Hailing from the highlands of Guatamala, Zacapa has established itself as
one of the leading luxury brands in the world of rum. Lower temperatures
at this higher altitude slow the ageing process, while the thinner air helps
to intensify the infusion of flavours from the barrels. Zacapa Royal is the
brand’s flagship rum, which is triple aged in three different barrel types
over a 30-year period. The result is an impressively full-bodied rum that is

In the foothills of the Andes mountains lies Venezuela’s Diplomático
distillery. Sugar cane molasses is used to produce its lighter styles while
sugar cane honeys add an extra dimension of complexity to the top end
of the range. Sitting at the top of the tree is Diplomático Ambassador,
developing complex flavours over the course of a 14-year maturation prior
to bottling.

LA FAVORITE
La Favorite distillery matures aged rums in accordance with Martinique
tradition – using old oak casks that have already given up their tannins from
the previous storage of whisky or cognac. It is in these carefully selected
barrels that the unique flavours of Cuvée Flibuste gradually develop over
a period of 25 years.
