in Playtime Paris fair 26-28 January in France<br />

and <strong>Kid</strong>’s Time on 20-22 February in Poland and CJF fair, 25-28 February in<br />

Russia.<br />

Poland, Russia and Ukraine thereby reinforcing<br />

Victoria Secret will dazzle in<br />

LINEXPO <strong>2019</strong> fair<br />

Mustafa Nazik, Chairman of All Underwear<br />

Industrialists Association,<br />

said, “As Linexpo Istanbul Lingerie<br />

& Hosiery Fair, we are preparing to open our<br />

doors on 6th of February, with more than 150<br />

exhibitors, all of which are domestic producers.<br />

Fair will mostly host visitors from Arab<br />

and North African countries, especially Balkans,<br />

Russia and the Turkic Republics. We are<br />

the country that dominates the production<br />

of textile and leader in this field in the world<br />

after China. Turkey noted significant momentum<br />

over the years on this issue. However, the<br />

production quality of the fabric variety increased.<br />

The textile sector follows fashion. In<br />

this process, as TIGSAD, our association has<br />

pioneered the development of the sector and<br />

managed to raise awareness about the lingerie<br />

sector. Manufacturing firms’ quality standards<br />

in Turkey are in good levels. As a result,<br />

we have a good profile on the world market in<br />

the field of socks.<br />

Roadshow to 80 countries<br />

Stating that the satisfaction of the participants<br />

and the visitors is equal for Linexpo, he said,<br />

“Therefore, we allocate a serious budget for<br />

the promotional activities of our fair. In return,<br />

Linexpo family continues to increase the<br />

number of exhibitors and visitors every year. I<br />

want to declare that this year KOSGEB support<br />

for our fair has started this year, which is<br />

organized in cooperation with Socks Industrialists’<br />

Association (ÇSD) and All Underwear<br />

and Industrialists Association (TİGSAD). With<br />

the support of Istanbul Ready-to-Wear and<br />

Apparel Exporters’ Association (İHKİB) and<br />

İstanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO), we are<br />

conducting International Competitiveness of<br />

Turkish Shirt Sector (URGE) and in this context<br />

we make a very strong roadshow to reach<br />

more visitors. We have reached 80 different<br />

countries with the contributions of the members<br />

of the association. With these efforts, we<br />

aim to fold the successful results we achieved<br />

earlier this year.”<br />

The Victoria Secret wind will<br />

blow<br />

With support from the Ministry of Economy,<br />

Linexpo <strong>2019</strong> will host Victoria Secret model<br />

as a campaign face. The third hall in the fair<br />

will include design departments of universities<br />

and foreign trade - cargo companies.<br />

We are not considered as exporters<br />

but our exports are very<br />

high<br />

Mustafa Nazik, Chairman, said, “The sector’s<br />

only problem is not direct exports, we are not<br />

considered as exporters because we do through<br />

cargo companies but our exports are very<br />

high. In this case, the numerical data is not<br />

reflected in the line we should be. However,<br />

we have considerable numbers and rates in<br />

textile exports. We export high quantities of<br />

products to our customers all over the world.<br />

In addition, the lack of qualified personnel<br />

in the apparel industry also is another problem,<br />

the staff is not trained in this area.” He<br />

added further that they are planning to have<br />

young people for profession in this field and<br />

that they are planning various studies to encourage<br />

them and to train them in ready-made<br />

clothing.<br />

Genç Tigsad members are ready<br />

for the future<br />

Genç TIGSAD, (Young TIGSAD) which consists<br />

of young people between the ages of 18-32,<br />

has been in existence for 3 years. Young Tigsad<br />

members constituting the face of social media,<br />

are growing in the center of the work. For<br />

this reason, we are in heart of Yesildirek to be<br />

closer to our members again and we are open<br />

to everyone and we are going to run our work<br />

in this new office. For new year, he wishes all<br />

of our country a year of production with a peaceful,<br />

healthy and stable economy.<br />

<strong>Baby</strong> Expo 2018, the<br />

largest trade fair of<br />

