CONCLUSIONES Actualmente, existen escasos antecedentes a nivel mundial sobre los contenidos de glomal<strong>in</strong>a a través del perfil de suelo, habiéndose realizado la mayoría de los estudios en el horizonte superficial. De aquí que, resulte necesario realizar este tipo de trabajos, debido a que el cambio global requiere un conocimiento de los pools del C en los horizontes en pr<strong>of</strong>undidad del suelo. Si bien en el agroecosistema Pumalal (Ultisol) se encontró una cantidad importante de C-glomalínico con respecto al contenido total de C (6,0% - 8,5%), en el ecosistema San Pablo de Tregua (Andisol), el C-glomalínico representó entre un 16,6% a un 26,1% del C total, lo que resulta de sumo <strong>in</strong>terés por la contribución que tendrían estos sistemas forestales en la secuestración del CO 2 atmosférico. Estos niveles tan altos de C encontrado en Andisoles asociado a la glomal<strong>in</strong>a permiten sugerir un cambio metodológico en el fraccionamiento de la MOS cuando éste se aplica a este tipo de suelos. F<strong>in</strong>almente, dado que la glomal<strong>in</strong>a es producto de la actividad de los HMA se sugiere un manejo adecuado que permita preservar el potencial micorrícico de los sistemas boscosos. La estabilidad de la glomal<strong>in</strong>a en estos suelos con elevados niveles de Al como lo son los suelos al<strong>of</strong>ánicos es un aspecto del cual se carece de antecedentes pero que en estos hábitats pudiera ser de capital importancia en relación al ci<strong>cl</strong>ado del COS. Este es un tema que merece especial atención tanto desde el punto de vista metodológico como ecológico que amerita ser abordado.
