Trident CSP successfully hosted 'Azure Me - Trident
CSP Azure Community Evening 2019' on 18th
October 2019 at Park Street Mews. We had a packed
venue with around 40 ISVs attending to explore the
values of Azure Technology and understand the
benefits of partnering up with Trident CSP.
Trident Corporation Country Manager Hilmey Niyas
opened the event with values of Trident CSP, which
was followed by Territory Channel Manager of
Microsoft, Ashiq Niyaz, who presented on the Future of
Azure. Trident CSP BDM Pulasthi Palansuriya and
BDE Nasif Nazim spoke about Trident CSP’s value
propositions and benefits. Thereafter, Shameera
Prajapriya, Founder/Principle Architect at Impact IT
Solutions shared his Azure success story. Sajeetharan
Sinnathurai, Cloud Solution Architect of Microsoft,
presented on ‘Why Azure?’. The event ended with a panel
discussion moderated by Hasitha Willarachchi, MVP and
Principle Consultant Thakral. The panelists were Anton
Canisious - Partner Sales Lead of Microsoft, Gogula
Aryalingam - Lead Architect of BI Fortude and Shameera

STORY OF THE MONTH
Analytics That Matter
Implementing a business intelligence system has traditionally
followed the same process, with very little variation. The standard
process encompasses extracting data from source systems,
transforming them into an analytical form, and finally loading it onto
purpose-built data warehouses. After that, you create semantic data
models, reports and dashboards using the data warehouse. One of
the biggest issues when implementing such a system is the
provisioning infrastructure. The configuration of servers and
licensing complexities often distract and impede the actual
implementation. For instance, it is difficult to estimate the optimal
server configuration upfront. So, we over-provision and end up
paying far too much. When budgets are low, we under-provision, but
the solution eventually grows, and we end up facing performance
Azure makes provisioning infrastructure and a lot of other things
much easier. It allows us to start an analytics solution as a pilot,
provisioning only the infrastructure we assume we need, and then
scale as more compute and storage is needed. This way we only pay
for what we use, just like we do with regular utilities. When the
solution grows, scaling up is a flick of a switch or a drag of a slider and
takes just a few minutes. What’s more is that Azure provides a
plethora of data services that can be used for any type of analytics,
from self-service business intelligence to artificial intelligence, and
not just traditional business intelligence that is mentioned above. All
we have to do is choose the best fit for the customer requirements in
terms of solution, infrastructure and technology services. The other
best part is that these services keep getting better, and updates are
automatic and free in many cases.

enjoying the Visual studio integration with Azure which makes it
easier to code, build, deploy and debug large scale applications.

TRIDENT CSP PEP PROGRAM
IS GOING STRONG
Trident CSP Microsoft Partner Enablement
Program (PEP) is almost at its end; we
conducted one-on-one training sessions for the
participants of Azure and M365 as a part of the
program. Participants are expected to
complete Microsoft Certified Professional
(MCP) exams within the month of October
2019. Trident CSP and Microsoft's objective of
running this program is to certify more than 30
individuals as MCPs on Azure and M365.