children’s goods in<br />

Ukraine, will be held on<br />

26 – 29 April in Kiev<br />

<strong>Baby</strong> Expo has been successful<br />

in bringing together manufacturers,<br />

distributors, importers<br />

and retailers of children’s goods for<br />

the past 22 years. BABY EXPO is approved<br />

by the Global Association of<br />

the Exhibition Industry (UFI). The<br />

approval requires regular audit and<br />

confirms high organizational level of<br />

this international event.<br />

Almost 300 exhibitors from Ukraine,<br />

Turkey, China, Poland, Italy, Belarus,<br />

Russia, and Moldova will participate<br />

in this year’s edition of BABY EXPO.<br />

Over 500 trademarks of various children’s<br />

goods (including both world<br />

famous brands and young domestic<br />

TM) will be exhibited.<br />

Chinese exposition is the largest one<br />

among foreign exhibitors. 17 manufacturing<br />

companies will offer children’s<br />

wear, footwear, accessories,<br />

baby products, and a wide variety of<br />

toys, i.e. construction sets, transformers,<br />

radio controlled toys, etc.<br />

Turkish exposition is the second largest<br />

one among foreign exhibitors.<br />

It merely includes manufacturers of<br />

children’s clothes and textiles.<br />

It should be noted that over 50% of<br />

exhibitors are Ukrainian manufacturers.<br />

From the first edition of BABY<br />

EXPO, its organizers have been doing<br />

their best to support domestic manufacturers.<br />

Best Toy National Contest held since<br />

2004, one-of-a-kind in Ukraine, can<br />

be a good example. All toys and games<br />

submitted shall be manufactured<br />

in Ukraine. The contest-winning toys<br />

and games will be exhibited at a special<br />

demo stand at BABY EXPO. School<br />

Wear competition has been held for<br />

over ten years. School wear collections<br />

2018 will be showcased on the<br />

runway by little models and displayed<br />

on fashion mannequins in show-room<br />

area.<br />

Over the past five years, the number of<br />

Ukrainian exhibitors has doubled and<br />

a lot of Ukrainian products favorably<br />

competing with foreign counterparts<br />

have been successfully brought to external<br />

markets. The increase in their<br />

quality and competitive capability is<br />

confirmed by the results of both Best<br />

Toy contest and School Wear competition.<br />

that they increase by 70% in domestic<br />

production collection, Saraç said, “At<br />

the moment we have 12 model which<br />

is manufactured in Turkey. These travel<br />

systems include a wide range of<br />

products, such as strollers, duplex<br />

strollers, cane strollers, playgrounds,<br />

feeding chairs, home-style main<br />

straps. There are two new models in<br />

import. Travel system and mother, as<br />

well as equipment and tools, we continue<br />

our work by enlarging our targets.<br />

This year we will add a new and<br />

very dynamic model to the European<br />

giants. We plan to offer this model to<br />

our consumers in <strong>2019</strong>.”<br />

Stating that they achieved the targets<br />

of last year in exportation, Gökhan Saraç<br />

said, “We aim to reach the highest<br />

quality products to our dealers and to<br />

the final consumers at the lowest prices<br />

after the textile, perfumery and<br />

cosmetics. This year our performance<br />

is above our projected growth rate. In<br />

the domestic market, we imported<br />

aventedor model we liked in the<br />

European market last year. We exported<br />

that model to Iran. We were very<br />

pleased with the sales chart in Iran. In<br />

other words, we are good at not only<br />

importing the product but also exportation.<br />

Mustafa Güleçyüz shared their success stories with us.<br />

Defne <strong>Baby</strong>, whose quality and original<br />

designs are at the forefront, is offered<br />

to the consumers with its color,<br />

Mustafa Güleçyüz said that they plan<br />

long-term investment in meeting all<br />

the needs of babies from stroller to feeding<br />

bottle, from pajamas to t-shirt.<br />

Mustafa Güleçyüz said, “We managed<br />

to take place at all sales points in Turkey<br />

soon, as we gained a good sales<br />

graph. Our team continues their work<br />

in a controlled and systematic way. In<br />

addition, Defne <strong>Baby</strong> began to make a<br />

