Change is alive and well throughout our communities in Alaska. As a result of the dynamic nature of
communities, officials and other contact information are some of the most challenging data to collect
and keep current. The bulk of the data found in the Community Directory was collected in November
and December of 2007. This means that the information in the printed copy of the Alaska Community
Directory becomes progressively outdated as the calendar year passes. However, Research and Analysis
staff incorporates changes to the main database as these changes emerge, making the online version of
the Alaska Community Directory one of the most current resources for community level contact information.
