CARBON FIBRE
IMPROVES
PERFORMANCE.
For BMW M Performance Parts, carbon fibre is a key technology
in the development of sporty accessories. Intelligent lightweight
construction – e.g. for the roof, bonnet or boot lid – improves the
specific power-to-weight ratio of the vehicle and thus increases its
dynamics. Carbon fibre also cuts a fine figure with aerodynamic
attachments and with exterior and interior surfaces. Here, the
material shines above all with its race-typical appearance. Three
variants of the material are available:
1 In the CF-SMC-Carbon variant, the hand-crafted production
ensures a previously unattained appearance. The careful manual
processing of the carbon-fibre material creates the special depth
effect and a finely differentiated, multi-layered look.
20'' Y-spoke style 795 M
The high-quality 20'' forged wheels are designed in
Jet Black matt with the colour M logo and milled M
Performance lettering. Also available in Bicolor Ferric
Grey, gloss-milled.
Kidney grille in black high-gloss
Emphasises the sporty and dynamic character of the
vehicle. The surrounds of the front grille come in black
high-gloss.
Side skirt extension, black high-gloss
Enhances the vehicle's athletic character. It is perfectly
tailored to the vehicle design. For a particularly unique,
powerful and dynamic look.
Exterior mirror caps, carbon fibre
Underline the vehicle’s high-tech pedigree, adding an
individual athletic touch.
Side decal, Frozen Black
Underscores the vehicle’s sporty, individual character.
The high-quality material is very resistant, durable and
suitable for car washes.

Carbon fibres made of
carbon are extremely
strong and have excellent
stiffness. They are first
spun into threads, then
woven together and finally
embedded in a plastic
matrix.
2 The classic carbon fibre is coated with varnish. This brings
out the depth effect and the structure of the fabric particularly well.
3 An open-pored carbon-fibre structure was developed especially
for the interiors. The fibres are sealed with a filler and coated with a
thin layer of silk matt protective paint. The structure of the carbonfibre
material remains open and can therefore be felt. Visually and
haptically these surfaces offer a special experience – especially in
combination with Alcantara.