name for itself in the foreign market.<br />

In this direction, we export to countries<br />

such as Germany and Serbia and<br />

we are planning to work to increase<br />

the number of regions and countries<br />

we export. We also export all of our<br />

products from our factory to every<br />

point of Europe with our exporter<br />

company DevTeks.<br />

Defne <strong>Baby</strong> wind in socks<br />

fashion<br />

It is possible to say that socks have<br />

recently become a fashion. The socks<br />

selected according to their colors and<br />

patterns became parts to complement<br />

for the combinations.<br />

Informing about their production<br />

process, Mustafa Güleçyüz, said, “Traditionally,<br />

pink for girls, blue for boys<br />

is more preferred. We use clearer, less<br />

eye-catching patterns. Emphasizing<br />

that they have at least 20 audits per<br />

year, Güleçyüz emphasized the health<br />

criteria they pay attention in production<br />

by saying that “we eliminate the<br />

substances that may be harmful to the<br />

babies during the production phase<br />

and we are more careful.””<br />

Our goal in <strong>2019</strong> is to start<br />

to produce Defne <strong>Baby</strong><br />

products in its own factory<br />

Mustafa Güleçyüz mentioned the<br />

<strong>2019</strong> targets as follows: “For Defne<br />

<strong>Baby</strong> products, we have prepared<br />

a production plant of 16 thousand<br />

square meter in Hayrabolu, Tekirdag.<br />

However, due to the economic<br />

fluctuations in our country, we have<br />

postponed the start of activity of our<br />

factory for a short period of time. Our<br />

biggest target in <strong>2019</strong> is to start production<br />

in this factory and increase<br />

our production portfolio by including<br />

different product groups.”<br />

success!<br />

The beginning of the summer in Kielce was<br />

marked with fashion presentations. Exhibitors<br />

and visitors from and abroad, new<br />

merchandise galore presented by producers,<br />

top brands for children which proudly<br />

showcased their collection, interesting meetings<br />

and compelling workshops - this is a<br />

nutshell description of the première edition<br />

of the B2B Clothes and Textiles Expo Fashion<br />

For <strong>Kid</strong>s.<br />

This exhibition was held on 28 and 29 June<br />

in Targi Kielce and brought together companies<br />

from 7 countries, inducing: Belgium,<br />

Denmark, Italy, Spain, Great Britain, France<br />

and Turkey. The two-day event crafted<br />

around children’s fashion was held in the<br />

largest Targi Kielce’s Expo Hall - the E Expo<br />

Pavilion.<br />

A professional catwalk was made especially<br />

for the new event. The catwalk was the stage<br />

for the little models to presented collections<br />

for upcoming seasons. Nearly half a<br />

thousand industry visitors and business-insiders<br />

from, inter alia Germany, Ukraine,<br />

Russia, Slovakia, Romania, the Czech Republic,<br />

Bulgaria, the Democratic Republic of<br />

the Congo and Canada became familiar with<br />

producers’ and distributors’ offer.<br />

A global-scale fashion event<br />

The creators and organisers of the wellknown<br />

<strong>Kid</strong>s’ Time expo enjoy a vast experience;<br />

therefore the new event on the<br />

Europe’s map of child products and services<br />

business sector’s meetings was bound for<br />

success.<br />

- We are satisfied with the fact that we have<br />

participated in the B2B Clothes and Textiles<br />

Expo Fashion For <strong>Kid</strong>s - says Ismail Hakki<br />

Kiraz from the Turkish Kimpeks Tekstil<br />

company. - We came to the Kielce for the<br />

first time this year and participated in another<br />

event which focused on toys and products<br />

for children. We have been very contented<br />

with our presence at both Fashion for<br />

<strong>Kid</strong>s and <strong>Kid</strong>s’ Time.<br />

The participants and exhibitors emphasized<br />

the international aspect of the Fashion<br />

for <strong>Kid</strong>s.<br />

- Companies from all over Europe were represent<br />

at the exhibition. There were stands<br />

from Denmark next to ours. I also saw stands<br />

from Spain and Italy - comments Danijela<br />

Pantic, a representative of France’s Mini-<br />

Mignon.<br />

Little fashion models on the<br />

catwalk<br />

