k. MONDIAL ASSISTANCE is not required to pay indemnities as a replacement of the guarantees of assistancedue;l. The Insured releases the doctors attending him and the people involved by the conditions of this policyfrom professional secrecy, exclusively for the events which are the subject of this insurance and exclusivelyfor MONDIAL ASSISTANCE and/or any magistrates invested with examining the event, if necessary.1.3.2 Medical expensesMONDIAL ASSISTANCE will bear directly or reimburse ‘medical expenses’:c. more than once during a trip;d. up to consumption of the capital insured per person and per insurance period.2. CANCELLATION OF THE TRIP – REIMBURSEMENT OF THE PENALTY2.2 SCOPEMONDIAL ASSISTANCE will reimburse the penalty, up to the limit of € 500.00 per person and € 5,000.00 perevent, for the cancellation or change of the service applied contractually by Aegean Airlines resulting from:m) sudden illness (or unexpected relapse) certified by a doctor;n) pathologies of pregnancy, if this was ascertained after booking;o) intolerance to vaccinations;p) accident or deathof the Insured, a family member, the business partner or joint owner of the Insured’s company or of a person who is nota family member but is named in the policy (travelling companion);q) material damage to the dwelling following natural catastrophe or theft which requires the Insured’spresence;r) dismissal or suspension from work (temporary lay-off, redeployment etc.) of the Insured or his newemployment;s) presentation of the request for divorce by the spouse;t) convocation for military/civil service;u) convocation before the competent authorities for the adoption procedures of minors;v) appointment of the Insured to jury service or his testimony made to the judicial authorities;w) theft of documents indispensable for going abroad if the impossibility of them being redone before theplanned departure date is proved;x) impossibility of reaching the point of departure of the trip following:- an accident to the means of transport while en route;- natural catastrophe occurring in the place of residence.MONDIAL ASSISTANCE will reimburse the penalty or the cost charged of making a change:• to the Insured;• all his family members;• a travelling companion,as long as insured and named in the same file.2.2 EXCLUSIONSMONDIAL ASSISTANCE will not reimburse the penalty relating to cancellations caused by:a) pre-existing accidents or illnesses of an evolutionary nature and their complications or where the conditionsor events which could cause cancellation already exist at the time of booking, unless the ability to travel wascertified by a doctor;b) chronic, neuro-psychiatric, nervous, mental and psychosomatic illnesses; pathologies due to the abuse ofalcohol and psychotropic drugs, the non-therapeutic use of dangerous or hallucinogenic drugs, suicide orattempted suicide;c) pathologies of a pregnancy which started and was known of before booking;d) professional reasons, except for the provisions of Art. 2.1./f above;e) strikes, riots, popular uprisings, closure of borders, sabotage, terrorism, war or insurrection, refusal ofconsular visas;f) for epidemics with pandemic features, of a seriousness and virulence such that there is a high level ofmortality, i.e. restrictive measures are required in order to reduce the risk of transmission to the civilpopulation;AEE Aegean All-Inclusive IT&EN int&wl 200912 p. 20 of 23
