1955
Establishment of Zakat's law
which is an enactment of
Jabatan Zakat Negeri Kedah.
Appointment of amil to ease
process of collection &
distribution of zakat.
2015
Lembaga Zakat Negeri Kedah
(LZNK) enactment was
implemented in this year to
replace Jabatan Zakat Negeri
Kedah (JZNK) enactment
1935
Establishment of LZNK.
Distribution of zakat is officially
made for people in Kedah in 1936
through The Riyal Zakat Gathering
(Perhimpunan Riyal Zakat) and
Sadaqah tu Muslims in Kedah.
1984
The payment of zakat harta has
been extended and applied to
all areas of property that are
obligatory for zakat.
It contributes to the increase of
zakat collection.
