It is an endless void. Within it – only a few planets capable of supporting life. All of them are home to intelligent species. But
it is no coincidence they reached Space Age all at once – discovering they could not coexist.
The Arachnids: Instinct driven yet intelligent, ever mutating monsters motivated to either eat you or lay eggs in you… or
both.
The populace of Mother-ship Theta, a remnant of a lost civilization with sophisticated technology and marvelous
machinery… is devoid of morality. We’d like to think that is why they left their exhausted planet.
The Plant Mind is a sentient vegetation system, spreading from planetary surface into space. It will colonize any and all
planets and even barren asteroids… and you cannot convince a tree not to grow.
And of course there is us. We humans have heavy industry, vigilant military, powerful orbital defenses and huge battleships.
We also have all the things we love, like bureaucracy, corruption, terrorism and POLITICS. It is a wonder that we’ve survived
this long.
The game supports up to four players.
Everyone picks a solar system and places on it the planet of their choice.
Your chosen planet comes with unique faction abilities, a deck of forty cards and three leader cards.
Each turn you have to play a variable number of cards, depending on your planet position.
Then you keep what’s left unplayed and refill your hand up to five cards. This lets you plan ahead.
A Place in the Sun is a game of intuitive player interaction, intense hand management and crucial decision making.
After the post-apocalyptic adventure in Bright Future, this is our second game. We have been developing this game for over
a year now. We have completed all designs, rules and most of the amazing art you can currently see. At this time the game
has more than two hundred play tests and it has proven itself to be fun, medium weight and deeply thematic.
Intelligent life is an isolated phenomenon in the universe. There are but a few inhabitable planets – and one of them is our
Kickstarter team: video tips
Your project video's file size must be 5GB or less and one of the following file types: MOV, MP4, or WMV. We take the video
file you upload and create a 640 x 360 (16:9 ratio) version to display on your project page.
For video encoding, use WMV format in Windows. On Mac, use H.264. In both cases, the key variable is the “bit rate,” so
look for that box. If it’s measured in kilobits per second (kbps), try 1500 to start. If it’s measured in megabits per second
(Mbps), try 1.5. If the file is too big: make that number smaller. If the quality seems bad: make it bigger.

Hooray! Your file is uploaded and ready to be published.
