Cleaning and care<br />
When should the charcoal filter be<br />
reactivated?<br />
Reactivation should be carried out<br />
when the charcoal filter is no longer<br />
effective at neutralising odours.<br />
It should be reactivated at least every<br />
6 months.<br />
Using for the first time: if your cooker<br />
hood has a charcoal filter operating<br />
hours counter please activate it.<br />
Instructions on how to do so are<br />
given in the operating instruction<br />
manual for the cooker hood.<br />
Removing charcoal filters<br />
<strong>DKF</strong> <strong>12</strong>-R:<br />
Use a pointed instrument, e.g. a small<br />
screwdriver to release the two<br />
catches c.<br />
Carefully take the charcoal filter<br />
cassette out of the frame.<br />
Reactivate the charcoal filter cassette<br />
as described below.<br />
Only the frame can be cleaned in a<br />
<strong>di</strong>shwasher.<br />
After reactivation replace the charcoal<br />
filter cassette in the frame. Marking<br />
d on the cassette must point<br />
upwards. Secure both catches c.<br />
<strong>DKF</strong> 21-R, 25-R, 1000-R:<br />

This charcoal filter consists of two<br />
parts. The charcoal filter cassette a is<br />
fitted in a frame b. The charcoal filter<br />
cassette has to be taken out of this<br />
frame for reactivation.<br />
