di discesa controllata del sedile copriwater:
una speciale cartuccia oleodinamica integrata
nella cerniera esercita una forza contraria alla
spinta gravitazionale che permette al sedile e
al coperchio di chiudersi lentamente senza il
bisogno di accompagnarne la corsa con la mano.
Gli studi di laboratorio non hanno evidenziato
problemi anche dopo 50.000 cicli continui di
apertura e chiusura: un dato importante che
assicura l’estrema affidabilità e longevità del
prodotto, anche in situazioni in cui il meccanismo
venga sollecitato ripetutamente (locali pubblici,
ospedali, comunità). Il sistema Soft Close è un
semplice accorgimento con cui impreziosire
l’ambiente bagno: soprattutto in presenza di
bambini, i quali potrebbero inavvertitamente
farsi male con un normale sedile copriwater.
Dati i positivi riscontri finora ottenuti, Friges ha
realizzato un set di cerniere Soft Close anche per
la propria linea di sedili termoindurenti: in questo
caso, grazie alla diversa tecnologia produttiva, è
stato possibile integrare la cartuccia direttamente
all’interno del sedile, rendendo così l’impatto
estetico del sistema Soft Close pari a zero.

Soft Close is a simple device
enhancing the value of the
bathroom: for example, this
mechanism can prevent unpleasing
domestic incidents, especially
when there are children around
who can hurt their hands with a
normal toilet seat. The positive
feedback achieved so far led Friges
to develop a set of soft close hinges
also for the thermosetting toilet
seat: in this case, the cartridge
can be directly incorporated in
the toilet seat itself, making the
aesthetic impact of the soft close
system even less relevant.

montare alternativamente una
cerniera tradizionale (foto 2) o
una cerniera Soft Close (foto
3) sullo stesso sedile. L’ampio
alloggiamento, che nel primo
caso permette l’utilizzo di una
normale cerniera in acciaio in
funzione del pratico adattatore
in plastica, fa sì che il peso del
sistema Soft Close sull’intero
sedile sia pari a zero.
