one of the highest coastal cliffs in Europe, may cause generate a <strong>tsunami</strong> threatening the harbor and<br />

beaches of this touristic city. In a first step a suitable numerical mo<strong>de</strong>l will be consi<strong>de</strong>red for<br />

simulating gravitational flow due the collapse (SPH method, VOF method, etc.). In a second step<br />

this mo<strong>de</strong>l will coupled together with a numerival co<strong>de</strong> of Boussinesq type mo<strong>de</strong>lling wave<br />

propagation and runup at the coast. Experiments will be conducted in hydraulic tank of Ecole<br />

Centrale Marseille for validating the numerical approach used. Waves generated by falling masses<br />

will consi<strong>de</strong>red.<br />
