PEMEX CLARIFIES
UNFOUNDED VERSIONS
REGARDING THE CARE
DEMANDS OF SOCIAL
GROUPS
Villahermosa, Tab - . Upon ratifying its
commitment to cooperate in improving
the living conditions of the communities
located in areas of oil influence, denies
Pemex recently versions in the sense
that it would provide cash resources to
individuals and groups demanding.
It is recalled that pass 6 of December,
Pemex and the government of Tabasco
signed a framework agreement in
which both parties undertake to promote
sustainable development and social responsibility
in order to ensure better living
conditions and security for the people
of Tabasco.
Derived from this agreement, the Interagency
Group on Planning and Follow
up joined within the special subcommittee
for Case 123 Terra Well was
instituted.
Thus, in order to meet the demands
of the communities surrounding the well
last March has been created various
workshops.
In these meetings included seven
groups of representatives from the various
communities in the municipalities
of Jalpa de Méndez and Nacajuca. Of
these, six had their proposals. while only
a group of delegates abstained and left
the table after his request of receive payment
for affectations is denay and without
going through the process of attention
is provided.
Although it was explained that Pemex
is legally unable to deliver cash, this group
of protesters proceeded to mobilize and
block access to several oil facilities.

performed by Pemex in the region
are conducted in accordance with applicable
institutional regulations, which
strictly excludes grant cash resources.
In this situation, Pemex reiterates its
commitent to work with the implementation
of programs, projects and actions
for the benefit of communities in the oil
areas of Tabasco.
