Initiée en 1994 au Danemark pour les hôtels, La
Clef Verte, label de gestion environnementale
pour les hébergements touristiques, a été
adaptée en 1998 pour les campings, par l'office
français de la Fondation pour l'Education à
l'Environnement en Europe (of-FEEE).
La candidature Clef Verte résulte d'une
démarche volontaire. Chaque candidat doit
répondre favorablement à un nombre de critères
précis liés à la qualité de vie sur le site, à
des pratiques de gestion générale respectueuses
de l'environnement, à l'information et
la sensibilisation du public et du personnel, à la
gestion des déchets, de l'eau et de l'énergie.

The Green Key is a label which
awards the environmentally
friendly campsites.
It was first created in Denmark in
1994 for hotels, and adapted then in
France in 1998 for campsites by the
French office of Foundation for
Environmental Education in Europe.
The adaptation was made in collaboration
with the French Federation
of Naturism, the historical partner
of the Green key in France. It is now
going since 5 years.
This label encourages the managers
to adopt good practices in their
management, and also gives you
the guaranty that they respect the
environment.
