With world-class golf courses virtually carpeting the Coast wall-to-wall, wherever you are on the
Costa del Sol you’ll never be much more than a chip and a putt from the immaculately
manicured greens and fairways that have earned this uniquely privileged region of Southern
Spain the coveted title, ‘Costa del Golf’.
Indisputably a paradise for golfers, with more
than 50 courses – and others on the
drawingboard – you could quite literally play a
round on a different one every week of the year.
Of course with such a vast choice there are
courses to suit every player, irrespective of their
ability and budget, and with the Costa del Sol’s
incomparable climate, you can enjoy teeing off all
year round.
But despite their proximity to one another, each
golf course has its own distinct playing style
ranging from Valderrama’s tight fairways
winding through forests of cork trees, to the
classic Links course at Alcaidesa with almost two
kilometres of beachfront and breathtaking views
of the Rock of Gibraltar and the rugged coast of
North Africa. Then again, you might prefer to
play golf after dark, in which case the 9-hole
Dama de Noche – floodlit at night – is the place
to be.
