College HistoryThe Theological College of Zimbabwe is aninstitution of the Church which is involved in thestrategic ministry of developing Christian leaders forthe Church and society. For the past twenty-three yearsGod has consistently helped us to serve the Church inthis way and we look forward to doing this for manyyears to come.What has kept the College going for all these years, especially in the midst of allsorts of changes and uncertainties in our nation, is knowing that the God whom weserve does not change. His life and His character do not change, nor does His truth andHis ways. God’s purposes for us have not changed. Knowing that God’s promises willnot fail has always given the TCZ faculty, staff and students comfort and assurance intimes of difficulty.Over the years I have been most impressed by the stories of ordinary people whomGod has used in the development of this strategic ministry. In 1986, oversight was transferred to the EvangelicalFellowship of Zimbabwe.In order to strengthen the support base for the College and to widen itseffectiveness, the College was granted autonomy in November 1997. As anindependent institution, the College maintains its interdenominational and multiculturaldistinctions, providing high-level training for Christian ministry withinZimbabwe and the Southern African sub-region.Board of TrusteesHaving been granted autonomy by the Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe, theTheological College of Zimbabwe has now been registered as the Theological Collegeof Zimbabwe Trust.
