Octavio Amado est un designer argentin arrivé
à Paris en 1996.
Lauréat des Beaux-Arts, le choix de se diriger
vers le design luminaire devient dès ses
premiers desseins une évidence.
Son expérience lui permet d’avoir une forte
identité personnelle qu’il saura faire apparaître
aussi bien dans ses produits que
des ses collaborations avec des architectes
pour des projets d’envergure.
Il crée la société octavioamado®, à Paris en
France, en 2002.
Octavio Amado is an Argentinian designer
who arrived in Paris in 1996.
Laureate of the Beaux-Arts, the choice to move
towards lighting design became obvious from
his first designs.
His experience allows him to have a strong
personal identity that he will be able to bring
out both in his products and
its collaborations with architects for large-scale
projects.
He created the company octavioamado®, in
Pairs, France, in 2002.

Bespoke chandeliers - collections - projects

Fusion d’un atelier artisanal où patience et créativité guident le design, et d’un
laboratoire de recherches où la noblesse des matières rencontre la robotique
des imprimantes 3D, le studio Octavio Amado produit des luminaires luxueux
et élégants.
Installés dans le monde entier : musées, ambassades, hôtels, universités,
médiathèques, entrées de bâtiments publics, centres commerciaux, ce sont
des lieux innombrables dans une multitude de pays, illuminés par le savoir-faire
made in Paris du studio Octavio Amado.
Nos sculptures sont entièrement réalisées à la main dans nos ateliers du Grand
Paris selon un savoir faire minutieux et une grande attention portée aux détails.
Quelques unes sont par la suite éditées en huit exemplaires numérotés. ​
Fusion of a craft workshop where patience and creativity guide the design with
the inclusion of a research laboratory where the nobility of materials meets the
robotics of 3D printers. Using this innovative approaches the studio Octavio
Amado produces luxurious and elegant lightening.
Using the know how of Octavio’s work, based out of his Paris studio, he has
touched many places in countries all over the world. Octavioamado is proud to
have installations in : museums, embassies, hotels, universities, mediatheques,
entrances to public buildings and shopping centers.
Our handmade sculptures are entirely handmade in Greater Paris with
meticulous craftmanship and great attention to detail, some of them are edited
in eight unique editions.

with compoments CE listed.

BESPOKE CHANDELIERS
Nos créations réunissent trois propositions fortes : elles illuminent, elles
décorent, elles provoquent l’émotion. Toutes sont des installations sur mesure,
véritables œuvres d’exception.
Un travail sur la translucidité de l’albâtre et le chic du laiton, en passant par
l’impression 3D et la porcelaine de Limoges, c’est un concept de bijoux
d’intérieur que nous proposons pour des projets architecturaux.
Our creations bring together three strong proposals: they illuminate, they
decorate, they provoke emotion. All are bespoke installations, truly exceptional
works.
A work on the translucency of alabaster and the chic of brass, through 3D
printing and Limoges porcelain, it is an interior jewelry concept that we offer for
architectural projects.

COLLECTIONS
Un système évolutif de construction composé de trois formes géométriques,
un clin d’œil à l’œuvre de Calder conçu comme un vêtement, un travail sur la
lumière et ses reflets sur des lignes angulaires...
C’est toute une architecture lumineuse développée au sein de la marque,
donnant naissance à des collections destinées à des univers aussi bien
intimistes que monumentaux.
An evolving construction system made up of three geometric shapes, a nod
to Calder’s work conceived as cloth, a work on light and its reflections on
angular lines...
It’s a true luminous architecture developed within the brand, giving birth to
collections, intented as well for intimist spaces as monumental ones.

FOLD
Fold est un système évolutif de construction composé de trois
polygones aux côtés égaux. Des volumes de formes et tailles
diférentes peuvent être construits en reliant les modules.
Nous avons conçus une vaste gamme avec des formes
classiques mais aussi avec des dessins uniques.
FOLD is an evolutionary construction system made up
of three polygons with equal sides.Volumes of different
shapes and sizes can be built by connecting the modules.
We designed a wide range with classical shapes, and
others unique designs.

