MEMORIAL FRANCISCO FORT<br />
On Saturday 2 nd<br />
of March the Band Association of Alcázar de San Juan<br />
have gone to Moncada (Valencia), to participate in a Youth Band Contest<br />
Memorial Francisco Fort. Several members of this youth band study in our<br />
school, such Noel (percussion) of 4º and Adrián (clarinet) of 5ºA and<br />
other members who are no longer in the school such as Gillermo<br />
(bassoon), david (percussion), Alejandro (percussion) and Elsa (oboe).<br />
They played three works: La Gran Via,Concerto d´Amore and African<br />
Symphony, they sounded very well and scored 233 points, staying 1 st in<br />
their category. They did it very well and we hope they continue getting<br />
many successes and soon.<br />

CROWNS CARNIVAL QUEEN<br />
This year the honor went to Priscila<br />
Medina Quintero who beat 18 other<br />
contestants at the popular Canary<br />
Island Festival.<br />
It was declared a tourist festival of<br />
international interest by Spain in 1980<br />
and is one of the most well- known in<br />
the world. It begins on February 1 st<br />
and goes until March 10 th .<br />
The main event of the Carnival is the<br />
queen Gala, where contestants wear<br />
costumes that are several meters tall<br />
and can weigh up to 200 kilos.<br />