The Fashion for <strong>Kid</strong>s featured fashion<br />

shows as its main attraction. Over sixty<br />

children age 3 to 10 years walked down the<br />

catwalk and professionally presented the<br />

latest trends. The fashion show was staged<br />

on both expo days.<br />

The Fashion for <strong>Kid</strong>s’ fashion shows were<br />

hugely interesting. We had the chance to<br />

admire talented little models, which is not<br />

often a case at this type of exhibitions. The<br />

shows were organized very professionally.<br />

In my opinion the show was the strongest<br />

point on the expo agenda - says Danijela<br />

Pantic, from MiniMignon.<br />

The brands boasted their latest collections<br />

for the autumn / winter 2018 and for the<br />

spring / summer <strong>2019</strong>. The clothes and<br />

garments presentation were complemented<br />

with footwear and accessories of all<br />

kinds: umbrellas, hair ornaments, jewellery,<br />

handbags and backpacks.<br />

Fashion for <strong>Kid</strong>s for education<br />

The children’s textile industry has been<br />

vibrantly developing. Russia at the same<br />

time has become a prospective target market.<br />

The expo agenda featured a meeting<br />

with Elena Pismenskaja . How to enter the<br />

children’s clothing market in Russia, marketing<br />

trends in the Eastern markets were<br />

discussed in the course of the session. In<br />

her presentation, Pismenskaja stressed the<br />

fact that the Fashion For <strong>Kid</strong>s expo offers a<br />

great opportunity to gain get new business<br />

leads and expand knowledge about foreign<br />

markets. Purchase planning for the needs<br />

of your company was discussed by Agnieszka<br />

Socha, a specialist in small commercial<br />

companies management and logistics.<br />

Dagmara Habiera was also present at the<br />

expo, for years Mrs. Habiera has been into<br />

training and consulting projects for Visual<br />

Merchandising. The Fashion for <strong>Kid</strong>s offered<br />

the chance to attend Mrs. Habiera’s lectures<br />

and workshops.<br />

of showing the entire stock and focus on the<br />

elements our client finds most important<br />

Designers’ Zones, the Influencers Zone<br />

Expo Fashion For <strong>Kid</strong>s organisers meet<br />

the textile industry’s expectations and needs<br />

and therefore create the opportunity<br />

to establish business contacts between exhibitors<br />

and designers.<br />

children’s fashion in a new and fresh way.<br />

The expo offers a great opportunity to establish<br />

<strong>Kid</strong>s exhibitors’ reactions and attitudes<br />

On the second day of the exhibition, over<br />

a dozen bloggers from all over Poland<br />

came to Kielce to see the première edition<br />

of the children’s clothes expo and<br />

a highly-developed,<br />

domestic and international players.<br />

In 2018, the French textile industry<br />

(including apparel) was comprised<br />

of approximately 548 companies<br />

averaging 20 employees with a total<br />

workforce of 58,240 employees.<br />

Apparel accounts for 43.9% of the<br />

market’s total value, while fabrics<br />

represent about 30%. The industry in<br />

France, although large, is dominated<br />

by several small, niche companies selling<br />

a small quantity of highly technical<br />

and high value products.<br />

In France, the main consumers of<br />

technical textiles are industry (21%),<br />

transportation (20%), medical (16%),<br />

protection (10%), construction<br />

(10%), and agro textiles (8%). The<br />

main distributors of clothing are specialized<br />

chains (23%), independent<br />

sellers (13%), and super/hypermarkets<br />

(14%). Similar to previous years,<br />

the major textile suppliers by country,<br />

are China, followed by Italy, Bangladesh,<br />

Turkey, India, Germany, Tunisia,<br />

The U.S. textile exports to France are<br />

mainly composed of sportswear and<br />

technical textiles. In addition, U.S.<br />

leads fashion by introducing its 2020 winter collection in<br />

Caravanserais, hundred years old mosques, Inns,<br />

Turkish baths, Iskender kebabs and of course chestnut<br />

sweet bring the mind the beautiful city Bursa which<br />

lately has a reputation as a baby textile production<br />

center both in domestic and international markets.<br />

Especially Producers which gathered in Vişne Caddesi<br />

