In 2010 / 2011 the Altrad Group logistics
& transport subsidiary continued to work
toward controlling costs in the sister subsidiaries,
to obtain a balanced result. It is
worth noting how much more complex
transport activity has become with decreasing
capacities in Europe and increasing
cost prices (fuel, tense social climate, restrictive
European environmental standards…).
The Group’s integrated strategy over the
past 9 years has allowed us to guarantee
the sales companies with logistics and distribution
services, even if some problems
still remain in terms of stock availability in
certain sectors.
Now in its 3rd financial year, the Group’s
international freight transport system
recorded an increase in flow of 18% compared
to last year, due to organic growth
and the acquisition of new markets.
The company’s ongoing philosophy is to
strive to set up effective transport partnerships,
optimise means and sub-contractors
and coordinate inter-subsidiary operations.

In functional terms, project management
was mainly directed at :
- Starting up a Logistics & Transport Progress
Unit aimed at optimising costs and
improving the quality of service.
- Germany : participating in the temporary
Progress Unit to reorganize the sites.
- France : Setting up a cross dock system at
Altrad Saint Denis to deliver to customers
in the Paris Region.
- France : integrating distribution of the
Guy Noel brand from Altrad Logistique
42 following the new industrial plan.
For the financial year 2012, Altrad Logistique
will enhance its international operational
development in accordance with
internal and external growth, while taking
account of any economic fluctuations that
may rapidly arise on certain markets.
On a cross-functional basis, Altrad Logistique
remains at the disposal of General
Management and company managers,
offering its expertise on demand, to any
company in the Group
