system?<br />
The Dolby NR (noise<br />
reduction) system eliminates<br />
tape hiss noise by boosting<br />
low-level signals in the highfrequency<br />
range during<br />
recording, then lowering<br />
them during playback. Type<br />
C provides greater noise<br />
reduction than type B.<br />