(Cherry Avenue) made this street as trade area. It<br />

became a famous market that draws attention of foreign<br />

companies due to Works of BEKSIAD, support of BTSO<br />

and various Exhibitions. CANTOY lead this genetarion<br />

when it opened its first magazine in Vişne Caddesi<br />

(Cherry Avenue) in 2010 and we have visited CANTOY’S<br />

new factory in Kestel. Here is our reportage with Mr.<br />

dressing for 0-10 age group<br />

under its Dear <strong>Baby</strong> brand. The company<br />

expands its product range for<br />

0-3 years aged babies. Exporting to<br />

Russia, Iran and the Arab countries,<br />

Dear <strong>Baby</strong> aims to boost exports for<br />

Stating that they attach more importance<br />

on baby kid dressing sets in<br />

<strong>2019</strong>, Owner of Çınar Tekstil, Saniye<br />

Demir, said, “We design our products<br />

Turkey’s 2023 export goal for textiles is<br />

USD 20 billion<br />

Turkey also remains<br />

textile and apparel<br />

manufacturing countries<br />

and 6th largest supplier<br />

in the world and the<br />

3rd largest supplier to<br />

the EU. Turkey’s textile<br />

sector, aims to meet<br />

3,67’s% of the total<br />

exports by 2023<br />

Clothing and textiles is among the<br />

largest and best-performing sectors<br />

of the Turkish economy, accounting<br />

for around 7% of the country’s<br />

GDP. There are some 56,000 textile and<br />

clothing companies operating in the<br />

country and they employ around two<br />

million people. Turkey ranked 8th and<br />

4th in global cotton production and<br />

consumption, respectively. The country<br />

ranked third in organic cotton production<br />

after India and Syria.<br />

The clothing and textile industry is largely<br />

based on cotton. Domestic output<br />

does not fully meet demand, which<br />

makes Turkey the world’s third-largest<br />

cotton importer after China and Bangladesh.<br />

Clothing and textiles accounted<br />

for nearly 20% of Turkey’s total exports<br />

by volume.<br />

Turkish clothing and textile exports<br />

have been increasing over the past few<br />

years but their share in the country’s total<br />

exports has been shrinking. The clothing<br />

industry exported some 65% of its<br />

production and generated USD 15bn in<br />

foreign sales. Cotton clothing accounted<br />

for as much as 80% of exports. The<br />

Turkish clothing industry was the 3rd<br />

largest exporter to the European Union<br />

and the 6th largest globally.<br />

To support the industry’s climb up the<br />

quality ladder, the Turkish government<br />

has launched “Turquality”, a program<br />

designed to provide assistance in marketing,<br />

quality upgrade and strategic<br />

positioning.<br />

Turkey’s export goal<br />

Turkey’s 2023 export goal for textiles is<br />

USD 20 billion, securing a 3.6% share<br />

of the global textile market. The sector<br />

aims to cover 3.67% of Turkey’s total<br />

exports by 2023, with the following targets:<br />

Fiber and yarn totaling USD 2.5 billion,<br />

woven fabric totaling USD 5 billion,<br />

knitted fabrics totaling USD 3.5 billion,<br />

technical textiles and non-woven surface<br />

fabrics totaling USD 4 billion, textiles<br />

for the home totaling USD 4 billion, other<br />

textiles totaling USD 1 billion.<br />

In order to reach these goals of the strategy;<br />

some crucial actions, being implemented<br />

by Turkey are:<br />

Carrying out projects on R&D and development<br />

New record pleasure in export family:<br />

The highest November export of all<br />

times with 15.5 billion dollars<br />

* Export in November has been 15.5 billion dollars by increasing<br />

9.5 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. By<br />

reaching highest export in November of all times, it is reached the<br />

third highest monthly export figures.<br />

* Turkey Exporters’ Assembly (TIM) Chairman Ismail Gülle said, “We<br />

realized the highest monthly export in history in October. This time<br />

we are happy that we reached the highest November export of all<br />

the times. We are moving with our intensive efforts of our exporters<br />

to ensure end of year goal of 170 billions of dollar. While we carry the<br />

exports to new records, Mr. President has given us the good news that<br />

we will enter into a strong investment phase in <strong>2019</strong> by launching<br />

