Nel 1994 Dennis contribuì a formare una società <strong>di</strong> ottica <strong>di</strong>g<strong>it</strong>ale cinematografica chiamata Cine-Byte,<br />
permettendogli <strong>di</strong> ampliare le sue esperienze nell’industria mentre lavorava quoti<strong>di</strong>anamente alla produzione<br />
<strong>di</strong> scanner ad alta risoluzione, registrazioni <strong>di</strong> f<strong>il</strong>m e effetti <strong>di</strong>g<strong>it</strong>ali. Nel 1997 si trasferì a Command Post<br />
Toybox (Toronto) per fondare un Dipartimento <strong>di</strong> Effetti Visivi. Ben presto si fece la reputazione <strong>di</strong> esperto<br />
nel campo dell’animazione a computer e <strong>di</strong> persona qualificata a sv<strong>il</strong>uppare team capaci <strong>di</strong> affrontare progetti<br />
complessi e innovativi. Proprio durante questo periodo si manifestò l’entusiasmo <strong>di</strong> Berar<strong>di</strong> per <strong>il</strong> lavoro<br />
sulle immagini e capì <strong>il</strong> suo talento naturale <strong>di</strong> nel creare <strong>di</strong> effetti visivi per quei f<strong>il</strong>m innovativi dal punto <strong>di</strong><br />
vista visuale come The Cell – La Cellula <strong>di</strong> Tarsem e Fight Club <strong>di</strong> Fincher.<br />
Nel 2001 Dennis Berar<strong>di</strong> fondò la Mr. X con la TOPIX, una casa <strong>di</strong> animazione e progettazione pubblic<strong>it</strong>aria<br />
con lo scopo <strong>di</strong> creare l’ambiente <strong>di</strong> una casa <strong>di</strong> produzione cinematografica basata su artisti che avrebbe<br />
contribu<strong>it</strong>o a capire come un’idea o una storia è interpretata visualmente per un f<strong>il</strong>m.<br />
La sua casa <strong>di</strong> produzione cinematografica si è stab<strong>il</strong><strong>it</strong>a come azienda leader in Nord America, con mer<strong>it</strong>i per<br />
dozzine <strong>di</strong> progetti molto <strong>di</strong>fferenti l’uno dall’altro come i più recenti Hot Tub Time Machine (2010), Letters<br />
To Juliet (2010), Fast & Furious (2009), Sin Nombre (2009), Amelia (2009), Motel Woodstock (2009),<br />
Death Race (2008), The Rocker (2008), Flash of Genius (2008), Eastern Promises (2007), <strong>Resident</strong> Ev<strong>il</strong>:<br />

Dalla creativa collaborazione con altri registi Berar<strong>di</strong> ha iniziato a creare contenuti propri originali. Il suo<br />
primo tentativo nella produzione cinematografica gli ha fatto assegnare la produzione <strong>di</strong> Cube Zero, <strong>il</strong> primo<br />
cap<strong>it</strong>olo <strong>di</strong> una serie <strong>di</strong> f<strong>il</strong>m cult Cube – Il Cubo . Berar<strong>di</strong> continuò ad accrescere questo successo iniziale con<br />
la produzione del f<strong>il</strong>m Skinwalkers – La Notte dela Luna Rossa che fu completato nel 2006 e lanciato nei<br />
cinema del Nord America dalla After Dark F<strong>il</strong>ms.<br />
Oggi la Mr. X conta 125 <strong>di</strong>pendenti e attualmente sta lavorando alla produzione <strong>di</strong> Scott P<strong>il</strong>grim vs. The<br />
World, The Thing, <strong>Resident</strong> Ev<strong>il</strong>: <strong>Afterlife</strong> e TRON: LEGACY.<br />
NIVEN HOWIE (E<strong>di</strong>tor) was part of a successful local band wh<strong>il</strong>e studying at college in the early<br />
’80s. Consequently, he believed he would follow a career in music. However, events led him to a job as a<br />
trainee e<strong>di</strong>tor at a f<strong>il</strong>m and video fac<strong>il</strong><strong>it</strong>y on Wardour Street, Soho. Because of his affin<strong>it</strong>y for music, Howie<br />
very quickly established himself as one of the most sought-after music-video e<strong>di</strong>tors in London. He soon<br />
added commercials to his portfolio, and <strong>it</strong> wasn't long before his work began to win awards.<br />
In 1988, Howie <strong>di</strong>rected his first music video, which led him to work in New York, Los Angeles and<br />
all over Europe. In 1994, Julien Temple, a regular music video client, asked Howie to e<strong>di</strong>t the feature f<strong>il</strong>m<br />
Bullet, starring Mickey Rourke, Tupac Shakur and Ted Levine. He never looked back. Howie has now e<strong>di</strong>ted<br />
many very successful feature f<strong>il</strong>ms inclu<strong>di</strong>ng Death Race, <strong>Resident</strong> Ev<strong>il</strong>: Extinction, After Life, The<br />
