Gia Cafe & Bistro brings focused Sri
Lankan flavours into the middle of Leura
village and fits neatly into a Blue
Mountains day built around walks, views
and slow drives. You find it at the lower
end of Leura Mall, near the corner of
Megalong Street, a short walk from the
station and main shops. The room is
compact, about 50 seats, with a simple
fitout that suits both daytime trade and
early dinners.
Breakfast and lunch work well for locals
and visitors who want flavour without a
long stop. You see dishes like a Celone
curry omelette, potato rosti with house
cured ocean trout and straightforward
eggs on toast alongside lighter lunch
plates such as fish and chips or
sandwiches. Portions support people
heading out to or returning from nearby
lookouts.
In the evening the menu shifts to Sri
Lankan bistro dishes designed for
sharing. Curries based on seafood and
meat, rice, papadums and snacks like
tuna croquettes sit beside a compact
drinks list with wine, beer and classic
cocktails. Early closing times suit an
overnight stay in Leura or Katoomba
rather than a late night out.
