By the Decree on Concentrations Known to be Hazardous (795/2007),
the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health has confi rmed a list of concentrations
of impurities in workplace air known to be hazardous (HTP values)
and a list of corresponding indicative limit values for biological exposure
indicators. The lists are enclosed as annexes 1 and 2 with this publication.
The values are intended to be taken into account when assessing
the quality of workplace air, the employees’ exposure and the signifi cance
of the results of measurements.
This publication replaces the previous publication “HTP-arvot 2005”,
Oppaita 2005:10 by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.
The list in annex 1 to this publication has been completed by 15 new
main entries with HTP values and other information. The HTP values
of 29 main entries have been changed. In addition, the HTP values of
21 main entries in the replaced list were discussed but no changes were
made.
If an HTP value for short-term concentration has been defi ned by
legislation for a main entry, the value is given in the column “HTP15 min”,
and the note “kattoarvo” (ceiling value) is found in the column “Huomautus”
(Remark).
The purpose is to update the publication in 2009. In annex 4 there
are titles of substances whose HTP values will be discussed in connection
with updating.
