be conducted in the following<br />

The consular services are<br />

as follows:<br />

• passport issuance/renewal/replacement<br />

• civil registration, i.e.<br />

reports of births and marriages<br />

• authentication and notarisation<br />

of legal documents<br />

• NBI fingerprinting and<br />

certification (recent passportsized<br />

photos required)<br />

• Philippine citizenship<br />

retention/reacquisition and<br />

administering of the oath of<br />

allegiance<br />

• overseas voting registration<br />

Registration of overseas<br />

<strong>Filipino</strong> voters for the 13<br />

May 2019 National Elections<br />

and subsequent elections is<br />

still ongoing until 30<br />

September <strong>2018</strong>.<br />

All citizens of the<br />

Philippines, who are abroad<br />

or will be abroad during the<br />

30-day voting period, commencing<br />

on 13 April 2019<br />

(Philippine time), who are at<br />

least 18 years of age on the<br />

day of the elections and are<br />

not otherwise disqualified by<br />

law may register.<br />

Please note: Consular<br />

Appointment System<br />

In order to deliver more<br />

effective and efficient consular<br />

services the Philippine<br />

Embassy has implemented an<br />

online appointment system<br />

(no walk-in policy).<br />

the Embassy of the<br />

Philippines in Wellington,<br />

New Zealand, in<br />

commemorating the<br />

121st Anniversary of the<br />

Martyrdom of Dr. Jose P.<br />

Rizal at the Embassy<br />

Chancery on 30 December<br />

2017.<br />

Held at the Sentro<br />

Rizal of the Philippine<br />

Embassy, the occasion<br />

began with the singing of<br />

the national anthem,<br />

'Lupang Hinirang', by<br />

all Embassy personnel<br />

and their families.<br />

Ambassador Domingo<br />

gave his welcome<br />

remarks and discussed<br />

the important role of Dr.<br />

Rizal in shaping the<br />

<strong>Filipino</strong> nation, underscoring<br />

his achievements<br />

and the ideals that he<br />

stood for as the<br />

Philippines' foremost<br />

nationalist, patriot and<br />

advocate for reforms<br />

through peaceful means<br />

during the Spanish colonial<br />

period.<br />

As the event’s primary<br />

audience were the youth,<br />

Ambassador Domingo<br />

invited the children of the<br />

officers and staff of the<br />

Embassy as well as the<br />

Embassy’s visitors and<br />

applicants to attentively<br />

watch the films José<br />

Rizal, a biographical<br />

movie directed by<br />

Marilou Diaz-Abaya and<br />

starring Cesar Montano<br />

as José Rizal and Pluma:<br />

Si Rizal, Ang Dakilnag<br />

Manunulat, a GMA<br />

<strong>News</strong> TV Docudrama.<br />

The event culminated<br />

with a simple <strong>Filipino</strong><br />

salu-salo.<br />
