PARTNERING FOR SUCCESS:Why Coproduce with <strong>Canada</strong>?<strong>Telefilm</strong> <strong>Canada</strong> administers all international agreements governing official coproductionson behalf of the Department of Canadian Heritage. The official coproductionagreements signed between <strong>Canada</strong> and other countries enable Canadian and foreignproducers to pool their resources in order to coproduce film and television programsthat enjoy national production status in each of the countries involved. In 2007, thevolume of Canadian international coproduction budgets reached CAD $540 million.To date, <strong>Canada</strong> has signed official international audiovisual coproduction agreementscovering 53 countries.
