Darat dengan luas 12.328.523,34 hektar
dan 7 unit Taman Nasional Laut dengan luas
4.043.541,30 hektar.
Taman Wisata Alam adalah kawasan
pelestarian alam dengan tujuan utama untuk
dimanfaatkan bagi kepentingan pariwisata
dan rekreasi alam. Saat ini terdapat 102
unit Taman Wisata Alam Darat dengan
total luas sekitar 257.418,85 hektar dan 14
Taman Wisata Laut dengan total luas sekitar
491.248,00 hektar.
Taman Hutan Raya merupakan kawasan
pelestarian alam yang ditetapkan untuk
tujuan koleksi tumbuh-tumbuhan dan/atau
satwa yang alami atau bukan alami, dari jenis
asli atau bukan asli, yang dimanfaatkan bagi
kepentingan penelitian, ilmu pengetahuan,
pendidikan, penunjang budidaya tumbuhan
dan/atau satwa, budaya, pariwisata, dan
rekreasi. Saat ini terdapat 22 unit Taman
Hutan Raya dengan luas total sekitar
350.090,41 hektar.
Taman Buru adalah kawasan hutan yang
ditetapkan sebagai tempat wisata buru. Saat
ini terdapat 13 unit Taman Buru dengan total
luas sekitar 220.951,44 hektar.
Sampai dengan akhir tahun 2010, Kementerian
Kehutanan telah menetapkan jenis flora dan
fauna yang dilindungi adalah : mamalia (127
jenis), burung (382 jenis), reptilia (31 jenis),
ikan (9 jenis), serangga (20 jenis), krustasea
(2 jenis), anthozoa (1 jenis) dan bivalvia (12
jenis).
Sebagai salah satu upaya untuk menangani
perdagangan flora dan fauna yang mendekati
kepunahan, Indonesia telah menandatangani
konvensi CITES dan mendaftarkan sejumlah
jenis flora dan fauna ke dalam Appendix I
dan II.
EKSPOR SATWA DAN TUMBUHAN
Pada tahun 2010, ekspor satwa liar antara
lain mammalia, amphibia, koral, buaya/kulit
buaya dan ikan, menghasilkan dengan nilai
ekspor sekitar Rp. 2.918.840.600 miliar.
Dari jumlah tersebut, nilai ekspor terbesar
diperoleh dari ekspor ikan arwana yaitu
sebesar Rp. 1,989 miliar.

Nature Recreation Park is a natural
preservation area mainly for the benefit
of ecotourism and recreational site. At
present there are 104 Terrestrial Nature
Recreation Parks with a total
area of approximately 257,418.85 ha.
and 14 Marine Nature Recreation Parks
with a total area of approximately
491,248.00 hectares.
Grand Forest Park is a natural
preservation area specifically dedicated
for collection of animal and plant
species, both indigenous and exotic
for research, scientific, support for
plant and or animal breeding, culture,
tourism, and recreational purposes. At
present there are 22 unit Grand Forest
Parks with a total area of appoximately
350,090.41 hectares.
Hunting Resort is a forest area
designated for hunting. At present
there are 13 Hunting resort with a
total area of approximately 220,951.44
hectares.
Up to the end of 2010, the Ministry
of Forestry has managed to protect
the following species : mammals (127

anthozoa (1 species) and bivalves (12

As one effort to manage the trade
of flora and fauna which close to the
extinction, the Ministry of Forestry has
listed a number of species of flora and
fauna into CITES appendices.