SMOOTHY
Créée en clin d’œil à l’œuvre de Calder et conçue
comme des vêtements avec une peau démontable,
souple et résistante flottant sur des structures
métalliques,
Smoothy se caractérise par la translucidité, la
mobilité, et la légèreté.
Une ossature done la forme, une matière souple
et translucide cousue le long de cette structure
ensserre le dispositif lumineux à LED
(enlevé, il permet un stockage et un transport à plat).
Created as a nod to Calder’s work, and
conceived as clothes with a removable,
flexible and resistant skin, floating
on metallic strucutres, SMOOTHY is
characterized by its transluency, its
mobility and lightness.
A skeleton gives shape, a flexible and
translucent material sewn along this
strucutre encloses the LED light device
(when removed, it allows flat storage and
transportation).

La perpétuelle évolution de notre collection, l’ambition du détail et de la qualité,
nous mènent à des projets de plus en plus diversifiés.
Ce sont à chaque fois des demandes différentes et des esprits différents
pour lesquels nous nous efforçons de produire, depuis 2002, des pièces
d’exception, en parfait accord avec les espaces dans lesquels elles sont
installées, dans une optique de rendre leur présence la plus naturelle
possible.
The perpetual evolution of our collection, the ambition of detail and quality,
lead us to increasingly diversified projects.
It is each time different requests and different spirits for which we work hard
to produce, since 2002, exceptional pieces, in perfect harmony with the
spaces in which they are installed, with the aim to making their presence the

2022
Immeuble Les Terrasses Magellan
Noisy-le-Grand, Grand Paris
Notre toute dernière création sur-mesure, pour un projet de Brenac & Gonzalez
& Associés pour Eiffage immobilier, à Noisy-le-Grand.
Dans le cadre du dispositif « Un immeuble Une œuvre »,
nous avons été choisis par le jury pour créer deux sculptures
de lumière pour les halls de ce nouveau projet d’Eiffage immobilier.
L’œuvre « Vanités » est le dialogue entre deux compositions :
« Vanité Blanche» dans le Hall A et « Vanité Noire » dans le Hall B de l’immeuble.
Dans le reflet du miroir, les éléments comparent la beauté de leurs formes, la
douceur de leur luminosité et l’éclat de leurs ornements dorés.
Our latest bespoke creation, for Brenac & Gonzalez & Associés’ project, for
Eiffage immobilier in Noisy-le-Grand.
As part of the «One building One work» system, we were chosen by the jury to
create two sculptures of light for the two halls of Eiffage immobilier new project.
The works «Vanités» is the dialogue between two compositions:
«White Vanity» in Hall A and «Black Vanity» in Hall B of the building.
Through the mirror, the two elements compare the beauty of their shapes, the
softness of their light, and the brilliance of their golden ornaments.

2017
Centre Commercial Serenada
Cracovie, Pologne
Réalisation de mobiles lumineux avec les modules Smoothy et Fold pour le
centre commercial Sérénada à Cracovie.
Nous sommes heureux de la confiance que nous a accordé l’investisseur
Mayland Real Estate, un des promoteurs de premier plan et gestionnaire de
grands centres commerciaux en Pologne.
Notre projet consiste en trois installations monumentales : «L’Homme qui
marchait dans l’Espace», «Les Trois Emeraudes» et «Cinétique». Elles habitent
les vides, des espaces de double et triple hauteur du centre, en donnant à
chacun une identité unique.
Les mobiles sont composés du module Smoothy N°1, et du modèle Fold
Agathe. Ils sont déployés sur deux étages et les animent grâce au mouvement
que le module fait sur lui-même ainsi que le mouvement du mobile.
Enfin, la lumière est apportée avec un système LED effet bougie.
Realisation of luminous mobiles with Smoothy and Fold modules for the
Serenada shopping center in Krakow.
We are honored by the trust placed in us by the investor Mayland Real Estate,
one of the leading developers and managers of large shopping centers in
Poland.
Our project consists of three monumental installations: «The Man Who Walked
in Space», «The Three Emeralds», and «Kinetics». They inhabit the voids,
double and triple height spaces in the center, giving each a unique identity.
The mobiles are composed of the Smoothy N°1 module, and the Fold Agathe
model. They are deployed on two floors and animate them thanks to the
movement that the module makes on itself as well as the movement of the
mobile.
Finally, the light is provided with a candle-effect LED system.

