Detectar y caracterizar análogos exo-solares (débiles) al<br />
cinturón <strong>de</strong> Edgeworth-Kuiper (CEK)<br />
Herschel tiene ventajas comparado con<br />
observatorios espaciales anteriores:<br />
• Mayor espejo, menor tamaño <strong>de</strong>l haz,<br />
mejor resolución, menor confusión.<br />
• Sensible a > 70 µm. PACS 100 µm<br />
es el más a<strong>de</strong>cuado para discos en el<br />
rango T polvo ∼ 20 -100 K y óptimo para<br />
30 - 40 K.<br />
CEK: L polvo /L ∼ 10 -6 - 10 -7<br />
Límites <strong>de</strong> <strong>de</strong>tección (10 PACS 100 µm)<br />
para una estrella G5V a 20 pc frente a T polvo
