• Voltage: The usual plug in Hanoi is two round<br />

prongs, and voltage is 220. Travel adapter is<br />

recommended to bring.<br />

• DO NOT wear expensive jewellery or carry too<br />

much valuables with you whilst during touring.<br />

• Advisable to bring along your own medicine if<br />

you are on meditation.<br />

• Petty crime is something of an issue, as with any<br />

big city, so visitor are advice to exercise common<br />

sense with regards to what they carry and how<br />

they carry it.<br />

• Keep cash and valuable items in hard-to-reach<br />

places and void wearing bags in a manner that<br />

makes them easy to be snatched or opened<br />

without you realizing.<br />

• Busy place often attract petty criminals, so be<br />

extra vigilant when frequenting these locations.<br />

• Place your toiletries in a zip-lock bag to avoid<br />

damaging your clothes is spilled.<br />

• Bring a sweater, raincoat/umbrella, comfortable<br />

walking shoe (sport shoe is most recommended),<br />

sunscreen, sunglasses, water-bottles, moisturizer,<br />

and lip gloss.<br />

• Most uses currency is Viatnemese Dong and<br />

American Dollar (please refer page 2). Instead<br />

cash, common credit cards also can be used for<br />

purchasing.<br />

• Always carry travel documents, passport,<br />

medication, jewelry & other valuables in your<br />

carry-on luggage. Never checked these items in<br />

your check-in luggage.<br />

• Formal spoken language is Vietnamese, but<br />

simple English is can be understand by most<br />

local.<br />
