En su cuarta participación, sueña con el 4 de julio y
con la contrarreloj individual de Utrecht, un objetivo
para él desde hace meses ... Ha recorrido junto a Nairo
Quintana buena parte de su camino al Tour: San Luis
(ganó una etapa), Tirreno (se llevó el prólogo y fue líder
durante tres días) y las clásicas flamencas, antes
de volver a vencer -y subirse al podio- en La Sarthe ...
Valor esencial para el trabajo en el llano y la contrarreloj
por equipos, donde también se desenvuelve a
la perfección.
Riding the Tour de France for the fourth time, he’s
dreamt about July 4th and the opening ITT in Utrecht
for months ... Rode alongside Nairo for most of his
Tour de France preparation schedule: San Luis (took
a stage win), Tirreno (claimed the prologue and wore
the Maglia Azzurra for three days) and the Flemish
classics, before embarking himself on a great fight in
La Sarthe (another TT win, GC podium) ... An essential
support into the flat and the team time trial, the
Italian excellent in both terrains.