Siège social de RAISE investissement
Paris, 7e arrondissement
Pour ce projet parisien de l’agence Majorelle, nous avons conçu une installation
de lumière composée de trois lustres monumentaux.
Pour l’escalier de l’immeuble de cinq étages, une sculpture de 15 mètres de
haut composée de 128 modules à facettes éclairants en led habite l’espace.
Le support au plafond en miroir ouvre un espace virtuel et prolonge visuellement
l’œuvre.
Pour les espaces lounge du 1er et 2ème étage, nous avons imaginé deux lustres
identiques avec nos matières préférées : le miroir, la LED et la translucidité.
Un travail de conception animé par la symétrie, les modules éclairants et les
fins câbles sombres presque invisibles font de ces œuvres des ensembles
harmonieux.
For this Parisian project of the Majorelle agency, we designed a light installation
made of three monumental chandeliers.
For the stairs of the five floor building, a 15 meter high sculpture with 128 LED
illuminated modules inhabits the space.
The mirrored ceiling support opens up a virtual space and visually extends
the work.
For the lounge areas on the 1st and 2nd floor, we imagined two identical
chandeliers with our favorite materials: mirror, LED and translucency.
A work of design animated by symmetry, the illuminating modules and the
almost invisible thin dark cables make these works harmonious sets.

Loft Parisien
Paris, 16e arrondissement
Effets de matières à fortes personnalités pour ce loft parisien à l’allure industrielle.
Nous avons conçu sur mesure un luminaire mobile à deux axes de rotation
pour ce projet de l’architecte Christine de Buhan.
Les modules translucides sont en miroir argent, cuivre, blanc et cyan.
Les structures métalliques ont été traitées avec une patine fait main cohérente
au style de l’appartement.
Effects of materials with strong personalities for this Parisian loft with an
industrial look.
We designed a moving suspension with two axes of rotation for a project of the
architect Christine de Buhan.
The translucent modules are mirror silver, copper, white and cyan.
The metal structures have been treated with a handmade patina according
with the style of the apartment.

Siège social Bouygues Immobilier
Issy-les-Moulineaux, Grand Paris
Le lustre « Topaze » a été créé pour la salle du conseil de la Société Bouygues
Immobilier.
Le parfait dialogue entre l’espace à l’allure de cathédrale triangulaire et les neuf
modules éclairants suspendus.
Il est construit en aluminium et en matières non feu translucides.
Grâce à un système de poulies et des contrepoids en marbre, on peut régler sa
hauteur et le rendre accessible pour un entretien éventuel.
The “Topaze” suspension was created for the council chamber of Bouygues
Immobilier society.
The perfect dialogue between the triangular cathedral-like space and the nine
suspended lighting modules.
It is made of aluminum and translucent fireproof materials.
Thanks to a system of pulleys and marble counterweights, you can adjust its
height and make it accessible for possible maintenance.

Hall d’immeuble
Boulogne Billancourt, Grand Paris
La restructuration de Quai Ouest a été guidée par la volonté d’atteindre un
excellent niveau de performance environnementale à travers le traitement des
façades (confort acoustique, confort thermique), l’aménagement des espaces
intérieurs, le choix de privilégier la lumière naturelle mais aussi la mise à
disposition des usagers d’un grand nombre d’espaces végétalisés.
L’immeuble est certifié HQE bâtiments tertiaires - niveau exceptionnel,
BREEAM 2009 Europe commercial - niveau very good et labellisé HPE niveau
BBC-EFFINERGIE rénovation 2009.
Nos luminaires de la gamme FOLD ont été installés dans le Hall d’entrée.

«The restructuring of «Quai Ouest» was guided by the desire to achieve an
excellent level of environmental performance through the treatment of the
facades (acoustic comfort, thermal comfort), the amenagement of the interior
spaces, the choice to favor natural light but also giving users a large number
of green spaces”.
The building is certified HQE tertiary buildings - exceptional level, BREEAM
2009 Europe commercial - very good level and labeled HPE level BBC-
EFFINERGIE renovation 2009.
Our lights from the FOLD range have been installed in the entrance hall.
