The sterling merits of the 14/45 h.p. Rover
have been "hall-marked" by the Royal Automobile
Club, who have awarded it the Dewar
Trophy for making the most meritorious performance
in an R.A.C. Certified Trial during
the past year. Few cars have achieved this
honour-it is conferred only for the successful
accomplishment of a test far beyond the
capabilities of a car of mediocre quality. And
the 14/45 h.p. Rover has done that-has emerged
triumphant from a gruel1~ng mountaineering
trial that no car has ever before completed.
This test demonstrated indisputably the really
outstanding merit of the engine, chassis and
four-wheel brakes of the 14/45 h.p. Rover:
proved its quality beyond all question.