a new investment and employment campaign. We will also support<br />

the mobilization of employment as exporters and focus more on<br />

production and export.”<br />

According to November export<br />

data, exports rose by 9.5 percent<br />

to $ 15.5 billion with<br />

respect to same period of last year.<br />

Thus, by exceeding the exports value<br />

of 14.2 billion dollars in November<br />

2013, it is reached highest exports in<br />

November in the history. In the last<br />

12 months, exports increased by 7.8<br />

percent to 168.1 billion dollars. In the<br />

first 11 months, exports increased by<br />

7.7 percent to 154.2 billion dollars. In<br />

November, after October and March<br />

2018, the highest monthly exports of<br />

all time were realized.<br />

Evaluating the export figures, Turkey<br />

Exporters Assembly (TIM) Chairman<br />

İsmail Gülle said, “2018 is a year of record-breaking.<br />

In October, we had the<br />

highest monthly exports in history.<br />

This time we have the happiness of<br />

signing the highest November export<br />

of all-time. We are moving forward<br />

with confident steps to our end-year<br />

target of 170 million dollars with the<br />

intense efforts of our exporters.<br />

Gülle: “Human resource is<br />

one of the most important<br />

issues for exporters.”<br />

Gülle, who evaluated the recent economic<br />

developments, said: “As we<br />

move exports to new records, Mr.<br />

President has launched a new investment<br />

and employment mobilization<br />

and gave the good news that we will<br />

be able to enter <strong>2019</strong> strongly. We<br />

were looking forward to such a campaign.<br />

We, as exporters, will support<br />

mobilization of employment and we<br />

will focus more on production and<br />

export. Human resources is one of the<br />

most important issues for exporters.<br />

Reducing the tax burden on employment<br />

and raising qualified human<br />

resources are among the issues that<br />

we give most importance. In addition<br />

to the mobilization of employment, it<br />

may be beneficial to employ SSI employer<br />

is a huge economic<br />

force worldwide.<br />

China is one of the<br />

largest influencers in<br />

the textile industry<br />

today. They make<br />

the most clothing in<br />

the world, as well<br />

as being the largest<br />

exporter of textiles.<br />

The current world population is<br />

7.1 billion; this number is expected<br />

to grow to 9.2 billion by 2050. The<br />

bulk of this growth will take place<br />

in underdeveloped and developing<br />

countries.<br />

Population and economic growth<br />

will stimulate rapid increases in<br />

textile production and consumption,<br />

which, in turn, will drive significant<br />

increases in the textile industry’s<br />

absolute energy use, water<br />

use, and carbon dioxide (CO2) and<br />

other environmentally harmful<br />

emissions.<br />

China is the world’s top textile<br />

exporter with 40% of world textile<br />

and clothing exports. The textile<br />

and clothing industry is the<br />

largest manufacturing industry in<br />

China with about 24,000 enterprises.<br />

China is the largest clothing<br />

producer in the world and has the<br />

largest production capacity for textile<br />

products consisting of cotton,<br />

manmade fibers and silk.<br />

China exported $274 billion in textiles,<br />

a volume that was nearly seven<br />

times that of India, the second<br />

largest exporter with $40 billion in<br />

exports. This accounted for 43.1%<br />

of global clothing exports.<br />

destroyed many mills and their<br />

supply chains. They did not fully<br />

recover until the 1950s, at which<br />

point many of the major tycoons<br />

had moved their empires to Hong<br />

Kong to avoid persecution, while<br />

the rest of the industry was monopolized<br />

by the government.<br />

China’s advantages<br />

China’s big advantage in the textile<br />

industry is price. Their exports are<br />

usually cheaper than many other<br />

countries like Brazil or Thailand.<br />

The reason that China can do this<br />

so easily is due to the small amount<br />

of pay they offer their employees.<br />

Compared to other countries,<br />

they are among the lowest in pay.<br />

Although this doesn’t benefit Chinese<br />

workers, it works to the advantage<br />

of countries trying to buy<br />

their products.<br />

Another advantage China has is<br />

their scientific community. China<br />

is a country on the cutting edge<br />

of science and has been for decades.<br />

This enables them to come up<br />

with new synthetic fibers which<br />

help create their textiles. They also<br />

have some of the largest quantities<br />

of cotton and silk available on the<br />

market, which is important not<br />

only in the creation of their textiles,<br />

but because they can sell it to<br />

countries that cannot grow it as<br />

Playworld Middle East is the only trade exhibition in the Middle East dedicated to the entire product range of kids’ products. The exhibition<br />

presents worldwide manufacturers and their innovations as well as regional distributors of renowned brands representing<br />

everything from toys, hobbies, baby products to sports equipment, children’s furniture and so much more.<br />

The playworld Middle East will take place on 3 days from Monday, 18. March to Wednesday, 20. March <strong>2019</strong> in Dubai.<br />

Most international brands are represented locally in Dubai since most of the toys in the GCC and other “difficult-to-reach” markets<br />

are routed from the UAE. Also for new brands and products, the exhibition has proven to be a great platform to enter the Middle East<br />

market for toys and games, a market which is becoming increasingly mature and better regulated.<br />
