« Equation Note ! » peinte en 1986, tôt dans sa carrière de peintre,
est une expression riche des styles dont il est l’inventeur, le Maitre
et qui feront sa renommée, l’« Iconoklast Panzerism » et le « Gothic
Futurism » qui allient abstraction et « guerre des lettres de l’alphabet »
ici représentée en équation. Son œuvre pluridisciplinaire (peinture,
musique, vidéo et sculpture) sera entièrement construite autour de
cette théorie. Henk Pijnenburg, dont provient cette œuvre a été un
des tous premiers collectionneurs à installer le graffiti en musée. Il est
à l’origine de l’exposition cataloguée « Coming from the subway » au
Groninger Museum (Pays-Bas) en 1992.

« Equation Note !», painted in 1986, early in his carrier, is a rich
expression of the styles he invented and mastered and that made him
famous.
« Iconoklast Panzerism » and « Gothic Futurism », both combine
abstraction and “letters and alphabet war”, here presented as an
equation. His pluridisciplinary work (painting, music, video, sculpture) is
entirely built around this theory. Henk Pijnenburg, former owner of this
painting, was one of the first collectors to place graffiti into museums.
He was the main mastermind behind the exhibition « Coming from the
subway » at the Groninger Museum (Netherlands) in 1992.
