Afgasning fra mat<strong>er</strong>ial<strong>er</strong><br />
De fleste mat<strong>er</strong>ial<strong>er</strong>, som byggemat<strong>er</strong>ial<strong>er</strong><br />
ell<strong>er</strong> inventar, afgiv<strong>er</strong> gass<strong>er</strong> og dampe, d<strong>er</strong><br />
<strong>kan</strong> irrit<strong>er</strong>e. Det skyldes, at pro<strong>du</strong>kt<strong>er</strong>ne indehold<strong>er</strong><br />
stoff<strong>er</strong>, d<strong>er</strong> <strong>kan</strong> være sundhedsskadelige.<br />
Disse stoff<strong>er</strong> <strong>er</strong> bl.a. opløsningsmidl<strong>er</strong>,<br />
bindemidl<strong>er</strong>, hærd<strong>er</strong>e og farvestoff<strong>er</strong>.<br />
Afgasningen <strong>er</strong> størst, når mat<strong>er</strong>ial<strong>er</strong>ne <strong>er</strong> nye<br />
ell<strong>er</strong> lige har fået vedligeholdelses- ell<strong>er</strong><br />
plejebehandling. Normalt aftag<strong>er</strong> den i løbet<br />
af nogle få måned<strong>er</strong>.<br />
Vælg mat<strong>er</strong>ial<strong>er</strong> med omhu<br />
Vælg så vidt muligt mat<strong>er</strong>ial<strong>er</strong>, d<strong>er</strong> <strong>er</strong> ov<strong>er</strong>fladebehandlede<br />
fra fabrikkens side. På den<br />
måde foregår den første kraftige afgasning<br />
på fabrikken, og d<strong>er</strong> afgives ikke så store<br />
mængd<strong>er</strong> gass<strong>er</strong> og dampe i boligen.<br />
Kræv<strong>er</strong> mat<strong>er</strong>ial<strong>er</strong> jævnlig plejebehandling,<br />
medfør<strong>er</strong> det yd<strong>er</strong>lig<strong>er</strong>e afgasning i p<strong>er</strong>iod<strong>er</strong>.<br />
Hurtig afgasning fra mat<strong>er</strong>ial<strong>er</strong> <strong>kan</strong><br />
opnås ved:<br />
• Ekstra god ventilation af rummet i nogle<br />
måned<strong>er</strong>.<br />
• Så høj temp<strong>er</strong>atur som muligt i rummet.<br />
Anvend kun mat<strong>er</strong>ial<strong>er</strong> til d<strong>er</strong>es formål<br />
Mat<strong>er</strong>ial<strong>er</strong>, som bruges udendørs, <strong>er</strong> behandlet<br />
med stærke midl<strong>er</strong> for at kunne modstå<br />
vind og vejr. Disse mat<strong>er</strong>ial<strong>er</strong> må aldrig bruges<br />
indendørs, da stoff<strong>er</strong>ne <strong>kan</strong> være sundhedsskadelige,<br />
hvis de afgives til indeklimaet.<br />
Eksempl<strong>er</strong> på mat<strong>er</strong>ial<strong>er</strong>, d<strong>er</strong> aldrig må<br />
benyttes indendørs:<br />
• Vacuumimprægn<strong>er</strong>et træ.<br />
• Træbeskyttelsesmidl<strong>er</strong>, maling<strong>er</strong> og lignende<br />
til udendørs brug.<br />

Brug pro<strong>du</strong>ktets MAL-kode<br />
Maling og lak <strong>er</strong> forsynet med en MAL-kode.<br />
Den angiv<strong>er</strong> med to tal henholdsvis pro<strong>du</strong>ktets<br />
farlighed ved påføringen og ved direkte<br />
kontakt. Jo større tal, jo større sundhedsrisiko.<br />
Vælg så vidt muligt pro<strong>du</strong>kt<strong>er</strong> med den<br />
laveste MAL-kode 00-1.<br />
Dansk Indeklima Mærkning<br />
På indeklimamærkede pro<strong>du</strong>kt<strong>er</strong> <strong>kan</strong> <strong>du</strong> aflæse,<br />
hvor længe afgivelsen af stoff<strong>er</strong> fra<br />
mat<strong>er</strong>ialet <strong>kan</strong> forventes at være til gene i<br />
indeklimaet. Det giv<strong>er</strong> mulighed for at vælge<br />
pro<strong>du</strong>kt<strong>er</strong>, d<strong>er</strong> tag<strong>er</strong> mest mulig hensyn til<br />
indeklimaet.<br />
Gode råd om afgasning<br />
• Vælg pro<strong>du</strong>kt<strong>er</strong> med kort afgasningstid.<br />
På indeklimamærkede pro<strong>du</strong>kt<strong>er</strong> <strong>kan</strong> <strong>du</strong><br />
aflæse afgasningstiden.<br />
• Vælg så vidt muligt pro<strong>du</strong>kt<strong>er</strong> med ov<strong>er</strong>fladebehandling<br />
færdiggjort fra fabrikken.<br />
• Vælg maling og lak med laveste MALkode.<br />
• P<strong>er</strong>son<strong>er</strong> med følsomme luftveje bør ikke<br />
opholde sig i rum, hvor d<strong>er</strong> <strong>er</strong> kraftig<br />
afgasning fra fx nye møbl<strong>er</strong> og mat<strong>er</strong>ial<strong>er</strong><br />
ell<strong>er</strong> nymalede vægge de første 2-4<br />
dage.<br />
• Kemiske lugte tyd<strong>er</strong> på afgasning. Lugt<strong>er</strong><br />
et pro<strong>du</strong>kt ikke, <strong>er</strong> det dog ingen sikk<strong>er</strong>hed<br />
for, at afgasningen <strong>er</strong> slut.<br />
